Un ilot de paix et de beauté dans Dakar qui est effervescente ça n'a pas de prix. On se sent bien.

Décoration extrêmement originale et joyeuse. Personnel très agréable ainsi que la propriétaire, Loman. Les terrasses ou on peut boire un verre et manger, recevoir des amis très agréables. Clément qui gère le bar et le jeune homme qui y sert sont très accueillants. Chambre tout confort avec grande douche. Propreté irréprochable. Petit déjeuner délicieux dans le jardin en bord de piscine.

Fantastic community and stay

The art is beautiful. The rooftop is serene. And the staff were very helpful and kind! It was a great location as a solo traveler that felt warm, communal, and a nice respite from the hustle and bustle

While it is centrally located and you can always find a taxi when you’re leaving for the day, the area isn’t well known and it’s difficult to get a taxi to drop you off at the end of the day

Superb

If you are into Art, I don't think you can beat this place. The bird song and other animals bring the place to life. It's like a small oasis in Dakar. There are social events in the place which you can participate in and they also serve excellent food and drink so you really don't even have to leave the place. The staff are also very accommodating and helpful.

Make sure you inform them if you will be arriving at unconventional hours. Because of the layout of the city the place is somewhat mid way so it's a substantial taxi ride to attractions. The place itself is competitive in terms of pricing but accommodation in Dakar seems generally on the pricey side.

A beautiful space with amazing artwork. The restaurant was some of the nicest food I've had in Senegal. The owner and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. Can't recommend enough! Will be back if I am in Dakar!

Like a Family Vacation

Loman and the staff are absolutely amazing! Staying here was like being in a big family house. Breakfast was tasty and fresh every morning. The room was spacious a stunning. Initially, I was in the room with the detached bathroom--which I did not prefer, so Loman moved me across the hall. The view of the foliage from my window was very pleasant. Food! Loman invited me to dinner for Ethiopian night and I was quite surprised. I love Ethiopian food, and they did a great job with taste and flavor. Note that friendly dogs and cats roam the property. There can be quite a bit of mosquitos, so I burned incense sticks to keep them at bay; there's a net over the bed as well. They keep the grounds super clean and I felt safe as woman traveling alone. I couldn't tell you who 'security' was, but I know they knew that I was there and felt they were looking out for me.

A great place to stay with excellent rooms and amenities.

Rooms are in a fantastic art gallery. Food is cooked right on the property and is really good. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Very clean. Great pool. Has a roof top bar.

Disappointing

The staff were very friendly and great. It seems to me, this property is an art house first and foremost, while the lodgings are an afterthought. I like the people, but I think they need to differntiate both businesses. It's a great place to just visit the gallery.

The property did not mention anything about dogs, they had 4 dogs moving about freely, I do not like dogs in proximity and I am allergic. Two of the dogs were barking intermittemtly. It was very noisy, apparently there was an ongoing exhibition. There was also some sort of party in the evening that went into the night. I was under the impression, the guest lodge of the gallery was seprate from the gallery. I had no idea it was in the same place. In the morning, when I was to leave, the entire place still dirty at 8am, obviously because they had to clean up from the night before. The sme person cleaning, stopped midway to put together the breakfast, which was a lil offputting. I was very disappointed with this property, and felt betrayed by the reviews. I had to leave the very next day.

Very artsy hotel with nice gardens and food.

Very artsy hotel with lovely gardens. Nice place to kick back and relax. We did switch to a larger room which was much nicer than the lowest priced room. Meals were excellent. It's possible to walk to the light house from here.

The neighborhood is a bit rough but it's easy to get a taxi to the beach restaurants if you speak french....if not, the staff will help you.

This is a beautiful oasis in a hectic big city.

Loman Art is a gem in the craziness of Dakar. It's located in a community of homes and businesses and close to the ocean. It's very safe in the walls of the complex with lovely gardens and patios. You can enjoy the amazing artwork in the gallery and meet Henry and Henrietta the tortoises that wander around. There us also an amazingly creative roof top seating area. The breakfast was excellent as well as the other meals and a delicious Mediterranean brunch on Sunday. We asked to upgrade to the family room which is much more spacious. This is also in walking distance to the famous light house.

Oasis

A true oasis in the city hustle! Beautiful art everywhere! Best mosquito netting ever around the bed. And last but certainly not least: Loman, our lovely host (English speaking), such a caring person; she's a gem!

Not very close to 'le plateau', but quite doable by taxi (CFA 3.000)

Memorable Experience!

The Art, the people, the food, the environment. It was truly memorable. Every corner of the space had a different exciting feel. Couldn't stop taking pictures.

Not sure I had any dislikes.... matter of fact, NONE AT ALL!

Would stay again

The staff were very accommodating and very helpful. The place is very comfortable and beautiful.

The location is pretty central although we struggled with explaining it to taxi drivers.

The art and the outstanding hospitality of this hotel makes it is an exellent choice!

The owner was very hospitable, in some cases going above and beyond. The breakfast was basic but good, the inclusion of locally produced juices was great. The displayed works of art were exceptional and truly added a different dimension to the overal atmospere of the hotel and made this one of our more memorable stays at any property we have visted.

The airo in our particular room struggled a bit to cool the entire space however the ceiling fan did make up quite a bit of the difference. The shower in our particular bathroom could be a bit bigger and the water could have been a bit warmer but the tempertaure was good enough for a comfortable shower.

Wonderful stay in an amazing environment

Very beautiful place, amazingly decorated creating an atmosphere conducive to travel, dream and meditation. Making the stay more fairy. Owner and staff were so friendly and available anytime

The location during the rainy season makes it difficult to find a taxi willing to pick/drop you. I couldn't pay with my VISA card and had to retrieve cash in some ATMs paying excessive fees each time. Some noise during the building's refurbishment but that's the price to pay for such an amazing place

I would definitely stay there again.

Lovely, clean property with a very friendly and helpful staff. The food from the dinner nights (Thursday - Sunday) and brunch was excellent. pricey but excellent. highly recommend. Showers were HOT! The pool is nice but I didn’t go for a swim.

There are a lot of mosquitoes and flies. There are mosquito nets in the room but they love me so they still got me. The flies could be tempered in the dining areas with fans, I believe.

Absolutely amazing location, beautiful room and welcoming atmosphere. I enjoyed having breakfast outside in the charming garden and admiring all of the fantastic art pieces. Everything is clean and well organized. Staying here was a highlight of my trip.Highly recommended!
