Having read about the construction going on, our expectations were low, but our room with balcony overlooking a fairway with mountains in the background was wonderful. The staff were welcoming and helpful. A mishap with our first room was quickly and professionally resolved.

Can't wait to go back !

What an amazing place to stay for a golfing outing/vacation. Absolutely no need to leave the property! The staff is very nice and accommodating. I was happy to see they kept so much of the original Inn, in the remodeling of the facility. It makes you feel like you are part of the history of this place. Kudos to keeping the heritage in lieu of making everything look like every other new hotel.

They have only been open for a month - so they are working out the kinks. Having that said - there was no house keeping to remove/replace towels or to take out the trash. When you have food and or drinks in your room - it can get a little messy fast. I am sure they are working on it - until then, just be aware of it (as it was disclosed to us at check-in) Perhaps ask for an extra trash bag at check in - and then go and enjoy a round (or 2) of golf! You will not be disappointed.

After getting a 3rd room 1st was not cleaned, 2nd broken blinds could not close, 3rd shower backed up and dirty whoever cleans does not do their job at all

We were there for the WCU homecoming weekend. we were only in the room to sleep

it was a very nice, large room. best feature was the porch.

The property was tunder massive remodeling construction. Only complaint about the room was the bath/shower. it had a lot of mold in the grout. The tile needs to be replaced. That should have been done when the rooms were remodeled.

Well placed with my stay. Will definitely be back.

Rooms were immaculate and beds were very comfortable. Everything was spotless and the room smell very nice. Really like the large walk in closet and the Kitchenette area. It was equipped with a sink and counter area plus a mirror behind it so someone extra could do their makeup. Tv was nice. Very big and clear. Behind our room was 3/4 the way finished but if you moved to the left of the porch and looked right the view of golf course was nice. Complimentary breakfast was minimum right now due to construction but was good. Plenty of parking everywhere.

I have no complaints.

Pleasant and comfortable with a lovely view of the mountains

Breakfast was ho-hum but it was free. Room was newly renovated and therefore very clean. Room was priced reasonably even though the property was going thru a reconstruction phase. As a single traveler, I felt very safe.

I wish I had known beforehand that there was a keurig in the room so I would have taken my choice in coffee. I took ground coffee which was useless. I have had a keurig for years but found that one hard to operate.

Did not stay site under Construction

Online it shows the lodge totally intact when I arrived it was covered with and surround it with a construction site it was totally closed down and there was an offsite not in the Lodge room available this was very misleading and Upsetting I was going there to celebrate my husband’s birthday and we had to drive back to Raleigh because it was not acceptable it was not what was advertised it was misrepresentation on your website

The AC didn’t work, when we tried to call the in room phone didn’t work. The workers outside woke us up early in the morning, breakfast was so far away I would have had to get in my truck and drive over.

Wonderful view and very quiet. I recommend this property.

Part of the property was under heavy construction. However, we’re put in 1 of the 2 buildings that had already been remodeled. The renovations were done beautifully. Very updated and comfortable.

Instead of a full breakfast, we had to go to the registration office to get continental type food.

The staff were all very friendly and the room had potential

first of all, the gold course is shut down to major renovations and constructions going on. the main pool house area is also shut down because of this construction. you go expecting beautiful views and you see construction and mud. secondly, when we got there we were put in a room with the air at 75 degrees. the temp continued to climb. maintenance came out and could not fix it. at first they stated they did not have another room and then worked something out. we are hot natured people so we like it to be around 65-68 degrees. the next room would not cool below 72 degrees. and if you showered or was drying your hair or even opened the door to go outside the air would go up and you would start to sweat. just over all was not worth the money we paid.

Friendly staff. Comfy room and beautiful views!

I’ve been staying here for years. Even With the renovations and remodeling they are doing our stay was wonderful. The staff is always helpful and so sweet.

I have no complaints.

It was a nice stay and a beautiful view of the mountains.

We went off to eat. There was a lot of construction going on so it wasn’t as nice as I had planned on it being but I guess that was my fault for not reading all the online information.

That the clubhouse wasn’t open. No where to work out.
