About this apartment rental

Off the beaten track but close enough to one of Funchal's most prestigious tourist areas to easily access its shops, restaurants and beaches, this detached villa has amazing views. In an elevated position, it looks across some of the area's famous sweeping slopes, down to Praia Formosa and across the glittering ocean. Sleek and modern, the home sits inside a private walled garden and has been cleverly designed to include underground parking. Inside, it's comfortable and stylish, with contemporary furnishings, white walls, wood floors and a subtle hint towards a nautical theme. The living space is bright and sociable, with big doors opening out into the garden, and there's a fully kitted-out kitchen so cooking at home will be a breeze. Upstairs, good size bedrooms benefit from even more impressive views thanks to their floor-to-ceiling windows and there's a balcony for the lucky guests in the master bedroom. Outside you'll find lawned areas, a dining terrace (the perfect spot for a barbecue) and plenty of sun loungers. Here you'll be just a few minutes' drive from the nearest beaches and Funchal city centre is ten minutes by car. Home truths: *If you're staying longer than a week the home will be cleaned and linens replaced on a weekly basis *There's a bus stop close to the home but you may prefer to hire a car to get around – there's an underground garage here *There's no pool here but we think the views more than make up for it, plus Piornais and Formosa Beach are just a four-minute drive away
