About this apartment rental

Only minutes away from the Sé Cathedral and winding streets of Alfama, this home impressed us with its impeccable decor and Scandi style. The industrial lamps and a few colourful abstract artworks give it modern vibrancy, while the period features (high ceilings, shuttered windows and Juliet balconies) add character. On a quiet street of similar historic properties, it's been smartly modernized for a comfortable stay in central Lisbon. Bright and spacious, the living room has a cosy sofa, a large dining table and French doors to let the outdoors in. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking at home and the bedrooms are cool and relaxing – one has a Murphy bed so it can be used for storage or as an office instead of a bedroom if that suits you better. Here you'll be within the grid of streets north of the famous Praça do Comércio, beneath the São Jorge Castle on the hill – just a fifteen-minute walk away. Home truths: * This home only has the ancient form of air conditioning – thick medieval walls * There is no elevator to this first floor home – those with heavy suitcases beware *The single beds in the master bedroom are pushed together
