Beautiful peaceful garden location. Nice apartment. Victor was incredibly friendly and helpful during our stay.

Having to walk on main road to get to Jarabacoa- mosquitoes were bad but these cannot be prevented by the hotel!

Appartement propre et spacieux, hostel avec grande terrasse et piscine mignonne mais majoritairement ombragée.

Douche parfois capricieuse, situé en dehors de la ville de Jarabacoa (3 minutes en voiture)

Central, super clean, large cozy rooms and excellent service!

The guests were really friendly and made wonderful recommendations on where to go in Jarabacoa, also the AC was wonderfully cool, as it is summer. I highly recommend Yaguacil!

It was a little noisy as people shared by the pool. I thought it would be more quiet, but not a big deal. I would definitely return and recommend this place.

A lovely and peaceful stay at El Yaguacil

We spent 3 lovely nights at El Yaguacil. Victor was very welcoming and provided us with plenty of recommendations for visiting. The place itself is clean and furnished with the basics for a few days, especially if you do not want to go out for dinner (Netflix is also available on the TV). The hotel is very peaceful (really offer the possibility to disconnect) and well located (a few minutes drive from city center). Whether it's inside or outside, at breakfast with a cup of coffee or evening with a glass of wine, we enjoyed very much this place!

The bathroom could benefit from a small makeover (e.g. the shower wasn't draining properly)

If you are looking for a peaceful place to stay or explore, this is your place. The host was very helpful and gives you great guidance for things to do around the hotel.

It's is useful to have a car to move around. Taxis are not my thing. I prefer Uber and there is very little Uber service around

The host was very nice and was willing to help us with what we wanted for the trip. It's also located a short walk from town, we walked in and out of town every day for meals and activities. There has been lots of effort and time put into the garden and it's a very peaceful place to be. It's kept very clean and is lovely.

Whilst we stayed, some of the other guests were quite loud until very late in the night - unfortunately this did keep us up.

I would stay somewhere away from the town next time

big place with a massive, gorgeous pool and garden area.

Stunning views!

Scenery was very beautiful, pool area was a plus and made our stay even better. The rooms were nice, and the hosts was very helpful with all our needs during the stay. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to DR.

We had to change flats because the first one (one bedroom) was terrible. Small, uncomfortable, dark. The second one was bigger but not much better.

One bedroom flat: bad. Two bedroom flat: damp, cold, noisy. The bathroom wasn't clean and there was hardly any hot water. Tin roof, no window panes in living room. A rip-

Disappointing overall , but has potential to be a very nice place !

Victor was very welcoming, polite and helpful. The room was spacious.

Very basic facilities, small bed, but the worse thing was the extremely loud party that Victor hosted the evening we arrived, including shouting games and kareoke just in front of our bedroom window. If we had known we would never have stayed there. But we had no warning until a few minutes before it started! Even then he said it was just a dinner party and would finish at 10:30 pm. It actually finished after midnight and we were getting up at 5am to do the Pico Duarte 3 day hike ! So we really didn’t sleep very much ! Victor explained that it only happens once a year ! Well in that case I suggest that he doesn’t rent the rooms that night, or at least issue a “sleepless night” warning 😉
