We would absolutely love to return to this beautiful and special place. It was great for hosting.

We stayed at Mas Gabriel for two weeks. We hosted two sets of friends for part of the time and we were solo as a family of four (with young children) for part of the time. First of all, the pictures do not do Mas Gabriel justice. From the moment we parked in the courtyard, we were taken by its charm. This is a very special farmhouse with top notch renovations so it is a beautiful mix of history but with modern finishes. The kitchen was great for cooking and there we had everything we needed to prepare meals. Great storage for food and plenty of dishes/glassware. At the time we stayed, they had things like sugar, flour, salt and pepper so it was helpful not to buy those items. The master suite was amazing. There was ample closet space with built-ins and the bathroom layout and shower area was beautiful and felt very special. Friends stayed in the additional secondary master suite in the North wing and that was also quite nice. Anytime we needed something, Carine was responsive and helpful. The team even helped us with a babysitter twice. The pool was great for us. It did not have stairs which was fine for us but for anyone who needed more accessibility, it should be noted. We had four year olds who could easily stand in the shallow end. Plenty of seating and umbrellas. The pool area and courtyard is very private. Also note that the home can be locked from inside and keys removed for extra peace-of-mind staying with young children. We enjoyed the outdoor dining area and took most of our meals out there. It was nice to have the tables inside as well as a few of the days we stayed in St Rémy, there were 104 F degree temperatures. But in the shade and with the lovely breeze, it was not a problem. We also enjoyed the pétanque court. It was an easy 10 minute walk into the center of St Rémy. Parking could be difficult in town so it was nice to be able to walk. We would absolutely love to return to this beautiful and special place.

Wish there was another seating area indoors as the children would takeover the living room in the mornings and that is the only place I could access internet, but I would go into the daybed area or the lower portion of the North wing. My husband worked remotely and did okay with the addition of a hot-spot and staying in a front facing bedroom for receptivity. We had understood in advance there are challenges with wifi with the thickness of walls. {There was no room above so including some further info about house here in this section that could be helpful} For those wondering on the arrangements, as this was a question for us how to plan guest sleeping: Main area has living room, kitchen/dining and a utility room (we used for shoes, luggage). Then, there are three “wings” as we called them: The middle of main house had a lower queen BR with adjacent bathroom/laundry. Up the stairs, there was a room with queen bed and ensuite bathroom. Then also upstairs the master BR with ensuite. Our family of four slept here. The right wing had a door that shut, with a lower bathroom shared between 3 BRs: daybed room at bottom of the stairs and a Queen BR and a full BR up the stairs. The North wing was really like its own apartment. It had a spiral staircase leading up to a secondary Master suite. In the lower portion, it had full dining table, kitchette and a daybed in the lower floor. Also with a door that shut off the living area.

PERFECT

I cannot say enough about this house- it exceeded our expectations and the photos don't do it justice. The owner was friendly, accessible and responsive and answered all questions in zero response time. The host team welcomed us to show us the house and take us through everything and met us on our way out. The kitchen is fully equipped and had everything you could think of - we were a party of 11 and had everything we needed and more. I will definitely go back!
