In a sea of desert camps crammed together this is quite secluded from the rest. There are in all only about 11 tents in about huge space. Most other desert camps in the area cram similar number of tents in a much smaller space. The staff is very friendly and prompt. They helped us when we lost our way a couple of times and sent someone to guide us. The dinner spread was huge with a traditional Rajasthani spread. Even though we were the only ones on one night they still conducted their cultural programme, that was really nice of them. They had switched off the lights at night for us to do some star gazing and also arranged a candle lit dinner for us, it was very sweet of them. It is a desert camp so sand, some bugs and dust are part of life , that is true for every place there.
There needs to be more signage for directions since it is around 3.5km inside from the main road. Google maps does not really point to the shortest and best route. We lost our way a couple of times but if you are with a local driver that may not be an issue. Some stretches of the road are quite bad but that’s to be expected in a remote place like this. The jeep safari was quite expensive , it is a tourist area so again expected but for what you get it’s a lot.

Everything's wonderful in Helsinki Desert Camp! Best food that we ever had in India after two weeks around Delhi, Goa, Varanasi,... Best experience in desert (only camp to be actually on the sand). Dinner was amazing, with other people and musicians! Must be a stop of your trip in India!
If you like quads go in Africa don't try It here 😂 they don't let you ride and you pay a lot. But this is not a service of the structure.

The staff at Helsinki are fantastic. Really accommodating and polite. We had a really fun time with the desert activities and just walking around the dunes. This is a more private location so you really feel alone. Incredibly comfortable bed and great hot water.

Clean and comfortable tent. Plus point of having a heater - which helped us with the cold of desert. If you want a quite and relaxed night this is the one. Not too crowded.

The property was at a very good location I mean its literally in the desert where all the thar and camel riding is done. The tents were very good as they had all the facilities you would need to make your camping life easy and also the rooms was clean.

Arrangement at evening recreation area was not adequate although the snacks provided and cultural programs were very good but sitting arrangement along with fire arrangement and warm quilt were not adequate in view of the cold weather and the program was open air

Highly recommended! We were treated to a camel safari, sunset tea on the sand dunes, jeep safari, cultural experience and a delicious dinner. Our glamping tents were incredibly comfortable and the service was five star. Very good value. Glad we avoided the other camps and opted for the more intimate set up and all inclusive experience. You won’t be disappointed!

A stay I'll never forget.
Suryagarh is now my most favourite hotel in india. I always wanted to stay in a place/ fort kind of a place in rajasthan and boy did this deliver.
Firstly, the location and the entire hotel is just magnificent. It's beautiful beyond words and the entire environment is just serene.
From live music, to cultural events, to courtyards and food, it's a complete package for an amazing vacation.
The saff here is one of the best I've interacted with. Everyone were so welcoming, knowledgeable, and very helpful. This is a royal treatment that I cherished a lot.
The hotel is so big that even when it's full, it doesn't feel crowded. It's far from the city in the desert that brings out a different vibe. I will highly recommend this to anyone who wants to visit. It's epicly beautiful.

Everything about this camp was amazing. The host and the staff everyone was friendly, it was a family like feel. Food was good. They are having many options in activities too. Apart from this the room was clean, well maintained. I had followed other reviews and booked the property for stay and I found it to be true. Hospitality is the plus point of this property.
