Waiting to come back to this beautiful hotel on our next trip to Kyoto.

Excellent hotel and service We loved our comfy big room, the breakfast and the relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was serving only and was so tasty and elegant.

Highly recommend

Loved it all, the staff, rooms that were perfectly clean to afternoon complimentary drinks. Would recommend but it is a short bus ride to city which is absolutely no problem as bus is across road and come frequently.

Fond memories of the staff, room, and location.

Fantastic staff! Top tier service. Beautifully decorated hotel with a calm and relaxing feel. Its location on the east side of Kyoto makes it perfect for walking to temples and shrines.

I don't eat eggs or wheat, which made breakfast less interesting.

Gracious Elegance in Kyoto

Amazingly helpful staff that made reservations at great restaurants. Beautiful breakfast restaurant overlooking a lovely garden. Great food. Lovely Japanese touches to the architecture and rooms. Perfect location for exploring Kyoto's sights.

Amazing service, and beautiful hotel

The staff were so welcoming and extremely helpful with any request we had, from recommending and booking resturants for us to arranging taxi's. Would definetly stay again in the future and have already recommended it to my other friends.

A little far from major sites so you need to take cabs everywhere .however really nice rooms and staff helpful

Fantastic staff and lovely rooms . My only issue was the AC was not cooling properly. They tried to reduce the temperature but something was definitely wrong with the thermostat.

A blissful getaway .

The garden , the flower arrangements in the whole property are very tasteful! Tatsuya Shinkawa and his team were very attentive to guests . The place is spick and span . Not too far from the city and near most major museums as well. I like that is quiet . A wonderful place to return from a tiring day of sightseeing . PS : the mattress is firm which for me is excellent .

Five star service and facility in every way. Four seasons experience at a fraction of the cost.

beautiful facility. fabulous restrained contemporary Japanese architecture. gorgeous baths and stunning rooms. wonderful bedding. only issue is comforters are very warm so you need to turn down the thermostat at night! Yhe staff are simply incredible. beyond helpful and attentive!

Exceptional!

Love the specious beautiful room interior and super friendly and kind staffs. The hotel is nicely design with elegant charm of Kyoto in a very peaceful area of the city.

A bit far away (by walk) from the main tourist attractions but it’s manageable. The rest are just perfect.

service was good and minimal English communication

the location was far off from everywhere! no Japanese dishes on menu and all French cuisine set menu. difficult to get taxi and hotel is not at any convenience nor by walking to anywhere
