Wonderful, spacious apartment in the middle of everything!

Very spacious, clean and comfortable apartment in the centre of beautiful Paleochora. It has 3 balconies, one of which is huge; with fabulous sea and Mountain Views! Everything you could need for a wonderful stay! (Even giant pegs to hold your beach towels to the sunbeds on the beach! The owner, Niki, is a wonderful, helpful lady. I would highly recommend this apartment.

Great apartment in a beautiful part of the world

Niki's apartment was in an excellent location at the top of the town. We could walk 5 or 10 minutes and reach the start of either of the beaches in Paleochora. It was also great for the seafront restaurants. It was set far enough away from the busy main street that it was quiet and peaceful at night, and noise never troubled us. Both bedrooms and the main room had air conditioning, so it was comfortable to sleep. The apartment itself also had 2 balconies, and was set high up enough that you could usually find a night breeze or a shady spot in the morning to enjoy the outside air before it became too hot. We were also pleasantly surprised to find that the apartment was serviced once a day by a very nice local woman. I either missed it in the description, or it just wasn't mentioned. The town had a well-stocked mini supermarket and a fruit and veg shop with excellent produce, so it was perfect for self-catering. There was also a very good bakery and ice-cream shop at the start of the seafront, near where the ferry comes in.

We found the wifi very spotty and unreliable. This seemed to be an issue with the connection to the Internet, since we could connect to the router but no further. The owner tried to troubleshoot the connection issues, but we ended up using our personal data allowance the few times we needed it.

Feeling let down on this occasion but we stayed at Nikkis apartments two months ago with no problems

Nikkis apartments are in a great location. They are larger than most and can be fantastic in spring and autumn.

Disappointing this time ... with three air conditioning units that do not work ... that is all of them! On arrival one worked ... but not for long. No response from owners. Very cold in evenings and overnight... January. We were not comfortable without heating. Kettle failed half way through with no replacement ... the one from the empty apartment below would have been fine!

Nice and pittoresk

Area, energy, feeling i great.

The heating, we were there in december and the ac were broken in our room, but the hosts were wonderful and gave us a small heating fan.

Exceptional

Perfect location, clean and nice. AC in every room. Big area for dinner with family. Friendly staff. We’re very pleased and we recommend this place!

We missed some thing in the kitchen, it could be better. The washing machine is a little old an tricky to open. Even if the cleaning was perfect it would be nice with a broom for guests to use when needed.

Beautiful, clean, perfectly located apartment with helpful hosts!

The location is fabulous - right in the centre of the small town, cafes and restaurants in abundance just 2 mins walk away. Upstairs flat has huge terrace with sea view, lovely for sitting out. Air conditioning (an absolute must in summer) was effective and reliable. Exceptionally clean, sheets changed too as added bonus we weren't expecting! We appreciated the immediate attention given to us when we reported something needed doing...Niki's husband was round in a flash to sort it out...brilliant!. NB Note that all bedding and towels (not beach) are included - something we couldn't see mentioned as included but they are :-)

Only slight downside was the sofa bed we were expecting in the lounge was actually a sofa that could be used as a bed in that it had a mattress on it..but it didn't unfold in the way we expected of a 'sofa bed' and so my son was confined by the solid arms on either end...it was too short for him and too hard (the other mattresses all had toppers on them) - we ended up putting the mattress on the floor in the girls' room so the sleeping experience was not great for him. But Niki has done everything to provide a thorough experience, and although the kitchen is well provided with toaster, coffee percolator, big fridge, it could do with some more basics - eg enough knives for all, more bowls/plates - when there is a larger number of people staying (we were 5). Hope this is helpful for future travellers and Niki...thank you :-)
