Amazing peaceful house!

Betta’s house is amazing house to stay in Sri Lanka! The decorations and the garden are beautiful, the room is very comfortable, clean and quiet. Dogs are so nice, and Betta is an amazing host! I felt like at home. I came back fews time because I really enjoyed this place. Highly recommended!

Il posto piu' bello dove siamo stati

Cioè, questi cani sono pazzeschi, sono pure 5, devi amare i cani per stare qui, e' l'attrazione principale, sono super amichevoli e giocherelloni. Bar e ristoranti a go-go ad vicinissimi, si puo' andare a piedi. La spiaggia è a due passi, meno di 1 km. L'arredamento è una figata, stile bohémien, la proprietaria, anche lei Italiana super carina e accogliente sopratutto discreta. La camera? Bella e pulita, letto enorme e comodo. Il giardino è il top per rilassarsi, ci siamo anche piazzati sul divano fuori. Pensavamo di farci solo una notte, ma il rapporto qualita' prezzo e' troppo conveniente, questa e' il primo alloggio bello e pulito da quando siam venuti in Sri Lanka , così abbiamo esteso per tutta una settimana. Che dire, ci siamo trovati proprio bene! lo consiglio a tutti gli amanti degli animali e del buon gusto, se siete una coppia e volete spendere poco e stare nella tranquillita' della vostra privacy.

Dog lovers heaven

Our stay was truly enchanting, thanks to the delightful presence of five friendly and playful dogs. The morning walks with the owner and the dogs into the woods at sunrise were a highlight, creating magical moments. The close proximity to the beach, along with a charming restaurant and café nearby, added to the overall enjoyment. The spacious garden provided a lovely retreat, and the generously sized bed enhanced the comfort of our stay. The interior design exuded warmth and charm, creating a cozy atmosphere throughout. The room was meticulously clean, offering a comfortable sanctuary after our daily adventures. We appreciated the option of air conditioning and the choice to include breakfast at an extra cost. Yet, what truly made our stay special was spending time with these wonderful doggies. We'll fondly remember the morning walks and the joy they brought to our time at the accommodation.

Beautiful and nice place

The place is beautiful, huge room and bed is also really big and comfortable, with a lot of pillows. Betta, the owner, was really kind. The location is great, is like 20 mins walk to the beach, and the area is really nice and quiet. Some nice tips from the owner also to move around.

The bedroom had some mould, not sure if this is normal in Sri Lanka, I know it rained a lot just before I arrived. The bathroom was separated from the room and I didn't want to shower there as there were so many mosquitoes inside. A bit overpriced, but maybe because I am a solo traveller.

We loved it!!!

Loved everything about this place, cosy vibes, attention to detail, and a chill atmosphere. Cleanest spot I've hit up in Sri Lanka. Big shoutout to the dog crew,got their own personalities and they're sweet as. If you're crashing here, gotta dig dogs 'cause they're treated like fam, in and out, with occasional barks during the day, but they crash elsewhere at night. Shower's top notch, especially the outdoor setup. The chill outdoor area is prime for hanging or grubbing. It's like a tight knit fam vibe, guests are cool. Got kitchen access, but I'd splurge on the owner's bomb vegan pancakes for brekkie, extra cost but worth it! Perfect spot location-wise, close to all the good spots in Ahangama and a hop away from the beach. Highly recommend!

Price vs quality is very good. It’s comfortable and has all you need. The owner is lovely and the place looks very nice

The owner has 5 dogs. We love dogs, but if you’re less into dogs or need a rest, this might not be the place for you

A cozy place full of cute furry friends!

I loved this place, so cosy and I loved the dogs, 5 of them, so friendly and cuddly, I loved the big garden and the outside area, the rooms are super clean and very cute, shower is really good. The decoration is amazing and the host is lovely, we even went out for dinner the last night. You can use the kitchen for very cheap rate and enjoy a shower outside. The location is perfect, close to all cool places.

Best stay in the south, we didn't want to leave!

I loved the atmosfere, i felt at home! i absolutely loved this place, the interior design and the location was perfect. Close to the sea and to all restaurants and bars. The owner is really nice and made us comfortable straightway. The house is cosy they have a little area outside where you can eat and chill out. The breakfast is amazing pancake, french toast, fresh fruit with curd etc beds are comfortable and the rooms are very clean. You can use the kitchen too if you pay a small fee, . We loved it!!

we wanted to stay more, wish we didn't have to leave!

A unique,sophisticated, classy, bohemian place you never seen before!!

Breakfast was amazing, very nice fresh local fruit with delicious curd and honey, all made with a very cute presentation flower and all, toasts, jam, butter, bans and egg of choice. The house is so welcoming, the decoration is wonderful, I am into art and creativity so I loved everything about it. It also has that sophisticated but colourful bohemian touch, a mix of mediterranean and Indian look. All is inspired by nature and the ones of the most popular female artists in history. The attention to details is also something we were stroke about it. The owner, Betta was very accommodating although she had to finish the last few jobs in the house, she never stopped asking us what we needed and made a huge effort to make us feel comfortable. Anything that was missing and we asked was done in a swift! The rooms were very cleaned and the smell when ee checked in was so pleasant. The bed is super comfy also is a king-size which we don't have in our house so that was a treat. The little garden café is so nice, we been eating nice pasta made by Betta and have to say she add her Italian touch to it. The menu is on the process so we were asking what to eat and they were cooking it. The area, which is only 850 mt from the sea, is very good, it is away from main road, so very quiet and the .neighbourhood is very nice, there are a few shops around too. Lots of restaurants and bars literally 5 min away. The old man working there is so polite and has perfect English he was a real gentleman, very polite and continously asking us what we wanted, very cute!!! We gave him a nice tip at the end. Well what to say we did not want the hotel dimension and we did not want the villa where you have to do the cooking and all this was perfect a little guesthouse/home with a warm, cozy and welcoming feel. Highly recommended.
