Lovely chalet in grounds, near to Bergerac with fantastic hosts.

From the very start the hosts were so helpful. The property sits behind electric gates that open with a code they give you. Large garden with an area left wild for butterflies and insects etc, but away from the house in case that’s not your thing. The room was very spacious, bathroom too, with a modern shower. Everything was very clean, water and wine were left out for us and and there was coffee and tea facilities Breakfast was huge, and varied. I borrowed the bikes provided and a short cycle to a gorgeous park ( photos are of that ) with swimming lake, very nearby, and then into Bergerac itself with its old town and loads of restaurants and bars. There is an indoor pool too with towels provided, which I enjoyed, loved my stay there and was sorry to leave.

Nothing, (just remember that there is a spiral staircase to the two bedrooms on first floor, so if you can’t do stairs make sure to ask for the downstairs room. ) I’m fine with stairs so that wasn’t a problem at all from my perspective.

A peaceful retreat with wonderful hosts

Location was great for a peaceful getaway. Close enough to Bergerac centre to cycle in, or a very short drive. Sandra and Carsten were very attentive when needed and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible, also recommending places to visit and restaurants/shops. The breakfasts were plentiful with lots of choices on offer. Our room had a small outside space to unwind with a glass or two from the bottle of wine to welcome us after a day exploring Bergerac. The indoor pool was a lovely treat with towels provided. We very much appreciated the tranquility of the place and the caring hospitality of our hosts.

A really lovely place to stay.

This has to be one of the most welcoming and accommodating places I have ever stayed. The German owners, Sandra and Karsten, cannot do enough to make your stay enjoyable. The standard room upstairs has a lovely view, bathroom, air con, and a firm but comfy mattress. The breakfast was delicious with many choices. See attached photos. The indoor pool is done beautifully with patio doors overlooking the garden, and as there are only three rooms it is quiet. They gave excellent recommendations for the two nights I ate locally, and booked them for me. Lastly, I am travelling through France and Spain on my motorbike. I was able to store the bike in their shed, and Karsten was keen to help with my route down to Carcassonne and through the Pyrenees. I cannot recommend Maisonette Aubergerec enough, and will definitely stay again… with my wife next time.

Superb, ausgezeichnet, formidable!

Everything was perfect, from when we booked, to when we departed. The couple are charming. Once I’d booked, the host lady contacted me to let me know that we would be staying over 14th July and asked if she could book us a table for dinner. We said yes and we were not disappointed. Actually she got us table reservations for both nights of our stay. Both restaurants were lovely. We said we wanted to do some wine tasting during our stay and both gave us really good recommendations. Breakfast was something else too. So ample, with fresh produce made by the couple, it was truly delicious. We would heartily recommend this property. Go on stay, you will be truly glad, you did.

We had an extremely nice stay at Maison Aubergerac!

Breakfast was absolutely delicious (local cheeses, meats, pates, breads, fruit, eggs etc), the location was lovely - a sense of tranquility in the countryside but able to borrow bikes to cycle the 10 minutes into town. The pool was a welcome addition to cool off after a day of cycling around vineyards! Sandra and Carston were such good hosts - kind, attentive, helpful and with brilliant recommendations. They made us feel so at ease and we had a really wonderful relaxing time. Thank you so much for having us - we will definitely be back!

Hidden Gem in the Dordogne

Fabulous airy annex apartment within a stunning rural setting. Beautiful, tranquil extensive garden which was perfect after a long drive & explored thoroughly by our dog. Our hosts were amazing & nothing was too much trouble. Located within a lovely strolling distance from the centre of Bergerac. The breakfast at Maison Aubergerac is exceptional. Served on the patio area and all local produce. Cheese, meat, pate, fruits, breads & preserves - an absolute feast of delight. Definitely a 10/10 experience. Superb 👍

Sandra and Karsten gave us a warm welcome, were helpful with advice on things to do and prepared the most wonderful breakfasts. Their attention to detail means that you feel really well looked after. Such a treat to stay here. Go to Bergerac and go to Aubergerac!

Sandra and Carston were incredible hosts. So welcoming and on hand to answer any questions. We loved the bikes and found them an easy way to get to the town/restaurants/supermarket/lake. Breakfast was amazing and they catered to my vegan dietary requirements, which was lovely. 100% recommend visiting Pommebon Lake - the perfect spot for a sunny afternoon.

Great couple owning/running the hotel, really helpful and enthusiastic. Breakfast was very high quality. Bikes on site available for use together with a small pool. Quiet residential location, about 20 minutes walk from central Bergerac where great local restaurant food is available at different price points. the owners ran us to the train station the day we went to Bordeaux which was really helpful.

We were held up with roadworks, accidents etc. arrived late but our hosts were more than supportive. Sandra and Carston were extremely helpful, thoughtful, and made our stay welcoming. Wishing we were there for more days. Fabulous accommodation, hosts and surroundings.

Very difficult to locate property, even with satnav. Walk to town centre not enjoyable. Host got very annoyed with us for staying up until just after midnight despite saying there were no guests in bedroom next door. Dog running loose in garden made my wife uncomfortable

Beautiful, relaxing Maison Aubergerac highly recommended!

This very comfortable Maison is situated an easy walk from town. The room is spacious and has everything you need. Complimentary welcome beers and bottle of wine make you feel valued and instantly at home. We were treated to an outstanding champagne breakfast for my birthday. The food was excellent and the surroundings beautiful. The host and hostess were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Sandra took us to the train station after breakfast and helped us buy our tickets and ensured that we were on the train to Bordeaux. We are so appreciative of this excellent hostess and highly recommend this relaxing Maison Aubergerac for a wonderful stay.

An excellent break and a good introduction to the Dordogne.

The peaceful location was close to the town centre and the countryside plus, Bordeaux was not far away. The house was beautiful, with a large garden and chic internal designer fitments. We were served fabulous regional foods and given excellent guidance on where to eat in Bergerac . Their knowledge of the Dordogne was extensive and reliable. The indoor pool was the best I have ever experienced. The hosts were generous, kind and extremely helpful. Their language skills were second to none. No request was too much trouble. We will be revisiting soon and telling all of our friends to do the same.
