Inside, while the original oak beams and picture-perfect windows remain, the rest of the home has been gloriously reimagined for seamless, modern living – and it hides a few surprises too. Fold back the patio doors off the made-for-action kitchen and dining space to reveal a private rooftop terrace – the place for alfresco evening meals or a spot of stargazing around the fire pit as dusk turns to night. Back inside, spread out over two floors, there's ample space to all spill out and make yourself at home. We love how light and serene this home feels, particularly in the bedrooms with muted tones and crisp, white linens to sink into after days of adventure. Peer out through the windows to reveal vignettes of charming village life unfold below. And when the bustle finally draws you in, there are cosy pubs, tea rooms, and quaint boutiques right on your doorstep and beyond amidst its winding, cobbled streets. Make your first port of call to the country's oldest pub, The Porch House – just three minutes from your door.
