The surrounding neighbourhood is a vibrant melting-pot of old and new, with plenty of restaurants and coffee shops to try out. You're within a fifteen-minute walk of Place de la République, and the Palais Garnier opera house is around twenty minutes away. And, if you want to travel further afield, then just hop on the métro at Bonne Nouvelle.
