Memorable stay for all the right reasons

Such amazing hosts and an absolutely beautiful, comfortable and clean property. It was really nice getting to know Senthil, Ashwathi and their family. Exceptional cooking and delicious absolutely delicious meals, we were even treated to a traditional Kerala feast! Their helpful advice and trip booking was really appreciated. Would highly recommend.

The whole family is incredibly kind and helped me with everything through my travels, incl. booking tickets, planning my future trips & sightseeing, sharing experiences + much more. The food was excellent and I highly recommend getting the large lunch served.

Love it and would def stay again. Great for families!

Lovely and welcoming, room comfortable. Felt so at home. Breakfast was yummy. Ashwathy and Senthil are very good hosts👌

The homestay is not walkable distance from some of the main attractions, but very easy to get around by rickshaw (that hosts can help book) and Uber

Michelin star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ of Homestay Awesome Stay with super delicious Homely food. Aswathy excellent cook, really a Super Host❤️❤️, Oyster Marris is foodies Paradise, Homely food with reasonable price .I stayed with my family.Super clean Rooms, Bathrooms and whole home superbly maintained. Everywhere greenery indoor and outdoor plants .They provided food as per our diet . I tried Cooking class with Aswathy too, that's a wonderful experience. She is an excellent cook as well as a cooking trainer too,skills no words to say.. Very clean Bath Towels and Sheets, all are white.They arranged a car for local sight seeing and helped for local purchase and Poovar Boating .Her husband excellent guide also. Nice Balcony garden and Green friendly Dining.one of the best homestay i have stayed . Highly recommended.Good place for family

Fantastic experience!

Oyster Marris Homestay is a gem — I’m so glad to have found this place! It’s run by the warmest, kindest family you’ll ever meet. Aswathy was a journalist and experienced how hard it was to travel safely and comfortably as a solo female traveler, so she opened a Homestay especially geared toward women — solo, with friends like us, mothers with children. Her cooking is amazing — sign up for every possible meal! The vegetarian sadhya banquet was especially wow. Senthil was fantastic at suggesting fun outings, arranging tuk tuks, boats, train tickets, Ayurvedic massage appointments — he was a logistics wizard and made our visit so easy and fun. The rooms are spotlessly clean and super comfortable, with AC, great bathrooms, a lovely plant-filled dining room for meals, a terrace with more lovely plants. This is a wonderful, wonderful place — I can’t recommend it highly enough!

Excellent Property to Stay for a Solo Women traveller., Very calm and quiet Home stay. Service excellent, Host arranged pick up for me from the Airport and safely reached home .Very Clean Rooms, Bathrooms and entire Home full of greenery and eco friendly, they are maintaining plants very well, I did yoga in Open terraces, nice point for yoga etc especially in morning,lots of birds voice and smells of flowers, totally Positive vibes❤️❤️Nice Location, 15 mnts drive from Airport and 15 mnts for Kovalam Beach.Breakfast and dinner nothing to say about, Host Aswathy excellent Chef , they provided Homely organic food with normal rate .. Completely family friendly home.We can use their kitchen also if required, i didn't use it .no need for that because they provided me every thing I required.I felt I was staying with my family...Superb Positive vibes everywhere, nice atmosphere .one of the best homestay i ever stayed . Highly recommend

A piece of "nirvana " We are 3 ladies from around the world meeting in Kerala for the first time. And what a precious find this was. A lovely family, with a comfortable, clean and pleasant home, and the home-cooked food was just heavenly!!! Thank you for this special introduction to God's own land.

Location out of the way, but that provided for a peaceful night surrounded by nature..

I am very happy to stay here... First time I stayed in a homestay.. The stay is unforgettable... host Ms Aswathy and Senthil are very lovely and helpful persons... Entire house maintained well with lots of plants.. we will get a positive vibe from there... Food is very tasty.. highly recommended..

Exceptional homestay in Trivandrum - highly recommended!

Beautiful newly-built house with a dedicated 2-bedroom apartment on the upper floor where we stayed as a family of four. The hosts live on the ground floor and are a very kind couple with their son and his grandmother. They were a pleasure to chat with and eager to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Food is delicious and authentic local cuisine, which makes your stay a wonderful culinary experience! The location is in a relatively secluded area on the edge of the city, surrounded by greenery and far from traffic noise.

Nothing really to complain about - highly recommend this place! One thing to keep in mind is that this is a homestay, so hosts will be in and out of your living space at mealtimes. But privacy was no issue otherwise. Minor issues with the location are that the access road is crooked and pretty steep (though taxis/autos seem to manage fine), and about once an hour you hear a plane overhead that approaches the nearby airport.

A home away from your home...

I booked this homestay for one day. But I extended my stay to couple of days for my wok. I stayed here with my daughter. It is difficult to stay somewhere during Ramadan month. But my host Aswathy & her family arranged everything for me to do prayer and cooked some special Malabar dishes for “Nombu thura”. It was an unforgettable days with that awesome family. They also served hot food for me in early morning. You couldn’t find any hotels or homestays that serving food in guest’s diet and their timing. Every hotel and homestay will close their kitchen in 9.30 PM and opens it in the morning 7 or 8 AM. But Aswathy’s kitchen will open 24hrs. Their Service is superb. I stayed there like my own home. House is pretty clean and beautifully done. The greenery in and around the house will give you a positive energy. The hosts are also positive and energetic persons. I will surely enjoy the stay.

Best Choice in Trivandrum

It was an excellent stay.. our family visited Trivandrum to visit Sree Padmanabha swamy Temple and Kovalam. Host arranged cab and the driver was very cooperative and friendly nature. Its very rare to see such drivers in Trivandrum. we tried homely veg & non veg breakfast and dinner. Truly telling that nothing to say about the food. That was awesome and mouthwatering. Super clean home. Spotless bathroom and room. It is a family & women friendly homestay. Its a very calm and quiet property. If you like to stay in calm and quiet atmosphere its a best choice. Host service are speechless. They arranged everything for us. Homestay is located in a cliff so we can enjoy the sea breeze. We enjoyed the wide view of sea and beautiful sunset from the balcony. When we will be in Trivandrum Oyster Marris is the only one choice for us.

Best Homestay I stayed in Trivandrum

Excellent place to stay... I came Trivandrum for my father's first death anniversary rituals in Parasurama Temple, Thiruvallam. Temple is 700m from the homestay. We have to reach the temple at 5.30am. So our host arranged vehicle facility and they already arranged everything in the temple and we do the rituals without any worries. They served south Indian vegetarian food for us. It was so delicious.. we liked the food and stay.. It is a super clean and very ecofriendly house.. host are very helpful. One of the best homestay in South India I have stayed. Highly recommended to all... Thanks Aswathy and family..

Its fully greenery around the home and nice sea breeze

Excellent homely breakfast. Idly & Sambar with two types of chutney and host Aswathy's special vada. No words to say. Really enjoyed it. Location is superb. If you want to stay with calm you should come here. We booked room after 10 pm and checked in here midnight. Host arranged pick up from Railway Station. They served hot homely food at 1 O'clock midnight. When we check out the room they packed food for us. House is super clean and interior is awesome. Its fully greenery around the home and nice sea breeze. Definitely We will come here again.
