About this house rental
Welcome to Cedar Creek, a luxurious and unique slope-front custom-built vacation home, with the finest Ski-in/Ski-out access on the Winterset ski trail, at the all-new Timberline Mountain resort. Comfortable for work and for play for all ages, Cedar Creek offers 7 bedrooms and 8.5 baths, and 2 additional built-in bunks adjacent to the pool table area. All linens provided from professional linen service. Dual-zone gas heat and central A/C. Electronic amenities include broadband WiFi and flat screen TV’s in living spaces and all 7 bedrooms. Both living room TV's are smart-streaming Samsung Crystal 4K UHDs, with free Samsung TV Plus channel and ability to access your Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, or other subscription streaming services. Convenient theater room TV connected to cable and equipped with DVD player, movie collection, and convenient HDMI port for use with your gaming systems. Every bedroom TV is connected to basic cable TV. There is plenty of room to spread out with 2 living room areas, each equipped with a gas fireplace, plus a theater/TV room. The spacious kitchen, bar, and dining area will make mealtime a pleasure and with 2 refrigerators and 2 dishwashers, storage and clean-up are a snap. We all had a marvelous time. The house is spacious, very well equipped, and located in a beautiful spot. When we arrived, the house we originally booked was having a maintenance issue. The team quickly got us situated in this house. We loved the deck, the two enormous couches, the fact that all the bedrooms had a bathroom. I was very impressed that they were able to get us into a comparable property right away -- we had four families needing space. The location suited us perfectly for outdoor excursions -- which were nearby! We enjoyed Dolly Sods, the resort, Blackwater Falls, and a horseback riding excursion. We grilled out most nights and appreciated the equipped kitchen! West Virginia is Almost Heaven and we will definitely be back.

My family gathers in the Canaan Valley area each summer renting 2-3 homes. This home has been one of our mainstays because the number of bedrooms and a large kitchen dining area. The home is clean and updated. The deck has a picnic table as well as many chairs to allow for other seating options while eating meals. The deck is a great place to gather in the evening and enjoy the cool night air. Overall a nice place to stay if you have a large group.

It’s a great house. Perfect for 7 or 8 golfers. We have probably rented this house 8-10 times over the past 6 or 7 years. However, recent price increases have been fairly dramatic. We decided to not to rent again this coming Aug/Sept. Also, one criticism I would offer: you really need a couple of umbrellas or other shade protect on the back deck. It can get really hot and sunny out there.

Well appointed, plenty of space to chill. Every bedroom as a full bath and hot tub was spacious. Kitchen was fine, oven looks old however and no pantry (baker's rack was sufficient but was overflowing). Plenty of pots/pans and 2 dishwashers did come in handy. Great ski-in/ski-out with ski mud room and undercover patio as you come off the slopes.

We’ve rented this house at least 10 years. Perfect for large families like us. We have at least 5 families traveling from Georgia to stay at this house. It seats 20 for meals and plenty of seating in living room. There is usually a jump built behind the house for skiers to jump and is fun to watch.

We had an amazing time at this rental! Our group consisted of a wide range of ages and we all had an absolutely fantastic time! Grandparents, parents, kids young and old. Some took full advantage of simply stepping outside to ski, all of us enjoyed the hot tub, and the pool table and large sofas made everyone comfortable inside. The house was large with plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, two washer and dryers and a fully stocked kitchen. The management company was quick to respond whenever we needed anything. We will definitely look to stay here again if we are back in West Virginia!

Very well appointed. We didn't need any cooking utensils or supplies other than extra paper towels, trash bags, laundry and dish soaps.
All the bedrooms are en suite. The sofas are big enough for everyone, as is the kitchen table. 2 dishwashers, 2 laundry rooms, lots of king-sized beds. Great hot tub. 2 gas fireplaces. Extra fridge in the basement.
Very clean, really comfy beds and soft linens!
We will definitely rent this again for a big group!!

We have rented this cottage for many, many years for a huge family get-together. Our family treats this as our own, and have come to love this place!!! It is beautiful, well-kept, with everything we needed to make our trip memorable. Donna (from Best of Canaan) is a true asset to the owners of this property. She is, without a doubt, one of the kindest people I have ever encountered. We have already booked for next year, and we are already counting down the days to that visit.

I brought a group of 11 cousins to Cedar Creek for a much needed cousin reunion. The house was perfect! Clean and inviting. Each bedroom having it's own bath was a real plus!We spent our days exploring Elakala, Blackwater and Douglas Falls. Lunching at Sirianni's and Hellbenders. Shopping in Davis and Thomas and stopping at The Ice Cream Shop. Evenings were spent relaxing on the large deck.Cooking up some great meals.Playing cards and shooting pool. Sitting in the hot tub under the stars was amazing!We plan on renting this house again next year!

Our family, aged 2-78, enjoyed this property very much. All bedrooms have private bedrooms so folks could set their own schedules. Two open areas provided a choice of activities. Kitchen had everything we needed. No gas grill but two charcoal grills worked fine. The hot tub wasn’t working but one call and it was repaired quickly. The only thing we wished for was a small table for card and board games. Would love to come back in winter.

The property was ideal for our reunion, and Best of Canaan (local management company) was FANTASTIC to work with! Having a couple of bedrooms on the main levels was appreciated by older family members. The pool table and hot tub were also popular, and the kitchen and deck grilling options were great for the group.

House is beautiful and well supplied. We’ve rented this house at least 9 times. It is ski in and out. It’s not far up the mountain and we’ve never had any trouble getting to it without 4 wheel drive. Most of us are from Georgia and don’t need it here! Already booked for next year!

Stayed at Cedar Greek over New Years... location literally 10 yards from the slope was, of course, extremely convenient. 7 bedrooms with each one having their own attached bathroom - nice! The house was wicked clean... seemed like new furniture and carpeting throughout... plenty of pots / pans / cooking utensils / plates / wine glasses / etc. Very apparent that the owners take a great pride and really put the effort into this vacay home to make it comfy for renters... much appreciated! 5 stars across the board... we've been coming to Timberline off and on for 20 years and this home by far the nicest we have rented. A shout out to Best of Canaan as well... first time we used this management company and they've been the best team we have encountered :-)

Every year my family looks forward to this trip. My entire family works in Healthcare & Law Enforcement/public service; you can imagine what the past 18 months have been like for us. We look forward to this time to relax, catch up with our families, laugh, and love each other in a restful atmosphere. We take in every beautiful scenic site we can.
We had a few bumps in the road this year. Hot tub not working properly, hot water tank went out, bathroom fan upstairs did not work, and toilet upstairs ran slow. We did report all this to "L" in the office. When we questioned the fire wood, which we had received every year prior, the response was "I called the owner, he said last year was the last year. If you don't believe me, call him yourself".
The single largest disappointment was this staff member "L", who is somewhat condescending and abrupt. Really no need for anyone in our party to be handled abruptly. We take care of this property as if it were our own. We are all adults and well educated; we are paying for a service, which we expect to receive in a polite fashion. A little common courtesy goes a very, very long way.
Our family did rebook for next year. We care for a 95-year-old parent, which can be very stressful. This is the only time of the year we all can be together for an extended period of time to relax and enjoy each other. We are appreciative and respectful of Mr. and Mrs. Manzione's kindness to us throughout the years and hope to continue with this tradition for many years to come.
