The Terraces at Eagle Ridge Condo S1 by Mountain Vacation Lodging is a nicely updated condo with ski area views and a very convenient location. It is ideal for families or a few couples, with a max occupancy of 8. Amenities include a seasonal pool and hot tub, fitness center, underground parking garage, and an in-unit washer and dryer. The location is very close to everything you need, including the Gondola, Ski School, groceries, restaurants, shops, and more. The condo balcony backs directly up to burgess creek and burgess creek trail which lead to the Yampa River and Yampa River Core Trail. There's so much to like about this condo!
The Property:
With 1,500 square feet, the size is ample for a 3 bedroom unit. This unit has a great split level setup with the kitchen/living room upstairs, a bedroom on the entry level and 2 bedroom suites downstairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, it features granite counters, stainless steel appliances, and high end cabinetry. It also has a bar height counter that has barstools and is convenient for keeping your chef company as well as serving up some drinks, apps, or meals. The living room has a warm gas fireplace, large HDTV, and views of the Steamboat Ski Resort. The dining room is adjacent to the kitchen and living room. Off the dining area you will find a large covered balcony with dining for 6. This is a great place for your morning coffee or an afternoon refreshment. If you're hoping to grill, you're in luck as the owners have provided a gas grill for your convenience.
The King bedroom is on the lower level. There's an HDTV on the dresser adjacent to the bed to enjoy. The ensuite bathroom is the largest of the 3 bathrooms and has a jetted tub. The second lower level bedroom has a queen bed and is just as nice as the King bedroom. It has a walk out patio that directly overlooks Burgess Creek. The ensuite bath has a nicely tiled walk in shower. The third bedroom, on the entry level, is great in terms of versatile sleeping arrangements. It's an extra long full bed over queen bunk so can accommodate up to 4 guests or just 2 guests, if you want the beds to yourselves. The third bathroom is adjacent to this bedroom and has a tub/shower combo.
There are also some bonus spaces in the condo. When you enter, there's a place to sit down and remove your boots or shoes, plus a coat closet. Also in that entryway is a closet that is home to the private washer and dryer. Head down out of the unit and you'll find some nice amenities, including the very large fitness center and the Burgess Creek-side pool and hot tub area. Relax in the sun with the sounds of flowing water.
Location:
This condo has a location that is ideal in ski season or any other. For a ski vacation, being close to the slopes is a big plus, being close to the ski school, ticket office, and key ski lifts is also important. It would also be really nice to have groceries, restaurants, ski & snowboard rental shops, and maybe a few bars close by. This condo's location gives you very close proximity to all of that, and more. The Wild Plum has groceries, a deli and cafe, as well as liquor, wine, and beer. It is only about 100 yards away. Right across the street from that is the Village Center. Its shops and restaurants offer coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner, ski and snowboard rentals. The edge of the ski slopes, Gondola Square, ski school, and ticket office are only about 250-300 meters from the condo. It's a very easy and gentle walk, short and easy enough to make with ski boots on, carrying equipment, or walking with kids. Need to add or shed a layer of clothing during your ski day, or want to come home for lunch? You can do so when you stay here.
Guests in spring, summer and fall will love the location too. The ski area base comes alive with all the same restaurants and bars, plus there are many more activities to enjoy. Ski trails turn into grassy meadows, hiking and biking trails. Burgess Creek flows through the base area and the condo's balcony backs directly up to the Creek. The flows through the base area are at a controlled volume, so the water level is always perfect for dipping your toes. Along the creek and next to the Gondola are lots of adirondack chairs, picnic tables, and even a couple of beach areas. Kids will have a blast! The mountain coaster is open in winter and summer, but in summer, you also have lots of other fun family activities, such as mini-golf, a ropes course, tubing, and more. There are art shows, events and festivals, movie nights, free concerts, it's a great place to be! At the condo building, Burgess Creek flows at higher volumes, creating the sound of a rushing river in spring. Also right outside is the Burgess Creek trail and the Mt. Werner trail, which is a paved path that leads down to Casey's Pond, the Yampa River and the Yampa River Core Trail. From here, you could walk, jog, stroll, or fish your way right into downtown Steamboat, which is only 3 miles away.

When you arrive, you'll pull into the underground garage to unload, dry and warm, regardless of the weather. Accessing the unit is easy - no stairs required. Just enter the S building through the door in the garage. Our front door is on the ground level as you enter. One free parking space is reserved for you in the underground garage. Additional shared parking is available outside the building. Sorry, trailers are not allowed, per HOA guidelines, but if you plan to bring one, there are options for parking them nearby. We absolutely loved our stay here! There are so many windows it feels like you’re in a treehouse, and the balcony is great for morning coffees and evening meals! And the secure indoor parking that is right by the condo was such a great bonus! We would definitely return here!

Overall it was a nice property but needed maintenance. They charge a higher than average cleaning fee but the patio looked like it hadn't been cleaned for months! I cleaned the table myself and it took four paper towels with windex to get off the grime. The patio was full of dirty leaves and cobwebs and the grill was not cleaned from the last user. Inside the condo it was pretty clean although a very detailed person (me) would see the cobwebs under the counters. Also needs some maintenance, i.e. toaster didn't work, ice dispenser was broken but we managed to fix it, fan was not working in the largest bedroom. However it was a very nice property with nice creek views.

Very spacious and well appointed condo. Plenty of room for the 7 of us. It is about a 300 yard walk to the lift which wasn’t bad for adults but a little tough for younger kids. Shuttle comes about every 20-30 min. Hot tub and pool are a short walk. Would definitely come back again.

The positives: well equipped with lots of starter supplies; coffee filters, spices, shampoo, paper supplies, etc. Good wifi, tv’s, kitchen appliances. Location close to lifts and local bus. Amenities include ski locker, pool, hot tub, parking garage, grill. Communication with property management was timely and thorough.
What could be better: HOA pickup of garbage was after bins were overflowing in the garage.

Location, location, location! Not only convientently located to base of Steamboat but just a short 5 minute walk. Heated indoor parking a big plus in the winter. Especially after the fresh foot of snow. Condo was clean and up to date. And quiet. Will definately stay again.

Property has great location however multiple maintenance issues exist. Also property was not clean including blood stains, food under couch, used vape pipes under bed and dining room floor, etc…. Would not take much for owner to bring property back up if they would send in maintenance crew and perform deep clean

We came to Steamboat for the Literary Sojourn (which was awesome) and also spent some time walking, downtown-ing, and hot-springing :) The girls (young teens) enjoyed the pool and the walkways up to the ski area. Loved hearing the brook all day!
Our only hiccups were not having more than one parking space and a little bit of confusion in finding the right door out of the garage. Otherwise, our stay was wonderful!

This is a very nice property and location. There were some logistical issues around timeliness of responses. we did give our feedback to the management company and they assured us that they will work on that going forward. We also shared that it would have been lovely to have tea or coffee as a courtesy considering the price of the property and for the first morning after travelling from abroad. Overall the inside of the property was very clean, patios could have been swept. There were no pool towels, a leaky toilet and a broken ice machine (fridge).
Overall, our family enjoyed our first visit to steamboat and the stay in this beautiful property. With a few adjustments, this could be an even better experience. Thanks.

The house was clean and decor was lovely. A great size for everyone to have their own space. The unit is ground floor and right off parking garage which is great for loading and unloading. The unit felt secluded with views out to trees and the mountains you couldn’t see your neighbors. Easy walk to slopes. Kids enjoyed the hot tub. We would go back for sure!!

My husband and two children (both young adults) stayed for four nights. The condo is the perfect size. It is decorated very tastefully. The photos do very well at capturing what it looks like. We all could hang comfortable in the living and dining spaces. Each bedroom is a nice size and has its own bath. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans and other items needed to cook. We made breakfast most days and also had snacks in the afternoon. We made dinner one night as well. The condo is about a 10 minute walk to the main gondola - so very easy to get to the mountain. We did use the shuttle occasionally, and it worked well, but if you are not with small kids, the walk is faster. The hot tub is a nice size. We used it twice. I would recommend this condo if you are looking for a place to stay near the mountain in Steamboat.
