The property is very outdated. The kitchen sink was clogged the entire time, the bathroom toilet was clogged and we had to plunge it. The bathroom stunk. The water from the shower soaks the entire bathroom. All the beds were creaky. The floor is slippery because of the sand that comes in on feet. Overall just not a comfortable experience

We had a good time staying here. The location is unbeatable.
However, the floors were not clean and the beds had some debris on them when we arrived. Various things in the house were rickety and/or broken as other reviews have mentioned. The host was quick to respond, but didn’t resolve anything proactively. The kitchen needs more dishes to allow for larger groups.

The place was a perfect space for our group!
We loved the location in reference to the beach, shops, dining and grocery store.
We were visiting for a baseball tournament and this home was great! It was spacious, had most of the amenities we needed, had plenty of beds, and provided us with a safe close distance to the beach. We had an amazing time soaking up the sun, sand and ocean time!
The one recommendation I have is to have the master bedroom bed looked at.
It squeaks very badly. It was hard to sleep as every time any movement would take place, rolling over, getting in and out of the bed, it would squeak very loudly and was quite disturbing.
We plan to visit the area in the future and would love to stay in the home again!

Refrigerator didn’t work so property mgr brought two small ones. Inadequate for family Thanksgiving. We did not cook Thanksgiving here due to inadequate fridge space for groceries for Thanksgiving dinner.
Dishwasher doesn’t work.
Floors were filthy at check-in.
Lighting is inadequate in living room.
Broken bedside table lamp at check-in.
The owner needs to invest in some new appliances and brighten up the place by painting the kitchen cabinets, fireplace. Also need to stock more dishes and utensils. (Place sleeps 8 but there were 5 cereal/salad bowls, and no dinner forks)

I really like the location of this lodging. Parking is at a minimum but still easy to find other spots on another street. Close to the pier and restaurants and bike rental places. We had a problem with the garage door and the number given to us was not helpful. No help was given. We called everyday of our 3 night stay and were assured someone would help. We were not able to use the parking spot that went with the rental. The pots and pans need to be updated. Many broken and warped. The shower in the master bedroom was excellent and the beds were comfortable. The house just needs a general update and upkeep. It was ok for a short stay.

I loved the location. Growing up in the area I knew exactly what we were getting. I did not like when I asked if this was directly on the board rock like described I was told it was. It is not! It is about seven houses down from the boardwalk. But all the amenities are as described. There's nothing fancy but everything you need for the price. Again, location location location and value.

Awesome Newport Beachhouse!
We loved all the room and space for everybody to be comfortable and sleep comfortably. We loved the open kitchen to living room concept as well as the patio deck and grill area. We loved it it was only a minutes walk to the beach and we could see the water from the patio. We’ll definitely stay there again!

Newport Beach Upper Unit
This is a nice, quirky unit, with plenty of room for guests. There are 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a nice kitchen, with an open floor plan. The central sitting area is small though, and it would have been nice if the fireplace worked. The floors were not really cleaned, and we found old kleenex behind the couches, but for the most part, it really was fine. Showers are small but really nice, and heating worked great, as it was unseasonably chilly. The team was pretty responsive, but we really didn't have any issues, other than the door jam was off when we arrived, but he came right away to fix it. This unit is 1 house off Balboa, so about a 2 minute walk to the beach, with a good location for the boardwalk. Good pricing if you do not want a full oceanview
