About this cabin rental

Our newly renovated cabin is set in the Dos Lunas Artisan Cheese maturing grounds. Surrounded by organic veggies and flower gardens.

We offer top of the line comfort with our brand new queen bed and organic linen sheets. Large and soft towels and all organic bath products.

From the moment we arrived, our experience with Jaoquin and his property was nothing short of outstanding, thanks to the exceptional hospitality and attention to detail. The property itself exceeded all expectations; quiet, clean, and equipped with every amenity we needed from the peaceful surroundings to the comfortable furnishings, every corner of the space was thoughtfully curated for the ultimate guest experience. However, what truly set this rental apart was the warmth and generosity of our host, Jaoquin. From the moment we arrived, he greeted us with a genuine smile and made us feel like old friends. Jaoquin went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed throughout our stay, whether it was providing extra towels, or simply checking in to see if we needed anything, and always available to answer any questions we had. In addition to the wonderful accommodations, Jaoquin, also the maker of Dos Lunas Cheese hosted a private cheese tasting for us with samplings of his delicious cheeses. Learning the history of raw milk cheeses and the process of making and aging them was truly fascinating. Our stay at the Pleiadian cabin was nothing short of magical. The accommodation was clean and just like the pictures showed. It was close to major traffic routes and was way better than a hotel room and all we really needed for the trip! Host was very courteous!

This was a great location for access to Buda's good restaurant selection as well as the event venue that brought us to the area for the weekend. All was as expected and host provided a welcome gift featuring his own artisan cheeses. Only wish we could have taken some with us when we left, but with car parked in 90+ degree heat all day, not an option.

We LOVED the cabin! It was very clean and well styled will all the amenities youd need like dishes dishwasher washer and dryer even instant pot and blenders etc. the property is very peaceful and just what you want for a vacation! We really enjoyed our welcome gifts of Dos Lunas cheeses and some adult seltzers and wine waiting for us in kitchen after a long day of traveling.

Beautiful Casita!

My wife and I spent 5 days here. Could not of asked for a better location and host. The property was beautiful and peaceful. Only a 20 minute drive from downtown Austin made it ideal for being in Austin but not constantly dealing with the big city noise. We did the cheese tasting with Joaquin. It was so fun and delicious I recommend anyone try it. If we’re ever in Austin again we will be staying here!

We enjoyed our stay at this unique property. Unfortunately our activities kept us from enjoying the outdoor amenities (not much time)—but the beautiful garden and conversation spots made the environment delightful. Comfortable nights’ rest, roomy living spaces, and loved the spacious and bathroom. I liked the eclectic interiors—got some different things going on but it works! We felt very welcomed and thanks for the gift of artisan cheese! (Would stay again and recommend.)

Nice little get away

Nice little get away

It was a quick get away for us- part business and part disconnect from stress- and this little cabin in Manchaca had a very welcoming space inside and out. There are two other buildings/dwellings in close vicinity to the property. We arrived really late and had to leave early, so we didn’t get a chance to meet the owners but waved in passing. It’s a cool little place with lots of well thought amenities and aesthetic touches. It made us feel good about the location we were staying in. My biggest regret was not meeting the owners to tell them what a cute place they have and purchasing more cheese. They left a nice little tasting gift for us in the fridge. Oh, and we wish we had looked to see the brand of mattress. My husband hadn’t slept that well in years.

I had my parents stay here for a weekend, and we were all so impressed with the design and thoughtful touches around the converted cabin. Joaquin was friendly and so quick to help when the fridge wasn’t working at first. I’d love to visit again!

A Treasure

We can't say enough about this darling little house. Joaquin and Elisa are so welcoming and accommodating. They made us feel like family. The house is very clean and well stocked. Although it's one bedroom, it is roomier and some 2 bedroom VRBOs that we've had. It's location is perfect whether you are going to Austin or San Marcos. It's very quiet and safe. We stayed over 2 weeks and will definitely go back. We'd love to see the gardens at their peak. Thank you Joaquin and Elisa!

What a neat experience! This property is situated just far enough away from the city hustle to feel relaxed, with all of the creative attention to detail that so many of us crave when visiting the South Austin area. The unique artistry of the bathroom tile work, the bold and modern color palette, the fresh artisan cheese in the fridge… all of it was absolutely dreamy. To top it all off, we enjoyed modern luxuries like Berkey filtered water and a tankless water heater. We enjoyed our stay!

My husband and I are local to Austin and wanted a change of scenery for a few days during Valentine’s Day. This cabin in Manchaca was a great location for us: just far enough away that we felt like we were in the country, but a 5-10 min. drive from anything we needed. We found the cabin to be comfortable, spacious, and beautiful! We did a lot of cooking and enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen, which had plenty of pots and pans as well as sharp knives, cutting boards, etc. Lots of comfy pillows, nice looking decor, and a large shower were all nice touches. When we arrived there was a complementary bottle of wine and some Dos Lunas cheese waiting for us, which was a really nice touch. We booked a private cheese tasting with Joaquin, and it was a really special (and delicious) way to celebrate the holiday. Joaquin’s passion for his craft was incredible and we really enjoyed learning more about the amazing flavors that can come from creative and thoughtfully produced cheese! We loved being near Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ and Manchaca Springs Saloon, and the neighborhood was fairly quiet. All in all we had a lovely stay and would definitely like to return!

Lovely Cabin

Lovely Cabin

I did a short stay here while waiting on my house to be built nearby. I found this cabin to be inspiring. The interior design is really great and I felt good doing my remote work here. It's on a cheese farm and they shared some great samples with me too. Would definitely recommend.
