Thinking of a nice relaxing vacation in Galveston?
This home provides a relaxing atmosphere with clean beaches and beautiful sunrises. It is in a desirable area of Galveston near San Luis Pass in the Playa San Luis community (Next to the Pointe West community). The beach is only a 4 minute walk away from the house without having to get onto a main road.
This home has been recently updated with granite countertops in the kitchen and a dining room with a dining table that seats 8.
It can comfortably accommodate 6 people - but could fit as many as 8 with the provided air mattress.
There are 3 bedrooms in the house. The master bedroom has a King-size bed with a walk-in closet and an ensuite bathroom. The guest bedroom also has a king size bed with it's own ensuite bathroom. The third bedroom has a queen size bed. It shares the bathroom in the hallway.
The house has central air conditioning.
The living room has an HDTV with a Blu-ray DVD player from which you can stream movies and shows from Netflix (Note No Cable TV). Wi-Fi Internet access is included so that you can stay connected to the world if you so desire.
The back yard is fenced in so you have a place for your dog to relax. There is a charcoal grill on the concrete pad downstairs.
A Washer and Dryer is available for your convenience as necessary. A limited number of towels, beach towels and linens will be provided as part of the cleaning fee.
The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans, a blender and a Keurig coffee maker with a supply of K-Cups. There is a full size stove and oven, microwave and fridge.
The Galveston Sea Wall is about a 25 minute drive away, where you'll find restaurants, entertainment, putt-putt golf and other shops. The historic Pleasure Pier (Amusement center) is also on the Sea Wall.
Note that major grocery stores are 30 minutes away, so plan accordingly. There are small local grocery (convenience) stores within a 5-10 minute drive of the house.

You could start your day off with some fresh coffee on the deck as you enjoy the sea views and beaches. Then get ready for the beach. There is a beach cart in the garage downstairs where you'll find umbrellas, and chairs.
For families with little kids, there are also beach toys in the garage.
The walk to the beach is a short 4 minutes inside the property, over a wooden bridge that protects the dunes, then you're right on the beach. You can walk for several miles in either direction.
After your day at the beach, please enjoy a nice rinse in the outdoor shower downstairs before you go upstairs!
You could spend a day exploring the shops and restaurants on Sea Wall Blvd. Then come home and have a bar-b-que in the yard.
On another day, you could do an hour long horseback ride on the Beach! (This is the Galveston Island Horse and Pony Rides at East Beach). On that same day, you might as well also visit the Strand where there are more shops and restaurants.
When you get back to the house, the experience of relaxing on the deck with a glass of wine or a cocktail, while absorbing the wonderful atmosphere of a beach retreat is a great way to top off each day of your vacation!
For a change of pace, you could try your hand at fishing. You could fish right off the beach or drive down to San Luis Pass where you could drive your truck right onto the beach. You could spend the day by hopping on a deep sea fishing party boat to catch whatever fish is in season. There are also fishing piers on the Sea Wall.
For Golf, there is the Moody Gardens Golf Course (public), as well as the Galveston Country Club (Membership required).
If you wake up early enough to meet the sunrise, go to the beach and see it come over the horizon! At night, you can see the moon's reflection right from the beach.
NOTE! There IS a community swimming pool on the other side of the highway! There is a tunnel that leads to that area. You can walk there (10 minutes), or drive your car there (across the highway - the tunnel is not big enough to fit cars).

Our Stay Was Fantastic
We recently had the opportunity to stay at a property that exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the well-maintained and clean condition of the premises. Closeness to the Beach

The children loved spending their days in the sand and waves, building sandcastles and engaging in other beach activities. The house was great, and the hosts were very communicative and accommodating. We had two kids under two, and they stocked snacks for them, provided a pack n play, and other toys.

This was the prettiest beach house we have stayed in! Everything was immaculate! The neighborhood, the location, the beach, the house and everything in it! They really thought of everything and we had the best time during our weekend stay. We will definitely be returning!

We loved staying at this beach house! We had 6 adults and 1 toddler staying and the house was spacious enough for everyone to enjoy. The hosts were very responsive and quick to any questions we sent.
We loved the convenience of the short walk to the beach. The beach wagon provided was great to carry everything to the beach. They also had so many other things to enjoy at the beach or on the patio such as a canopy, collapsible chairs, kites, kiddie pool, chalk, yoga mat, etc,. I probably would have done yoga on the porch if it weren't for the gigantic mosquitoes, so be aware.
The house was fully stocked and the hosts were sweet enough to provide some snacks which were also easy to take to the beach. The house had dish soap, laundry soap and a new dish washing sponge available (not all places I stayed at provided those). The kitchen was also fully stocked, spices included, to cook anything. When you first walk in, there is a very stong disinfectant smell from when the house was cleaned so if you are sensitive to smells, beware.
Overall, we loved our stay and will most definitely stay here again if we visit Galveston!

My friends and I have met in Galveston for a "girl's week" for the past 25 yrs. This property was, by far, our best rental yet: every amenity was provided including many we didn't even know we wanted, the host provided almost instant communication, beautiful, quiet location with nearly private beach, high quality accommodations all around. My friends from San Diego just kept saying "lovely" to describe the week there. We will definitely stay again!

House was super comfortable and well-equipped. Location really was steps from beach. The beach was not crowded and no vehicles allowed. The host supplied us with many extras: lots of towels and beach towels, fun snacks for adults and kids. Toys for the two boys. There was a wagon in the garage and plenty of chairs to take to beach. My sister and I cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was in Luba and Marcelino's house. My sister is in a wheelchair and the house fit her needs quite well. It was so clean and well-equipped (the food and snacks provided were great!) with the beach toys, chairs, and towels, plus the good internet connection, that we felt quite at home. We loved it's location so near to the beach, and yet it was peaceful and quiet. Luba and Marcelino were instantly available to answer the questions we had.

There are nice hosts with VRBO and then there is this family. They go above and beyond to make you feel truly welcome and go completely out of their way to make sure you have the best time. The house is absolutely perfect, right next to the beach, they have everything you need in the home, there’s literally no negatives to anything about this place. The host greeted us with snacks and toys for our daughter, talk about hospitality!! We can’t wait to go back!

We rented the house for a family thanksgiving get together. 7 total (5 adults, 2 teenagers) plus one small dog. The house is just adorable! Clean, well appointed and decorated, perfect size for multiple family groups to stay at (plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms.)
Everything was just as we expected, plus several bonuses! The house truly is a 2-3 minute walk to the beach. The small fenced in yard was great for our dog. We had a gift bowl of food and treats from the owner when we arrived - a nice perk! The elevator does work and is a fun (and helpful!) element of the house.
The owner was proactive in communication before we arrived, and quick to answer whenever we had questions during our stay.

It’s so cozy, filled with beach amenities, stocked with delicious snacks, and comfortable furniture.
The owners go above and beyond! They have organic foods, the towels are big, pillows are so soft, and beds are very comfortable, everything is high quality!
My husband and I are now looking into getting the same mattress in the master bedroom. We get the best sleep there!
The elevator is so helpful, the gated yard gives us peace of mind for our small dog. The view of the ocean is spectacular!
Can’t wait to go back!
The only suggestion I have is that the streaming internet on the master bedroom tv is intermittent.

We can't say enough great things about this house! Great location, great size and had everything we needed!! Luba also left us plenty of snacks and a sweet card congratulating us on our anniversary. The view is beautiful, the elevator is so helpful and makes loading and unloading easier, the storm shutters help keep the rooms nice and cool, the extra towels, blankets, and the list goes on with how much they provide for you to make this our home away from home!

This beautifully decorated beach house was just what my family needed for a 4 night getaway. Not only was it perfect for us, the owners went way beyond our expectations. Our Yorkie fur baby loved exploring the cute little fenced in yard. There was also an elevator to transport our families who couldn’t walk the stairs. Just a short walk to the beach we were able to relax on the beach. A huge shout out to the owners - they were a dream to communicate with and we thank them for sharing their beautiful home with my family.

This house and host are fantastic! The property has a tremendous open concept layout, 3 bd, 3 bath plus elevator. The gulf views from the family room, kitchen and deck are absolutely stunning. Additionally, the beach is a short walk (3-5 minutes) directly down the street to the walkover. The host has provided everything you need to thoroughly enjoy your stay. Our only complaint is that our trip to Galveston was not long enough and we’d gladly book the beach house again without a second thought!
