Ellsworth is also the gateway to Mount Desert Island (but pronounced "de-ZERT" following French manor of speaking). MDI is the home of Acadia National Park and the Town of Bar Harbor. The park entrance is 25 miles from Pebblenook Lodge and with summertime traffic it is about a 40 to 50 minute drive. To the north, you can explore Mt. Katahdin (the terminus of the Appalachian Trail) inside of Baxter State Park.

No matter what you choose to do, there is so much to explore in Maine. Pebblenook Lodge promises to be a wonderful respite on Graham Lake in which to relax and enjoy solitude away from the crowds of Bar Harbor. Oh... you will be amazed at the stars on a clear night. Happy star gazing!

We really enjoyed our week in the cabin on the lake. The cabin is super nice and clean. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything one would need to cook some super meals. There is a really nice Weber gas grill on the deck that we used almost every night. We loved the stay and plan to return.

We had a wonderful stay at Pebblenook Lodge. The house was very comfortable for our family, and had everything we needed for cooking meals, etc. We loved the yard games, relaxing on the deck, s'mores at the firepit, and swimming and canoeing on the lake. It was a great home base for our adventures to Acadia and Schoodic. Highly recommend!

Place was as described. Hosts were great. Our toaster broke and the next morning after speaking with the hosts a new one was on the porch waiting for us. They gave great recommendations for around town. We had a great time not only enjoying the lake and house but also adventuring around Acadia, Ellsworth and Mt. Desert Island. Definitely recommend staying here.

We were looking for a place to relax from the Bar Harbor chaos. The Pebblenook was perfect for us. We had a pair of owls greet us each night at dusk. Loons called out from less than a 100 yards from shore. Tim and Sharon are amazing hosts and give great tip on where to eat and other places in Acadia. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks Tim and Sharon
