Located in the quiet heart of the Crystal Coast, you won't have to compete for the perfect beach spot. Enjoy the best of both worlds only one block from either the Atlantic Ocean or the Bogue Sound. A variety of restaurants and local attractions are just a short drive away. Vacation just moments from the very best Emerald Isle and the charming seaside towns of Beaufort and Morehead City have to offer!
Buoy Oh Buoy is outfitted with everything (everything!) you will need for a perfect beach getaway - chairs, umbrella and Shibumi sunshade, beach towels, a beach cart, coolers, and even a commercial ice maker! There are two kayaks for an adventurous day on Bogue Sound. If you prefer to be active on land, Buoy Oh Buoy is located on Emerald Isle’s, safe, well-maintained running/walking/cycling path, near Mile Marker 13.5.
After fun in the sun, Buoy Oh Buoy has a hot-water outdoor shower to rinse off. There are two hammocks under the house where you can unwind with a great book. The deck offers a gas firepit and a hammock porch swing—perfect places to continue reconnecting with your loved ones.
Inside, the kitchen is meticulously equipped to turn your groceries into fabulous meals. No need to worry about hauling anything to the beach—the kitchen has a large refrigerator with ice maker, high quality cookware and cutlery, loads of chef’s tools, an enameled dutch oven, bakeware, and a slew of small electrics, including Kitchen Aid stand mixer, Breville ice cream maker, slow cooker, panini press, food processor, Nespresso Pixie espresso machine and Keurig coffee maker. The outdoor gas grill allows you to serve up summer anytime of the year. There's plenty of dishes, glasses, and utensils. Afterwards, don’t waste precious vacation time scrubbing; let the dishwasher do the work!
The primary suite is located on the top floor with a queen bed, large walk-in closet, full bathroom, and a private balcony with seating for two. On the main floor there are two additional bedrooms, each with a queen bed and closet space to unpack. The main floor bedrooms share a full bath, which also houses the large capacity Maytag washer and dryer. All beds include premium mattresses, cozy high thread-count linens, and extra pillows. High quality bath and kitchen towels are also provided.
On rainy days, gather in the living room and enjoy a movie from our beach-themed DVD collection or stream your favorites on AppleTV with Netflix, Hulu, HBOMax, Disney Plus, or Peacock. A collection of board games, card games, and puzzles are also provided. High speed Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the cottage, and Apple HomePods makes high-quality music streaming a breeze. We also provide a guide for nearby destinations to explore while you are staying with us.

The cleanliness of the house was white glove approved. Location was excellent! The owners went above and beyond to make sure you have so many extras to enjoy your stay. Bouy O Bouy was everything as advertised online. The place was immaculate and had everything that a family or group of friends would need for a fantastic beach vacation. The location was perfect for access to the beach or sound. Whenever I messaged the owners, Jason would always respond within a few minutes. They provided an online PDF and hard copy booklet which explained how things operated at the beach house in great detail. There were also helpful suggestions for activities on the island and recommended places to eat. I would not hesitate to book this property again.

Buoy Oh Buoy was a very clean and comfortable home. Our family was able to relax and enjoy our stay. The decor and bedding was very upscale and pleasing. We enjoyed putting together the puzzles, relaxing in the hammocks, and cooking on the grill. Walking to the beach was so quick and easy with the beach cart provided. The beach chairs were wonderful, too. Jason and Andrew were very responsive to our questions and provided all of the information needed for our stay. We would definitely recommend staying at Buoy Oh Buoy and would love to return.

Buoy Oh Buoy! was as excellent choice for us. It was very pleasant inside and out with outstanding outdoor equipment and very nice furnishings throughout the interior. We did not have time to even begin to give all of the outdoor equipment justice. We would have loved to use the kayaks and the fire pit, but we were just too busy. We did use the wheeled cart to take chairs and a cooler (great selection of coolers, and the chairs were very nice) to the beach, and the cart performed beautifully! The kitchen was wonderfully well equipped. I wish that I had known that for coffee we needed pods (Keurig and Nestle espresso), and I would have liked a way to heat water for tea other than the microwave. Minor things, and the lovely welcome package had coffee pods (& many other things) to start us off. It also included dishwashing soap, laundry pods, & dishwasher pods, all very helpful for people who had traveled by plane. Thank you for a wonderful place. We would definitely return!

The house was fantastic, and the beach was even more fantastic. The house was clean when we arrived, and it seemed to have everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, so we were able to cook most of our meals at the house. The beach was just perfect. Tons of room to pick whatever spot you want, and the water was amazing the entire week. Couldn't have asked for a better week at the beach. We would definitely stay here again.

Buoy oh Buoy is as advertised. The house was clean when we arrived. All of the extra amenities provided make your vacation that much easier. We loved the space at the Beach. There is no need to get there early to get a spot because it is not an issue. Hard to believe in July. The Shibumi and the beach cart made trips to the beach easy. The commercial ice maker eliminates having to get ice every so often. We liked Buoy oh Buoy and would definitely stay there again.

The kitchen at "Buoy Oh Buoy" was awesome! It was abundantly stocked with all the essentials - From cookware to appliances and gadgets, everything was conveniently available. We had a blast preparing meals together and enjoyed the convenience of having everything we needed right at our fingertips.
This property is just a quick walk to the beach, allowing us to easily indulge in endless hours of sand and surf.
Buoy oh Buoy had beach chairs, umbrellas, and even boogie boards available for our use. Although we brought our own, it is good to know that Jason and Andrew have every single item you would need for a day at the beach.
The ice machine was my favorite feature. The hammocks were a close second :)
Overall, our stay at "Buoy Oh Buoy" was an incredible experience. The property exceeded our expectations in every way, and the attention to detail was amazing.

Buoy Oh Buoy is arguably the best beach rental we have taken in 12 years of vacations at various beach locations in Virginia and North Carolina. The owners have gone to great lengths to make your stay as "turn key" as possible.
The kitchen is well appointed. The beds are very comfortable. The house is clean and presents an artful ambiance in comfortable surroundings. Moreover, there is an ice maker, beach chairs, a beach cart for transporting your beach equipment. And it's only about 350 steps from the pristine beach of Emerald Isle.
Jason and Andrew make you feel welcome from the time you enter the door with a basket of useful goodies, including snacks, a bottle of wine, coffee cartridges and even soap pellets for the dishwasher. They have thought of everything you might have forgotten on your way to the stay.
Like I say, we have been doing this for a dozen years and this is a beach location made better by the attention to detail of the hosts. Highly recommended.

This home has been by far the best we have ever stayed in. We had not been to EI in over 10 years and I am so glad that we decided to come back this year for vacation. Jason and Andrew have created more than just a beautiful beach home. This house lends itself to a stress free and pampered experience. They have thought of everything. We only brought ourselves and luggage. Everything for the beach was provided. The ice maker was fantastic! The house is nestled among the trees which provided a private and secluded feel. Close to the beach and close to the sound, it was convenient to everything. We enjoyed sitting on all of the porches and especially loved the hammocks. The kayaks were such an added bonus and we enjoyed several sunset paddles on Bogue Sound. They have spared no expense in outfitting this home with everything you need plus things you wouldn’t find in an ordinary beach house. There were none of grandma’s furniture hand me downs. Everything was beautifully decorated yet not presumptuous at all. We still felt relaxed. It was almost like a boutique hotel and beach house married. The kitchen would make any cook happy and has top quality cookware, pans and cutlery. EVERYTHING was nice. We felt so spoiled and welcomed, like we were staying in friend’s home. You can feel the love they have for this house and the appreciation they have for their guests. True Southern hospitality at it’s finest. We didn’t want to leave and will be back. Great location, excellent hosts!

Booked for the weekend to stay at while in the area for my sister’s wedding. Absolutely wonderful place to come back and relax at. The firepit was perfect, the beach is just a short walk away, and the hammocks were great to lounge in. There’s even a plethora of recommendations for activities to do in the area (even taking into consideration if it should rain). Very clean, well stocked (includes a little gift basket!) and bright. The only downside is that the weekend went by so fast. I wish I booked just one more day! Jason was incredibly responsive, and checked in on me during my stay to make sure everything was going well. Overall, a 5 out 5 experience.

Our stay at Buoy Oh Buoy! was great! It's location provided easy access to a beautiful beach. We really appreciated the care taken to welcome us. We received an amazing welcome package, complete with a note from the owners. The kitchen was so well stocked, making cooking dinners quite easy. The home was spotless and beautifully decorated. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need and more. The fire table was wonderful for the chilly evenings.
The amenities were amazing. It was nice not to have to bring beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, etc. The owners were very responsive and available if needed. We opted to unplug and just enjoyed the ocean and all of the activities available on Emerald Isle and in the area.
It is situated centrally between The Point and Fort Macon so getting to restaurants and activities was easy. An easy walk to the ocean for beach fun or the sound for kayaking.

The host was friendly and quickly responded to questions or concerns. A lovely gift basket was a welcoming sight after our long drive. Below are the aspects of Buoy Oh Buoy that made our stay enjoyable:
- The hammock porch swing on the deck and the hammocks under the house were great for relaxing. Each morning I enjoyed a cup of coffee while reading on the porch hammock.
- A comprehensive guide was provided with detailed instructions and restaurants to try.
- The good quality beach gear (umbrella, towels, and chairs, and coolers) along with a beach cart to push our items to the beach made our daily trip to the beach easy and relaxing.
- Short walk to the beach.
- The ice commercial ice maker - very convenient.
- The kitchen contained high quality cookware and chef tools. If we thought of an appliance or cookware the Buoy Oh Buoy kitchen had it.
- Beautiful fire pit with comfortable chairs.
These small things would have made it better. Please be mindful these minor inconveniences were not mentioned to the host as we noticed them and I have good faith that if we had mentioned it to Jason, he would have quickly responded. Many of these were quickly remedied with a quick run to Food Lion and we would DEFINITELY return and recommend this location for a relaxing vacation.
- A small broom and dust pan available in the kitchen to clean up small crumbs. There is a Dyson cordless vacuum, but the broom and dust pan are easier in my opinion.
- Full bottles of cleaning products (multi-surface cleaners and Tub & Tile spray for shower) and anti-bacterial wipes in the bathroom and kitchen. The ones provided were almost empty (there was only one Clorox wipe in the container, and Lysol multi-surface spray bottle was almost empty). We drove to Food Lion and purchased some to use.
- Extra kitchen trash bags - we only had one trash bag for our five day stay.
- Large cob webs on the balconies and chairs - expected in nature but bring something to wipe them if you have a fear of critters as I do.
- A small brush for cleaning dishes - would have been helpful in cleaning the colander (a dishwasher does not remove all of the food particles).
- Master bedroom bathroom not enough toiletry space for more than one person or I may just have too many toiletries.
- Refrigerator H2O filter needed to be changed. We had bottled water

We loved everything about our stay. After making the long drive from New England, we were greeted with a very thoughtful welcome basket. That was a VRBO first!! The house had everything we needed (and more!) The kitchen was outfitted with high-end items, the bedroom and bathroom linens were luxurious, and the beach chairs were so comfortable we never wanted to leave the beach.
