Host was the best.

covered area to park boat. close to the lake. spent most of our time at or on the water. It was a lake house, so no reason not to spend all your time except eating and sleeping at the water.

I booked this property and had communicated to the property owner about arrival procedures and such. Her replies were slow, but were there. We got there later in the afternoon and the key wasn't were she told me it would be, but the side door was unlocked so we went in and I messaged her while we got our stuff inside. We noticed there were a few towels and bath stuff that had been used and hung up. We thought maybe they just hadn't gotten it fully cleaned so I messaged her about that as well. Didn't get a reply for awhile so we went walking around the lakeshore while our 2 boys were fishing. Then I get a message from her saying she had double booked. I asked her if that meant we had to leave, I never got a reply back. She did refund the amount, but communication was horrible. We quickly got back to the house and got our stuff and had to scramble to find somewhere to stay that night.

Nice location but house was substandard. Locks on doors were not secure. The kitchen left a lot to be desired - a coffeemaker, a table with chairs to fit, useable pots and pans, better lighting (the ceiling light didn't even work). Beds need new mattresses. The toilet in the main bathroom was so close to the vanity that it was almost unusable. Doors on the closet in the master bedroom could not be opened without GREAT effort. We were charged a cleaning fee even though it wasn't very clean, especially the fridge. We paid for 2 nights but left after the first night because we didn't get a very good night sleep the first night and didn't want another uncomfortable night sleep.

House is cute. Owners seem to be in the process of updating which is about half way complete. With every downside of this property there’s a upside to make up for it though. We didn’t have enough bath towels for 6 of us staying and didn’t find a coffee pot so make sure to bring those items. However it’s a great location close to Ollys and Cardinal cove if your doing a guided fishing trip out of the areas it’s right around the corner. Beds were pretty uncomfortable and sagged in the middle on a couple of them toilet seat was broken in the master bathroom but I believe those are a part of the remodeling list. Overall we had a good time and we’re just happy to be there and spending time with people we love. We were happy with the property and for the location feel like the price point is decent. Had a great weekend and looking forward to coming back seeing the property in the future.
