Nice home, outside could have been cleaned up. Also, during our stay we had unannounced visits from the pool cleaner and pest control folks. Evolve apologized profusely for this. Problem with a faucet that was fixed promptly. Pool and immediate area clean and so enjoyable. Overall very nice stay.

My family and I flew in for the U of A graduation. Upon landing (at 4pm) I received a message that our reservation had been canceled. I called the property management group who informed me it was to late in the day to find a replacement rental. Graduation weekend and no place to stay. I will never use VRBO again!!

Our extended family (ages 34-90) stayed here the last week of March. We loved the house. It's comfortable and nicely decorated. Plenty of space to either sit around together or find your own corner. Nice location in a quiet neighbor where you barely notice the surrounding homes. Beautiful views of the Catalina Mountains from the backyard (and dining room and sitting room). Sunset views from the front yard. Grocery stores and other necessities within 10 minutes. 20-50 minutes to major attractions - like state and national parks. The local manager (TurnKey Pros) were responsive to our questions. One negative - the backyard amenities no longer match the listing photos, which were taken when everything was new and pristine. The putting green, hammock area, and chiminea area needed weeding and attention. Didn't really bother us - the outdoor seating is fine and we enjoyed the sunshine and views - but needs attention. We would stay here again.

The home has kitchy Southwest decor, but overall it could use some attention in the places where it goes from rustic decor to neglect. One place that was disappointing was the yard. The pictures of the yard in the VRBO post should be updated to reflect the current status of the front and back lawn. Weeds have overgrown everything, the pathways, the landscaping and even the putting green in the back. I live in AZ and we have had a lot of rain this year, but routine landscaping keeps the weeds under control. The other con for me was that a paper thin drape was the curtain in the master bedroom. This curtain is not shown in the VRBO photos. As a result, we woke with the dawn every morning, but not on purpose:( The bedroom across the hall is just as bright. If you are someone who can sleep through full sun or can sleep with eye covers, then it may not be a problem. In general, the house has a lot of potential, it is just showing its age in places and needs some updates. Here are the pros: - communication with the manager was quick and easy. - neighborhood is quiet and conveniently located near shopping, restaurants, hikes, etc. - the master bathroom is nice and has a nice rainshower

Spent a month at this property. It's in an excellent location, close to shopping, restaurants and attractions. The neighborhood is quiet and a good place for walking. The house has nice outdoor spaces with good views of the desert. Lots of birds and wildlife are in the area. I will stay here again when visiting Tuscon.

The main positives are the views of the Catalina Mountains and the art collection on the walls both of which gave you a strong positive feeling of being in the Southwest. The negatives all relate to the condition of the house and lack of maintenance on the property. Paying a premium price you would expect a modern stove, appliances that work like the coffee machine which lacked a proper pot and a hot water kettle that didn't work at all. Other examples are the carpets on the bathroom floors which were badly worn and the master bedroom carpet which was threadbare. It was clear that either Evolve, who apparently no longer represent the property, and/or the owner should have paid more attention to what could and should be a premier property. Despite the shortcomings we enjoyed the stay due essentially to the ambiance of the location and decor of the house, which we would rate (5), but unless some changes were made in the house and property we would not stay there again, hence the overall rating of (3=3.5).
