I also wanted to address the issues that we have had during our stay. we tried to vacuum but the vacuum will not suck anything up. the broom is about 3ft tall, so very hard to sweep an entire place. few issue to report about the stay: the living room lamp does not work. the fan remote in living room works often on so it might need a battery. The fish table that you have in the living room paint is peeling and when my granddaughter was eating her snack a piece of it pulled up with her chips. Good thing I was noticing and stopped it. there was a sucker stuck on the floor in the upstairs bedroom, stuck to the floor by the way. The couch sinks in so far that it actually hurts to sit on this couch for a while. I actually had to take the extra cushions that were sitting on the ground outside on the deck and put them on the couch to have any kind of padding to feel comfortable to sit on the couch. The house obviously has not been cleaned by anybody that respects their work because I have picked up countless piles of stuff. It's not been dusted in a long time. and obviously not cleaned if there's popsicle stick stuck to the bedroom floor upstairs. The carpet on the floor upstairs is disgusting. I didn't even want my grandkids to run around this place with bare feet, as it was dirty I made everybody wear socks. The blankets in the bedrooms smelled like cigarette smoke so my husband and I washed all the blankets. If we would've had different alternatives to stay somewhere else an

The overall condo needs updating and you can tell that everything was fixed on the inside very cheaply to the point to where it stood out and did not look good. We paid around $430 a night for 7 nights and it just did not feel any bit of that. It was not upscale for what we paid. But the most important part was that the condo was not clean. All of the countertops and surfaces were poorly wiped and still had dirt and residue. All of the air vents were dirty, dusty, and had not been cleaned in a long time. The bathtub in the hallway had a pink ring around the tub and the shower curtain had black scum and buildup on it. The bathroom off the master bedroom was not as bad, but the shower curtain had black residue on it also. The bathroom handrail, sink, and fixtures were poorly renovated and looked uninviting. Our family was really disappointed with the condo and expected more for the amount of money we paid per night. The owner Alice is a great communicator and we have expressed our complaints to her and she had been nothing but helpful and pleasant! But she has not responded to my last message after she offered a partial refund, so I was a bit surprised and disappointed that she didn’t respond back after a weeks time. Thank you for reading this, as I wanted anyone else that is interested in staying here an opportunity to see my review and the issues that we experienced. Best, Holly

The condo is poorly maintained with stained couches, chairs and carpet, filthy air vents, duct taped flooring on stairs to loft, and low quality furnishings. Within 30 minutes of arrival we noticed that the bottom of children’s feet were very dirty from floor, so we bought cleaning supplies to mop the tile floors. We also purchased blankets to cover the dirty furniture. We liked that the condo sleeps a good number of people (we had 8) but the limited inside seating made it difficult for everyone to comfortably hang out in the main living area together. While this is outside of the control of the owners, I wish I had know beforehand that the nearest beach access is closed due to erosion issues. Note: there is access within walking distance to the left of the pier, but not as close as we had expected. Overall we enjoyed time with family and made the best of the accommodations, but would not recommend it to others or stay again.

Will be booking again for years to come. The host were so informative and welcoming. Only 50 feet from the beach. Plently of room for the whole family. Very relaxing atmosphere. Our favorite activity was sitting out on the balcony reading a book in the early sunrise listening to the oceans gentle roar. There are no amout of words to accurately describe how much joy this property brought to all of our souls.

We enjoyed our Spring Break vacation with our daughter, her friend, and our Boston Terrier furbabies. The condo is very nice, roomy, and comfortable. The beach access is right across the street to the beautiful “private island” beach. The host responds very quickly to messages and was wonderful to work with. We hope to visit Carolina Beach again in the future!
