Great location! This studio condo is at Purgatory Resort and about the same distance as a two block walk to the ski lift and the main Plaza where you will find shops, restaurants ski rentals and more. This updated and well-maintained ground-level studio condo includes a full kitchen, cozy living room large sofa, private, off-ground balcony with gas grill and full bath with an interior hallway that leads to the private entrance of the home.

PURGATORY SKI MOUNTAIN LOCATION: This condo is located at Purgatory Ski Resort in the San Juan Mountains. Purgatory is 25 minutes north of downtown Durango and is known as a family-friendly ski resort. It has 105 trails, including 5 terrain parks, over 1,500 skiable acres and 12 lift. The resort boasts an average annual snowfall of 260 inches. Purgatory Resort offers a variety of activities and amenities that cater to families, including ski lessons, childcare and a variety of restaurants. It is a more affordable option that some of the other ski resorts in Colorado, has a good mix of terrain for all ability levels, and stunning views. If you're looking for a resort that offers something for everyone, staying at this condo at Purgatory is a great option!
SUMMER AT PURGATORY: Purgatory boasts a bike park accessible by chair lift, an alpine slide, mountain coaster, and treasure panning. There are also hiking trails, jeep tours, and watercraft rentals on Twilight Lake. Purgatory hosts various events throughout the summer, such as live music concerts, festivals and bike races.
Due to HOA rules, the condo (and all condos in the building) is not pet friendly. Please do not bring your pets/emotional support animals.
Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

I had no idea the Four Corner Rally was in Durango, so it was even better staying at Purgatory (not that I'm against crowds, just didn't line up with purpose of being in the country). For couples or individuals looking to save a little but still have all you need. I would highly recommend this property. The unit is a studio, but does have two small bunk beds. I really enjoyed having a kitchen with everything needed to cook. Check in and check out was seamless with notifying the host as well for a question. I'll be back to Durango, what a fantastic area to hike and home base for other area travels.

It was a perfect spot for a perfect trip! Easily able to walk to the lifts and easy check in and out. Murphy bed was super comfortable and having the locker right outside the door was very helpful! We would definitely stay here again in the future!

My family enjoyed staying in this unit for an extended ski weekend. We are 2 adults and 2 adult children and although this is a studio we managed to have ample space to fit our needs. We love the location, the well appointed kitchen and access to the pool and hot tub. The property manager was always very responsive and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Rented this studio for family friends that just needed a place to sleep. Most of their time was spend with the other family on a townhouse right on the mountain! Great place, great price!

Excellent location, with fairly easy walk to start skiing.
Everything was clean and easy to access. Customer service was responsive and very friendly. Love being right there in Purgatory, and even with being in first floor we had beautiful views out the porch.
It was a little tight for our teenagers on sleeping, but I would definitely book this place again. Value was solid.

Hot Tub/Fitness--What a joke. There was no hot tub near by. I called the rental company, they said their is no hot tub or fitness. The rental company called me back and explained I could go to the main lodge and pay for it. The maid lodge is about 10 minute walk, then I was unsure who to pay who to contact and where to change.

The description is HotTub/Fitness Access what a bunch of crap there is no HotTub or Fitness I called the number listed they said there in no Hot Tub. The management company called me after a bit and said oh for an extra fee you can go to the lodge which is about a 10 minute walk. I was not sure how to dress/change.... so we never had the opportunity. This is just a bad description and I was terribly disapointed.

This is a cute studio condo in a perfect spot to walk to the slopes. Ski locker inside the hallway right outside your front door. It was just the two of us so we used the bunk beds in the hallway as additional storage space. Kitchen and bathroom were well equipped. There is no dishwasher but that was not an issue for us. The bed was very comfy. Lots of hooks conveniently placed around the condo and in the bathroom which were handy. Check in and access was super easy. Good directions and information from host. We did have a couple minor issues with a missing tv remote, faulty coffee maker, and trying to regulate the heat but a call to the host took care of all that. They brought us a brand new tv remote with extra batteries, a brand new coffee maker, and also two space heaters to make sure we stayed. toasty warm!! Coin operated laundry was convenient - $1.75/per wash/dry load. Bring quarters. We would definitely stay here again and greatly appreciated the way the host went out of their way to make sure we were happy with our stay!

Overall the unit was clean. Very cramped as previous guests mentioned with lots of furniture. Wifi never worked inside the unit during our stay and company insisted they didn’t handle it and we would have to call to fix the issue. We had no signal to call inside the unit. Also paid for the access to pool and weight room but info wasn’t sent over and I had to call and wait for 30 plus minutes to get correct info sent to the lodge. Overall unit served its purpose but we will pass on this unit in the future.

We enjoyed our stay in the townhome. The only thing we can say that was not good was every time we’d be gone for the day and come back home, the place has a stinky smell when you walk back in. I’m not sure if it was coming from the garbage disposal or what. A bit further than we had originally thought it would be. We hadn’t looked up how far it was from Durango to purgatory. Also, the little bench at the end of the bed has a broken leg. Couldn’t really use it for the purpose of sitting on.

The room was nice and clean, but much smaller than we thought. The bed in the picture is a Murphy bed, which, when pulled out, leaves very little room. Also, the bunk beds are more narrow than normal and there isn't much space to store your bags. Be aware there is no air conditioning in this unit. We were comfortable at night with the sliding door open, but it is best to close the curtains during the day so the room doesn't heat up too much. Overall, it was a nice condo, just more cramped than we expected for our party of 3.

The condo was a good place to stay for a few nights. I did find a hair in the shower and the furnishings were a little much, as there was really no place to put our luggage. The upper bunk bed was not safe for our younger kids, and uses the closet space so the lower bunk was fairly small. We also could not find parking when we arrived after dark. We were very happy with the ability to add the Durango Mountain Club as we spent most of our day at the pool (however, it wasn't as warm as we thought a heated pool would be). We enjoyed the kitchen and balcony spaces!

Perfect Couple's Retreat
My husband and I wanted a quick get-away without the kids. This unit was a perfect fit for two people. It sleeps 4, but I'm not sure 4 adults or 2 adults/teenagers would be very comfortable. The check in/out was easy and hassle free. We enjoyed the location and the short walk to the lifts every morning. We would consider staying here again if our travels lead us back to Purgatory in the future.

Nice Location
Location was great! Loved the check-in key pad, but we did have to call to get arrival instructions. Heat was slow to warm-up at first, and it was snowing and breezy cold outside. But it worked fine after the 1st night. Thought the room was more cramped than it seemed in pictures. Kitchen is tight when fridge opens and table is being used. Fridge is also very loud when sleeping at night. Glad it was just my hubs and I because we wouldn’t have had much room to store luggage or change if others were using bunkbed/hall area. Probably won’t stay here again, but it was a bit roomier than our camper at least. More like a NYC apartment with a lumpy Murphy bed. Served the purpose I guess.

Awesome place
The accommodations were everything we were expecting and more! Very convenient location for all the amenities and just a short walk to the slopes. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need for cooking. Plenty of space to comfortably sleep a family of 4-5. Very clean and great service from the property manager. We will be back!!

Lovely property
The scenery is unmatched, worth a short drive outside of Durango. My husband and I stayed here and it was the perfect size, could have accommodated children, as well. Perfect for a family of four.

Great for a family of 4!
We enjoyed our time at Purgatory. COVID added some challenges with activity passes and not everything being open, but we had a blast! The condo was perfectly sized for a family of four and the kids loved the bunk beds. Soft bedding and comfy furniture was a plus. The kitchen had everything we needed, although a larger trash can would have been nice. Would stay here again!

We had a blast. Snow was great for skiing and snowboarding. Purgatory is a wonderful ski resort to visit. The Durango Silverton train is also a must! Beautiful scenery. Our studio condo looked exactly as it did in the pictures. The perfect condo for 2 adults and 2 children. The ski lifts, restaurants and shopping in the resort is everything in walking distance. Everything was in good working order. Communication between us and Marie was very prompt. We will definitely return in the future. Thank you for a wonderful break!

We had a blast. Snow was great for skiing and snowboarding. Purgatory is a wonderful ski resort to visit. The Durango Silverton train is also a must! Beautiful scenery. Our studio condo looked exactly as it did in the pictures. The perfect condo for 2 adults and 2 children. The ski lifts, restaurants and shopping in the resort is everything in walking distance. Cozy and close to attractions
This studio served all of our needs for a nana and grandkids getaway. We were able to walk to all of the attractions and the pool. TV, Wi-Fi, and a grill in addition to a full kitchen provided additional entertainment and in-house cooking. We all had a great time!

Very small for 4 people and rather dated although it was clean. The deck felt very dirty.

Great vacation accommodations
It was a great place to stay. The three of us felt comfortable and the studio had everything we needed. It was clean and everything worked. We walked to the ski area every morning, with our ski boots. It was really close walk. Quiet at night, friendly people around. We had a question about our wifi and Suzanne helped us right away. Thank you!
