This 3,000 sq. ft. home is a true BUXTON BEAUTY. A soundfrount beauty, you can spend your time kayaking around the shallow canal on one side and the sound on the other. Boat out to one-of-a-kind sunsets or try your luck with windsports, paddle boarding, or fishing. Dock your boat at the 25’ shallow boat slip on the canal side of the house. The under-house area has a carport and an outside shower with a removable wand, perfect for rinsing off after a day in the sound. A fish cleaning station with a hose is convenient for all fisherman, or use it to clean shells. An outside grill is perfect to cook your meal on and enjoy the spacious views. The first level of this home has the first bedroom and a den. The bedroom is a large master suite, with a king bed and a daybed with a trundle and an attached private bath that has a dual vanity, stand up shower, and separate tub. Bring your favorite movie to enjoy on the TV with DVD player. Enjoy the sound views from the indoor seating space, or sit out on the deck and enjoy the views while taking a dip in the hot tub. The den is a perfect place to hang out with the family. Come together and watch a movie on the TV with DVD player with cold drinks straight from the wet bar with a mini-fridge and sink and a laundry nook.
The second level of the house opens to the heart of the home. Sink in and enjoy family time in the great room of this home. With high ceilings and coastal colors, you won’t want to leave. Gather around to watch TV with a DVD player, or bring out a puzzle or board game to play. Your family will enjoy the kitchen with ample counter space and the under counter ice machine with a filtered water option. Grab a quick bite at the breakfast bar with seating for four or set the dining room table that can seat up to eight. A sun room is just off the dining room with furniture. Curl up and read a good book while you listen to the lapping of the water just outside. The large deck is mostly uncovered, the perfect place to work on your vacation tan and get sunset photos of the water. Two bedrooms are on this level; one with two twin-over-twin bunks with a TV and DVD player. The second bedroom is a king bed with ample space and a TV and DVD player and a private deck. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening drinks relaxing on your own secluded deck.
The third level of this home has the final bedroom. A king master suite with a TV and DVD player. The upper most deck is private to this room. Step away from everyone on the most elevated view in the home. Perfect for bird watching, or just watching the water. All bedrooms are large in size compared to other vacation rental homes; you’ll be living it up in spacious comfort. With water views from every window, this home is a true Hatteras Island beauty. Dogs are welcome for a fee of $200/dog/week.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the $200 weekly fee will apply for each dog and will be added once your reservation is finalized.

Vacation Rental Protection Plan: This required non-refundable $95 plan covers accidental damage within the home with a coverage limit of $3,000. It does not cover theft or willful misconduct. You must notify Surf or Sound Realty of any damage that occurs during your occupancy or this coverage will be void. Coverage is effective at time of check-in and ends at time of check-out.
