This lovely 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom condo, "Beach Retreat" is in the heart of the quaint Cape Charles Historic Area on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, only one block from the beach, "Beach Retreat" is a cozy, yet spacious second story two bedroom unit that requires steps to access. This unit has a charming beachy theme and is located in a historic brick building on Mason Avenue, the town’s historic thoroughfare, perfect for great people watching and access to all of the boutiques, restaurants and shops. In June 2012, Cape Charles was named “One of the Best Little Beach Towns” by Southern Living Magazine. "Beach Retreat" is only about a block from that beautiful Cape Charles town beach. This is the perfect vacation rental for a romantic or adventure filled getaway--any time of the year! It’s outfitted with very comfortable furniture and includes a dining room with seating for four. The 1st bedroom offers a high-end king-sized mattress and the 2nd bedroom offers a comfortable twin mattress. Full kitchen including dishwasher, built-in microwave and ceramic top stove. The apartment was clean and as expected. The property manager with Blue Heron Realty reached out to ask if they could bring some new furniture in, which was no problem for us. However, we waited until they arrived and then went out to dinner. When we returned the front door to the unit was wide open. I texted to inform her and have yet almost 24 hours later received an apology or explanation.

Everything was perfect for our long weekend stay. The location to the beach, restaurants, and stores was great. The place was spacious and had everything we needed. Beds and furniture were comfortable. We loved the openness of the living area.

This rental was overall tidy. It had everything we needed and was close to the beach. Will definitely be staying here again. The check in process was a little off, the company had given the wrong apartment number with the code to access, so I did have to go to the real estate company since no one would respond on VRBO messages.

This apartment was perfect for our trip! It was clean and comfortable, and easy walking distance to anywhere we wanted to go. The kitchen is small but well equipped, and the beds were extremely comfortable. We would love to stay here again!

Very nice home, tastefully furnished and good location. I found a dead roach in the bedroom and the sheet in one of the rooms had a strand of hair on it which was not a pleasant sight. Other than that a great stay.

Excellent little get away for two as long as you go before Labor Day weekend. The holiday weekend marks the closing of most attractions in town, which was not reflected in the price of the rent. The apartment was clean and well decorated.

We stayed at this awesome property for a 4-day getaway, it was perfect for our family of 3. Walking distance to all of Cape Charles Main Street shops, as well as the beach and fishing pier. The apartment was amazingly spacious and clean, the kitchen fabulously well stocked, we really could not have asked for more. Would love to stay again on our next trip!

We had a wonderful three days at Cape Charles. The property was spacious, very clean and perfectly located. It's a great town to walk and we had especially nice weather, so we enjoyed sunsets each evening. It was the perfect getaway for us.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed for a few days in this cosy apartment near shops, restaurants, and the beach in Cape Charles. We spent much of our time at the areas nature preserves, photographing migratory birds. We enjoyed the location of the apartment since we could walk to most everything in Cape Charles. We also enjoyed sitting on the deck. The small kitchen in the apartment is well outfitted with everything one needs for basic cooking. The living area is comfortable and welcoming and the bed was comfortable. We were completely satisfied with the accommodations.

This is Unit B. Very clean with the softest carpet- all seems new. I walked everywhere- long walks- short walks- walks by the water- to the shops to the restaurants. This place is close to everything. Comfy beds. Nice towels and lots of them. The desk is a working stand up desk and has a great chair with it. Constructive criticism- the ice maker did not work and there are no lamps in the living area - only over head ceiling fan lights. The ceiling fans are totally cool though. One lamp in one bedroom. Be warned the sofa is soft and low to the floor. Hard to get off it if you have trouble like that. Oh yes. 22 stairs and no elevator. We were not prepared for that but managed. The deck is on the back but was an incredible place to start the day and then later watch the night fall. Great furniture out there. All in all- a great place in a great town at a good price.

Cape Charles was incredible! This cozy apartment made our stay even better! The host was so informative and so wonderful to book with. The apartment was very neat and clean. It is very close to the beach! The area is beautiful! Overall, the place was incredible! Will definitely be visiting again!
