About this house rental
Eric and I recently travelled to Charleston and knew we had found a treasure after our first visit! We were charmed by historic old town Charleston and the stunning picturesque Spanish moss-covered oaks dotting the low country roads of nearby John's Island. The hip Folly Beach, quaint Sullivan Island, and Pet friendly Beachwalker Kiawah island beach are just a short car ride away!
We quickly fell in love with the area and were lucky enough to find and buy our new home away from home. The townhome is ideally located to Charleston, beaches, shopping and amazing restaurants yet very quiet and tucked into a peaceful nook away from traffic noise, surrounded by nature. Some of the best restaurants (IMHO) in our immediate vicinity (within a 5 min drive from the unit) are the Royal Tern, Tolli's, Wild Olive, Kiss Cafe and Tatooed Moose. On days that you don't want to eat out but chill and relax at our townhome, we provide a Chef friendly kitchen with everything you would need to cook or grill a delightful dinner, BYOF! Stop by Island Provisions at the local neighborhood newly built shopping center at Crowne Commons way for some wonderful, interesting wines and cheeses and last minute goodies.
The townhome has 2 nice sized bedrooms both with Green non-toxic mattresses and organic linens. The Master suite has a huge deep tub with a separate shower. The second bedroom is also very large with a full bath. Both bedrooms have plenty of storage with large walk-in closets. Sit outside on our comfortable Adirondack chairs jn our private outdoor patio/fenced in yard for a leisurely drink and conversation at night, coffee in the morning or a midday/evening bbq. Our screened in porch is the perfect place to sit during a rainstorm and hear the inviting rhythm of nature abound. The birds, butterflies and hummingbirds will be sure to greet you here!
Don't forget the community pool that is located a minutes walk away for a quick dip on a hot day! This rental is perfect to work remotely and yet still feel like you are on vacation or just to kick back and enjoy life and the wonders and culture of Charleston and its surrounding beauty. Not to mention that some of the best rated golf courses and restaurants in the United States are located here! And all within a 20-minute drive to Charleston International airport. Come be our guest. You will love it here!

Mary is very quick to respond to issues. Her home was as promised with very nice kitchenware and appliances. We truly enjoyed historic Charleston and Kiawah and Seabrook islands. Nice neighborhood.

We spent 2 months at this property, and were very comfortable there. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly and good for walking. It had everything we needed for our stay. I knew that if I had a question or needed anything, the owners were just a call or a text away, and quickly responded. Great experience all around and would definitely stay there again.

THE ACCOMMADATIONS AND LOCATION SURPASSED OUR EXPECTATIONS. THE TOWNHOUSE IS UPDATED AND BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED ALONG WITH BEING EXTREMELY CLEAN. WE ENJOYED SITTING OUT ON THE BACK SCREENED PORCH FOR OUR MORNING COFFEE AND EVENING COCKTAILS WITH NATURE AT OUR DOORSTEP.
THE LOCATION IS IDEAL TO EXPERIENCE GREAT LOCAL EATERIES AND SHOPS. JOHNS ISLAND IS CONVENIENTLY SITUATED JUST OUTSIDE THE " HOLY CITY" OF CHARLESTON WITH MANY NEARBY BEAUTIFUL BEACHES SUCH AS ISLE OF PALMS AND BEACHWALKER PARK AT KIAWAH ISLAND.
THANKS AGAIN TO MARY AND ERIC FOR BEING SUCH GRACIOUS HOSTS' AND ALWAYS BEING THERE TO ANSWER ANY OF OUR NEEDS. WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION FOR A GREAT STAY IN THE CHARLESTON AREA! WE WOULD DEFINETLY LOVE TO RETURN IN THE FUTURE.

Lovely island retreat
We had a fun two-month stay in this Johns Island townhome. Great location, tucked back from any main roads, but really close, so driving to Charleston or any of the other islands was very convenient. Patio was beautifully landscaped with screened porch and gorgeous plants. Very peaceful. Townhome was very tastefully decorated. - loved all the art on the walls. Many restaurants on John’s Island and Charleston area, but unless you plan to eat out every night, pack (or buy) all your staples (spices, sugar, foil etc). Also, there’s a Food Lion very near by!
Hopefully, we will be back again to enjoy this great townhome next year!

Great location to visit other island’s or Charleston or many of the plantations on Ashley River Road. Great restaurants nearby! Try Blackbird Market about 4 miles away. Awesome food and eat outside

This townhome is exactly what we were looking for. It's in a quiet neighborhood and conveniently located to everything we wanted to do. Our hosts Mary and Eric were the best, and made sure everything was just perfect for us. This property is very well maintained and has everything you could need.

It was clean, fresh, very well equipped, and beautifully furnished--exactly as it was described on the site. There are several outstanding restaurants within a 5-minute drive, and if you want to go to downtown Charleston, it was an easy 15 minute trip. The owners went out of their way to provide us with a very thorough listing of all the restaurants, the points of interest, and fun things to do in the area. The check-in process was very simple and efficient. Communication with the owners was always prompt and complete. I would highly recommend this townhome for anyone coming to the Charleston area.

It’s a rare find when a vacation or extended stay rental feels like home, but that’s exactly what hosts Mary and Eric have created for those of us lucky enough to rent their little gem on John’s Island - mere miles from the CHS airport, convenient to all the charm of downtown Charleston, 20 minutes from Folly Beach and within biking distance of some of Johns Islands’ quaint eateries, coffee shops and upscale grocers, this is a rental home not to be missed. Talk about the perfect home base from which to work and play. The property has all the bases covered in spades. For the busy professional there is high speed internet capable of simultaneously streaming video on multiple devices from anywhere in the house. ( confirmed via speedtest ) There are a number of comfortable work settings, including a screened in porch, from which to conduct zoom calls in complete quiet. After work the property easily transitions into what feels like one’s very own home. From the coffee maker, to the beach chairs , to the cork screw, to the laundry facilities , to the fully equipped kitchen, to the entertainment center (which provides all the streaming content a family could consume ) one is not left wanting for anything. Nor does one have to hunt around to find anything, or struggle to use it. Absolutely everything is right at your fingertips, in the exact spot one would expect to find something, and all in perfect working order. In the evening you will want to take a moment to enjoy a drink on Mary’s fenced-in patio garden. This is the perfect spot to unwind in quiet reflection, entertain or grill out on the gas grill. I can’t emphasize enough how the hosts have provided everything one would expect from their own home. When it’s time to turn in, one will find themselves sleeping in a cozy room, on an extremely comfortable bed consisting of a high-end mattress and a box spring supported from underneath down its center line. Yet another example of how the hosts have thought of everything. I would be remiss if I didn’t remark on the stellar hot water pressure in the showers and the toilet fixtures which instill confidence as opposed to leaving one guessing as is the case in so many vacation rentals. There is also a massive tub for two in the master. Mary’s list of recommendations only added to the ‘feels like home’ experience. By taking some of her cues, I instantly felt like a local. On a scale of 1 to 10, 1266 Fenwick Plantation Rd is a 13.
