We rented this home during the end of a tropical storm in Emerald Isle. Maggie kept us up to date on the conditions around the home even before we were scheduled to arrive. She was so nice! After arriving we were so impressed with all of the extra touches!!! The shampoo and soap on every bed, the bath salts and bubble bath by the tub…the treats in the basket in the kitchen!! The home was spotless, comfortable, well appointed and soooo welcoming! We hope to return for a longer stay and hope that Maggie’s place will be available! Don’t pass this rental up!!!

Wonderful neighborhood and lovely well equipped home. We enjoyed evening walks to the neighborhood parks and the short drive to the island beaches. Highly recommend!

Great location in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to a boat launch and small pier on the Bogue sound. A quick drive to Emerald Isle and supermarkets. Well stocked with kitchen and cleaning supplies—we were pleasantly surprised by the welcome basket snacks, waters, and dog toys! The owners clearly put a lot of thought into the property, they even dedicated the screened in porch as a play room with tons of games and activities for kids. Air conditioning worked great and was a huge relief from those hot and humid days.
Check in/out was a breeze and the host was easy to contact when needed. Would definitely stay again for our yearly trip to Emerald Isle. Thanks for being great hosts!

The outside of this house does not do justice to the cuteness of the inside. We were very pleased to find many things here we did not expect. There were games, snacks, reading materials, and toiletry items that might be forgotten. There is also a washer and dryer to do laundry. We enjoyed the sun room and walks to the boat dock. The view there was beautiful!

We were in town to race at Carteret County Speedway for Memorial Day. Easy access to track as well as the beach. Plenty of room in the home with all the needed cooking essentials. Quiet neighborhood, highly recommended.

This cottage was clean and wonderfully located. We had a great trip and if we ever go back to Cape Carteret we will try and stay here again.

This was our second stay at this home, and we absolutely loved it! We plan to make this an annual trip if available. The home is spacious, clean and has everything we needed, plus it’s a short drive to the beach, grocery stores and restaurants. We love this VRBO!

We were visiting our son thats in training at Camp Lejeune. The location was about 30 mins away. The location was perfect to base, shopping, restaurants and the beach. I loved that it was pet friendly as I brought my frenchie with us. I highly recommend Gaffers for dinner and the little family owned theater at Emerald Plantation Cinema. We will definitely stay again!

We loved the Bayview House, the ping pong game, the community, the parks & the beaches. This home is stocked with everything you need and has great outdoor space (fenced yard a plus if you have pets). Stay here, no comparison!

We stayed at the home last year and really enjoyed our trip. When we walked in this year, it was just as good as we remembered it. It was a little like coming home, only this house was clean and free of kid clutter!

I stayed at Margaret's lovely home during a visit to Eastern NC with my husband and our dog. We could not have chosen a better place for our vacation! Margaret is an excellent and welcoming host. The home was impeccably clean, spacious, and well-supplied. The welcome basket and other thoughtful touches were above and beyond what we have ever experienced at any other VRBO. We loved the convenience of having a fenced-in area for our dog to run and play, just a short walk from the back door. The jacuzzi in the master bathroom was also a wonderful feature -- a great way to relax after a day of swimming and sun!
The location was fantastic, just a short drive over the bridge to to get to the beaches on Emerald Isle and lots of other fun things to do nearby! We especially enjoyed our trip to the Bogue Sound Distillery, which is located right down the street (toward the front of the neighborhood) and often hosts food trucks and other fun events. We also took a pleasant drive over to Beaufort and took the ferry to Shackelford Island to see the ponies and go for a swim. So much to see and do -- this location is a great home base! And the neighborhood is very quiet and safe. We would love to visit again if we have the opportunity!

This property is - by far - the nicest, cleanest, most welcoming VRBO in which we've stayed. So many little touches, like a personal greeting, snacks, little informative signs here and there, added so much. Lovely decor, and so clean - we felt as comfortable as in our own home. Great house, we stayed for a fall weekend fishing trip. Host was very informative before our trip and during. Close to local restaurants and grocery stores as well as the wildlife boat ramp. Will be staying here again.

My hubby and I rented this property to stay for a wedding. We brought our 2 dogs, our friend and our friends child along. To start, the owner of the property was very prompt in answering all my questions. She was very nice to work with and bought a new gas grill for the house the day we checked in. The house was fully stocked with plenty of linens, towels, new water bottles, extra toiletries and a welcome basket with snacks for us. It was spacious, comfortable and felt like home. There are a few extension cords to help make reaching outlets easier but not excessive like I saw in another review. There are also a few steps here and there throughout the home. There are 3 steps up into the kitchen from the living area and 2 steps down into the shower area in one of the bathrooms. But it isn’t excessive and unless you have major mobility issues, you will not have a problem. The property itself is beautiful and had a small fenced in area for the dogs. It is literally right next to the sound and a 10 minute drive from the beach. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. There was also art supplies for my friends child and she loved painting and playing out on the enclosed porch the entire time. There’s also a smart tv in the living room where you can log into your own streaming accounts. I will definitely come back to Emerald Isle and therefore we will most definitely be staying here again. Couldn’t have been happier.

My stay was amazing!!! This house was extremely clean with a cozy bread and breakfast feel. Love how the bedrooms are at the opposite end of communal spaces. Lots of opportunity for play in the game room along with the ping pong table in garage. The neighborhood is quiet with an artistic kind of vibe. Its only 12 minutes from the beach!!! The pictures don't do this house justice. The indoors looks quite new structure wise whether its new or partially renovated im not sure, but either way you can tell its definitely been taken care of. The decor was beautiful as well, along with the basket of snacks and coffee options. I could tell that a lot of thought had gone into what to have around the house in terms of necessities and enjoyment. All and all it was a wonderful stay and I am so grateful to have had this experience!! I plan to come back again in the future. Thanks again! :)

Prior to this review, I did let the homeowner know some of my suggestions and the challenges we encountered. I did not hear back. The location was great for visiting our friend. The backyard was a plus. The kitchen looked nice; it was dated and some drawers didn't work well. Even though throwing out all food from fridge was a requirement for checkout, the refrigerator door was still loaded with food and condiments upon our check-in. Over all the house was fairly clean. The furnishings were cute, a patio playroom for kids was a nice touch. There are step/ stairs in multiple places. The need for a walk in shower and not a tub shower are needed for my husband, as steps are a challenge for him. When I inquired about the need for a walk-in shower prior to our booking it was pointed out that a new walk-in shower had 2 small steps leading to the shower. She even sent pictures. However, I wasn’t informed about the other stairs in the house. (One huge non regulation step upon entry and 3 steps with a rail only on one side leading from family room to kitchen and master bedroom level, as well as steps out back door leading to fenced yard. (Beware of this top step- just watch your footing). Lastly, the house has extension cords everywhere. The electrical in the master is sketchy. Bathroom fan cause’s bedroom light to flicker, and bathroom light flicks almost constantly when on. The presents of extension cords everywhere did not make me comfortable. All in all we were here 3 nights with limited use of house. It suited our needs, but it needs some improvements. I wish I would have known some of this prior to renting. The stairs were very difficult for my husband.
