The house was just as beautiful as the picture. Lots of fun games to play and enough space to just chill out if you wanted .

We had a wonderful time at the house. Beds were super comfortable, plenty of room for all of us. We had a great vacation. However, a few things could have made it more enjoyable. We had an issue with the kitchen sink not draining on Thanksgiving, Mark did come out on Friday morning & wasn’t able to fix. He stated that he called a plumber, being the holiday no one came out. That was the last I heard from the host. Not having a useable kitchen sink made meal prep extremely difficult. We had to buy disposable dinnerware, & trash bags. Kitchen drain should have been fixed on Friday, or even communicate anything on Sat. Shower head in shared bath was nearly impossible to shower with so we switched it out & left the old one under the bathroom sink. Exhausted fan needs to be fixed, not working. House was not cleaned well prior to our arrival (l.e dust on ceiling fans, bathrooms base of toilets, baseboards & vanity lights (had cobwebs) washing machine seal had some black mold (cleaned it as best as we could) They’re fortunate that we treated the house as our own, using a ladle to scoop water from the overflowing dishwasher (a few times a day) had to wash pots & pans in a bowl. Lastly, we are glad we stayed in Lexington with lots to do in a nice quiet neighborhood. I sent Mark a message Sunday & still haven’t heard back

The beds were nice and comfortable. Plenty of space for everyone. The location in town was perfect for our needs. Kitchen had plenty of storage and appliances. Yet the property is rough around the edges: draft under patio door made it very cold, no toilet paper holder or hand towel holder in the downstairs bathroom, leak in master closet, no exhaust fan in upstairs bathroom, light fixtures needing bulbs. Overall the DIY paint and fixes are apparent.

Visiting family for Thanksgiving. Five adults and 3 children. Nice and clean. Plenty of room for all of us. We enjoyed our stay! Thank you!

House was as advertised. Very clean and plenty of space for our guests. The bedrooms were great with plenty of bathrooms to accommodate our group. The owner was very good with his communication and I highly recommend this property.

I didn’t rate the accuracy of the online listing because I originally booked a different home but was given this one due to AC outage at the one I booked. Overall the house we did get was fine and comparable to the one I booked. The upstairs did get a little warm at night but it was tolerable. We enjoyed the fire pit in the back yard and we were able to cook and enjoy each other’s company. I would stay again if I’m in the area. Mark was very responsive and professional when called.

Very nice property, neighborhood - Overcharged Fees

The house and neighborhood were perfect in cleanliness, accommodations, and setting upon arrival. The only exception being that the steps to the front door were constructed without a handrailing - not in compliance with ADA code and would be an issue for my aging father in coming and going. I had absolutely no further complaints until I got a review and notice a week-and-a-half later notifying me that I'd be receiving the maximum possible cleaning and repair charges. I reported an issue to the owner upon noticing that the stair rail - which was mounted only into the drywall (not a wall stud, and also not built to code as it was not load bearing in anyway) that it had been pulled through when my 65year old folder used the stairs and needed the assist of the railing due to his aging knees. The owner thanked me for the notification and made no indication that it would be an issue. This, a "broken towel rack" (bathrooms had towel hooks, not racks) and an OUTLANDISH claim that "human stool" was left in the master bath jacuzzi tub all justified his maxing out of the clean-up and repairs fee. There was absolutely NO human stool left behind in a jacuzzi tub that went untouched for the entire weekend. I'm curious if VRBO has entertained this exact claim from this owner in the past. Seems like it would be quite the racket to make claims like that and increase his rental fees by the amount charged for "repairs" for every tenant.
