Joe was amazing and did his very best to be a great host. He was super responsive and was willing to try to make our stay the best possible. That being said, the property is old and run down. The renovations that have been made, are not done well. The floor in the kitchen has several “soft” spots like the floor board is rotten. The tile in the shower is all lose and if you’re not steady footed, you need to use caution. The place smells like an old house. The bed linens were fine but not what is shown in the pictures. The dishwasher was full of dishes when we got there and there were hand prints in the fridge. I did a complete kitchen clean when I arrived and wiped up tons of bugs off the door threshold. Joe did clean up the remaining bugs but they were back the next day. This shows much much better in pictures than in real life. The neighbourhood is sketchy and I definitely didn’t feel super safe there. We made the best of it, but as someone who stay in these all the time, this has been my worst experience by far. Way overpriced. I feel duped for sure.

This spot was clean and had everything 5 adults needed for a quick stay in Spokane. It was conveniently located for attending a wedding in North Spokane and everything was as described in the listing.

Joe gave me all the details and check in information well before check in time. The house was clean and had plenty of space for the three of us so would be perfect for a larger group too. Parking on the street was never an issue and there’s a park two blocks away that has great space to walk the dog or bring kids to.

We stayed at this property during Memorial day weekend. It seems to be a mix in the neighborhood where we saw young families, adults and seniors out and about. The rooms were spacious enough for my family and the living room was where my family hung out most of the time. We especially liked having access to the laundry facilities since we were there with young kids as well. We were also in town to check out a couple of universities and there all within close proximity as well as the downtown area which we explored. The owner was quick to respond about inquiries and kept in contact to make sure things are well. To help improve the quality of stay, we suggest having a couple of extra towels and blankets and bed linen in the closet. Some of my kids found it a little chilly staying in the bedroom in the basement. An additional couple of bowls will be nice too. All in all, we had a nice time staying at Joe's place. We recommend this place for it's location and affordability.
