This property was wonderful and much larger than I had expected! If you enjoy hiking and waterfalls, this really is a great location. Close enough to essential stores and ALL the teails you can ask for ☺️

There are pee stains on the carpet in both bedrooms, leaves and branches all over and covering the roof and gutters. The leaves make it slippery and get in the house. We were there for a week and al we had was 2 garbage bags, one roll of TP,,and just basic srarter supplies. Concrete floor in living room, bed in basement looks like a kidnapping movie. This could be a nice place with a little effort and clean up. It looks like a K-Mart house and could use some sprucing up.

Had a great stay at Dew Drop. It was exactly what I was looking for - a quiet place to relax. Good location at about 30min from Lake James and the Linville Gorge. The house is big with a big yard and well equiped. Because my dogs are so little I wish the grass was shorter but that didnt stop them! Thank you so much for having us!

Family stayed here for the Scream 1/2 marathon held at the Brown Mountain Beach Resort. This property was close to the event location and still close to town. We loved the secluded location. The house was cozy, clean and perfect for our stay!

We had a great time had plenty of room for the kids and ours pups love the kitchen and bathroom nice secluded area for our self would definitely recommend to any one and most likely will be back there soon.

We Absolutely loved it. Home has everything you need during your stay. If you want to cook the kitchen is well equipped. The bathroom is to die for. We’ll definitely be staying again!!!

The drive to anywhere was fantastic from this home. The town was nice and the house itself was just what we needed for our stay.

We were there over Thanksgiving and had some wonderful family time. The house was very clean and the kitchen was a good size for preparing Thanksgiving dinner. The kids enjoyed the downstairs area and the ping pong table. The location was far enough out to feel private, yet no so far away from Morganton and anything we wanted to do there.

Home just as described. Very clean. Only recommendation is providing info to visitors about the heat shut off switch off switch that looks like a light switch before they arrive. We would definitely stay again! Property managers are very responsive.

We had a very nice stay in Morganton, NC. The house is a little bit of a drive from most things but we didn't mind that at all. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to get to the closest restaurants etc. but the house is in a nice quiet area outside of town. We found the house to be very clean and very dog friendly. We would stay there again if we ever end up back in Morganton.

My mom and I were traveling with my two dogs and stayed here for 3 nights. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The place is beautiful and relaxing. The hosts offer many touches and conveniences that are very appreciated, like basic cleaning supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, dish soap, and even a basic first aid kit. The place was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the water pressure was good. We did have a few issues/items that I would have liked to know so sharing here. Overall, they did not disturb our stay more than little inconveniences/items to note. We would definitely stay here again. We had a hard time finding the place. GPS took us to the right area, but you cannot see the house from the road and there were no markings on the mailbox. Come to find out after talking with the property manager, the mailbox cover that has the number was missing and he is planning to have it replaced. It was very easy to reach the owner and property manager to get quick resolution to this. There are lots of "slip/trip" hazards. The driveway is relatively steep and gravel (and leaves due to time of year) so your footing wasn't completing solid. Most of the cement (steps/porch) are not flush with the ground. Inside the front door, there is a small step up (maybe an inch or two) in between the living room and admitted sitting area. We had no issues and never fell, but we were very cautious. We had issues with the front door lock. The first time we opened it, it worked like a charm. After that, we could never get it to work again. The owner had a work around so it was fine, but again, just annoying. I also acknowledge it could have been operator error because I wasn't familiar with the specific lock brand, but I've used electronic locks for decades and don't usually have a problem. We could not get the heat to work. After trouble with the lock, I was starting to question myself! Lol But after talking with the property manager, we found out it may have been an empty propane tank. There were tons of blankets available and a couple portable space heaters so we survived. I also didn't reach out to the property manager until we left so maybe it could have been resolved during our stay if I had. But it wasn't bad until the last morning when we woke up and it was 58° inside! Finally, there were more than a couple fruit flies even though we were very cautious to keep food wrapped up or in the fridge. I understand this is an issue in the area.

The house was great, beds were comfortable, and lots of room for the dogs.
