About this cabin rental

This beautiful modern log cabin is a perfect retreat for families, couples, or serious fishermen. Located on the upper end of the Lake of the Ozarks, the water is so smooth and quiet you will think you are on another lake. This is an ideal part of the lake for skiing, wakeboarding, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, or fishing. With a full front porch, 40-foot deck, and 3 slip dock with a large entertaining area, you won't tire of all the things you can do and enjoy, and Oh, by the way, the view and sunsets are spectacular.

6 Night stay is required for Summer Months!

For Sleeping and relaxing: The cabin has 2 bedrooms, plus a semi-private loft sleeping area. In addition, there is a queen-size sleeper sofa and a single futon. Each sleeping area (3) has its own remote-controlled heating and cooling unit, as well as a unit in the main dining/living area. There is high-speed Wi-Fi and a 50-inch TV. (Wi-Fi calling works great and is needed in this area as the cabin is off the cellular grid.)

For Swimming, Sunbathing, and Outdoor Dining: The dock has a large entertaining area with 4 chaise lounges and a large swim platform with a dock ladder. The 12x40 Deck has a patio table and 7 chairs.

For Fishing: The cabin sits on a 1 1/2-mile-deep cove, and the main channel is home to some of the best Spoonbill fishing in the world. The dock provides a great place to fish.

Kayaking - one kayak is included.

For Boating: The dock has two 10x24 boat slips which are included in the price of your rental. Wigwam School Access is a Conservation Dept. Boat ramp that is about 3 minutes away by boat and a 20-minute drive by road. https://mdc.mo.gov/discover-nature/places/wigwam-school-access The Hiawatha Beach Resort marina is directly across the cove and a convenient place to buy ice and boat gas.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Brad was very easy to communicate with and quickly responded to any questions/concerns. Our family of 8 fit snuggly but nicely with each of our kids sharing a bed. The beds were very comfortable! The cabin had everything you could think of needing from, sugar to laundry machines to a kayak and lily pad for the kids to use. We brought everything we'd need but when in the moments where we realized we should have brought something and didn't, Brad had it. Might have been nice to have one more seating option in the living room as only 6 of us had a spot to sit. The kids loved the spiral staircase and swimming off of the dock which is where they spent most of their time. The kayak gave us the opportunity to explore the cove looking for turtles and other wildlife. We loved the quiet of this end of the lake. We loved exploring the lake but coming back to our quiet area was priceless. The only issues to report were that there was a problem with mud dauber wasps getting in at the top window. We had 8 or 9 in the house at one point. We just got used to them, but there was likely a nest under the outdoor stairs because 4 of us were stung. A couple of the kids multiple times. And there was a resident outdoor cat on the property that our kids lovingly named Jasper. He wasn't too much of a nuisance but we did have a little trouble using the grill because he would beg for food. Overall, we had a nice trip and would be back! Thanks Brad!

The house was very nice. The cove was quiet and calm. Didn’t catch any fish but the family enjoyed everything else! Just needs a fire pit for s’mores, dressers to put clothes in and a couple more end tables in the front room and porch to put your drinks on. Everything is just as the pics show and everything was supplied, including some swim toys! Very nice and the owners were nice! The roads are a little narrow and scary but didn’t need to go too far once we got there!

The home was perfect. The road however took me 5 attempts to get up the hill. If you do not have 4 wheel drive this is extremely difficult. The owner was super responsive besides the road everything was perfect and our family had an amazing time.

Great cabin for front-porch-sitting just soaking up the view or for having fun in the sun and water! The big deck right on the water is brilliant! The dock is well kept & has a nice swim deck. (Something to keep in mind if you are physically challenged, the steps down to the deck & dock are very steep. ) The kitchen is well stocked & the owner is generous with supplies. The beds are not overly comfortable though. One word of caution, if your car sits low to the ground, Lake Forest Estates Rd has steep hills and is fairly rough. Also, there’s a doozy of a speed bump when you first turn onto it. Overall, this cabin sits in a quiet little piece of paradise! Even on a holiday weekend, it was still very peaceful. Would definitely consider staying here again!

The house was perfect for our fishing trip. Very comfortable and all the conveniences of home. Everything from beds to comfy chairs to the kitchen was great. Wonderful view from the back deck with wonderful sunsets and busy hummingbirds. The boat dock was more than adequate and we caught many fish from there. We would love to return! Very beautiful property. House was stocked with everything you would probably need for a stay. Peaceful outdoor areas to sit and relax. Very nice dock to house the boat during our stay. Road and driveway was quite steep and narrow. It was difficult to manage with our boat on, but, if we would have thought to put in at the Marina across the cove prior to accessing the house, we would have gotten along just fine. :) Really enjoyed our stay!! Would recommend to others for sure!

We had a great time at your cabin, and would love to come back when the weather was warmer. We did some fishing from the dock, and even though we didn't catch anything, had a great time enjoying the quiet out on the dock. We had plenty of fun exploring the area, and having some fires at night when it got really cold. Thanks so much for allowing us to spend our Christmas at your cabin. It made for a great Christmas vacation.

We brought our Sea-Doo, so having a dock right at the cabin was very convenient. Fun all day on the water, followed by a relaxing night in the cabin. Having a BBQ on the deck, watching the sunset in the rocking chairs, and enjoying the beautiful cabin...what more can you ask for! This is definitely a place we would stay at again.

Nice cabin on a quiet cove

We enjoyed our stay in this cabin in a quiet cove. The cabin is beautiful and well equipped with everything you need for a fun and relaxing stay. We slept well in the comfortable beds. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare meals, plus a gas grill on the porch. Breakfast was enjoyed on the porch with not only a view of the lake but frequent visitors to the hummingbird feeder. Much time was spent on the large dock, fishing, swimming and lounging in the deck chairs. Evenings were enjoyed in the spacious and comfortable living area, with games and large tv with several viewing options. Can't wait for next time!
