The house was clean and in a great location for access to restaurants and shops in East Village. The layout of the house is a bit odd. One bathroom for the three bedrooms upstairs. One bathroom for the main floor bedroom and living area. The main floor bathroom is off the kitchen. The floors are uneven and the steps are small. I would not recommend this house to anyone that has difficulty walking. The front door is not useable. The shower/tub could use anti-slip strips. Would I stay here again, yes.

We left a message at the house. Everything was in place as expected, and the flood did not end up causing any problem. Weather also was great.
A couple of us do not walk well but there were not so many steps that we had any trouble. One of us smoked a pipe but never smoked in the house.
Younger ones enjoyed East Village and we all enjoyed seeing the river.

The property was nicely redone inside and well stocked with what we needed. We stayed here with my 81 year old parents and I'm glad there was a downstairs bedroom because they would have struggled with the stairs to upstairs. My only concern for them was the sidewalk down to the house as it was narrow and a little uneven, but they did ok.

We were in town for our daughter’s pinning ceremony at St Ambrose so we weren’t at the rental much. It worked good for our family. Maybe I misssed it in the description, but the house sets up on a hill and there are some slopes going to the property and the stairs are a little steep. My mother usually doesn’t do steep things well since her knee replacement but she still did okay. He was great to work with and was very accommodating with anything we neeeded!!!

We were in town for state bowling and this was a great place for my friends and I to stay! We were able to walk down to see the East Village and river. The host was on top of messages and questions that I had. Overall it was a great place to stay!

I’ll preface this with this was my first time to the area. I did not know what to expect. This house was in east village which I imagine is pretty busy in the summer with the river and ball field being so close. The houses in this area are old and this particular house was very clean but it was an awkward layout. Stairs were narrow, floors uneven and makeshift rooms, which is typically of an older house that has had several remodels. I don’t like feeling like I am staying at a strangers home when I reserve houses and that is what I felt like here. The bedding and towels felt used and worn. Beds were uncomfortable. They had shampoo and body wash in the showers which was fine, but I am used to unused supplies. Overall It was very clean and a very nice host.

Loved this location for walking distance to coffee and restaurants. Peter was easy to communicate with.

This property was perfect for a family reunion to celebrate our newest addition. We had a great time and the set up was perfect with baby and parents in the first floor bedroom and the other adults upstairs. We enjoyed the big kitchen and other meeting areas and the location was great for everyone. We were very comfortable.

The house was immaculate and the perfect location for a 50th birthday weekend away with friends/family! It's walking distance to East Village that has cute shops and fun bars and a 7 minute drive to Davenport where there is so much to do. The owner, Pete, was great with communication and provided everything we needed and more!

Three friends and I stayed here to attend an Augustana reunion. The house was plenty big, clean, and included many typical VRBO amenities (shampoo, coffee, laundry, etc). When splitting the cost, our stay was MUCH cheaper than a hotel, and much more comfortable. Plus, it allowed us time to visit together instead of retiring to our individual hotel rooms. We all agreed we would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time. Came into town for a wedding. Would recommend to anyone. One item of note: the stairs are a little steep for older people over 60.

We recently stayed at this wonderful 4-bedroom home in Davenport, Iowa for a golf trip with a group of 5 guys, and it couldn't have been more perfect for our needs.
The spacious layout easily accommodated all of us with plenty of room to spare. With 6 comfortable beds and 2 full bathrooms, there was never any crowding, and getting ready for our early tee times was a breeze.
The living area was inviting and perfect for relaxing after a day on the greens. The well-equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare hearty breakfasts before heading out.
The location of the home was ideal for our golfing adventure. It was conveniently situated near some fantastic courses (25min from Fyre Lake and 17min from TPC Deere Run) making it easy for us to get to and from our games.
We also appreciated the host's attention to detail. They made the whole booking process and our stay stress-free.
However, it's worth noting that there were a couple of minor drawbacks. One night, we did experience some noise from nearby bars with live music, which could be a bit disruptive if you're a light sleeper. Additionally, there was a train that passed by three times a night, and the horn was quite audible, which may also affect your sleep quality.
Despite these noise concerns, this home in Davenport still served as a great base for our golf trip. We had an unforgettable time.

Perfect location as home base for venturing out in eastern Iowa. Great that host supplied coffee and fixings, shampoo, soap, dish soap, and paper towels. Kitchen well stocked with utensils, pots and pans. Big house. We only used the downstairs for the 2 of us but will sleep many more. Host answers questions quickly. Appreciate his promptness. Nice to have a washer and dryer. Great electronic door access.

There were 8 of us that stayd there. It was a perfect size. 25 min to 2 very good golf courses and the local municipal golf course is 5 min. The casino was 10 min away. We grilled 2 nights and walked to a Restaurant for our third meal.
Great host. Answered all of my questions timely, was very accommodating, and had enough of everything!
We will be staying here again.

House built in 1900. Many add ons and modern fixtures. Comfortable beds. Safe, secure home. Fun place to stay!

This house was perfect for our needs. Great location, plenty of room and very clean. The host is very accommodating and friendly.
My family and I really enjoyed staying here. There was plenty of room for the four of us and could have easily accommodated more people. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a wedding on St. Ambrose campus so this was the perfect house for the family. Hotels are difficult with small children.
Very comfortable space.

Cute old house in Davenport. Entrance is through the yard, but the path is well lit. We were out most of the time, but this worked great for our stay. Host provided very clear information and the house is well stocked.
Only addition would be more mirrors, especially full length as we were getting ready for a wedding.

The house was perfect for our group. Check in and out was super easy. The communication with the host was prompt and friendly. We enjoyed our stay!

This property was perfect for us! We were in town for a dance competition and had family make the drive to be there as well. There was plenty of room for all of us. The large dining table was great as well to allow us a place to visit and play games!
Owner also was able to get a grill on the property for us to grill out! The effort to get it done it time and delivered was very much appreciated!!

The house is as advertised. The location is wonderful. It is within 10 minutes of everything. It is also within walking distance of shopping and bars and food.

Nice, clean property in a great area! We came into town for a conference. This house was a great place to unwind after a long day.

House was clean, conveniently furnished and cozy. Everything that you need for cooking basic meals is supplied (bring your own food).

We found this property to be just what we were looking for. Close to venue, plenty of space for all of us. Older home but very clean. We enjoyed being able to cook in a clean kitchen and relax between games. Definitely would stay again…

The property was exactly what we needed for a group of 5 employees in Davenport for work. The stay was cut short due to weather and the need to get employees home for the holidays. The property manager was extremely understanding with our situation, and was willing to remove the 2 days from our stay we didn't use...yet. We will definitely be reaching out when we go back to complete our project.

Was a great place to stay. Train and some car noises at night. Stairway to second floor a little challenging for larger suitcases. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a small house with bathroom space for a group.

The house served our purposes for a family gathering. And is located in a beautiful neighborhood.

This was a great property for what we needed it for. Four friends from a nearby college all came back for homecoming and the house worked well for us. We didn’t access the downtown nearby but it would have been an easy walk. The property was clean and we each had our own bedroom. The stairs are steep so be aware of that and the layout is a bit odd but other than that we were very happy with it. Check in and check out was very easy too!

We were close to our event.
The community was very interesting and a pleasant surprise. The river was very close. The price was right.

The place was clean. Had everything we needed and close to everything. Older home, as most In the area but clean and very nicely remodeled. Stairs are a bit steep.

Enjoyed our location very close to the east village in Davenport. And the bike trail along the Mississippi River.
Thank goodness we were all in fairly decent shape. The home is located on a hill coming out of the river. There are stairs.
Home had everything we needed. Thanks for letting us stay

I stayed for 1 month while working remote and visiting family in the area. Overall, a pleasant stay that I would recommend for shorter visits.
PROS: owner was very friendly and prompt in communication. The location is close to downtown Davenport and surrounding areas, walking distance to stroll along Mississippi River, restaurants, etc. The house has Midwest charm and has plenty of space for multiple travelers.
CONS: the house is very old (likely built in the early 20th century) so there are creaky stairs and some sloped floors. It is freshly painted and clean, with modern furnishings. It is missing a few amenities that would add more comfort to a long stay (ex. no dishwasher or garbage disposal in the kitchen and there are still concrete floors in downstairs bathroom and kitchen). The neighborhood is a bit weathered.

This is the first property I've rented in the MidWest (have previously rented up and down the West Coast) and it was very pleasant. The house was clean and there were ample sleeping arrangements. Also, plenty of parking space. The house rules were very straight-forward and the internet/TV was easy to access.
Overall, my friends and I really enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend it others!
