One of two similar second floor apartments that could be rented together if available.
Steps from some of the areas best restaurants, bars, shops and The Grand theater. Downtown restaurants within a short walking distance include the highly rated Provender Kitchen, Finns Irish Pub, Airline Brewing, Fogtown Beer Garden, Margaritas, Union River Lobster House and Serendib. John Edwards Market is just a block away for a great assortment of wine and cheeses as well as grocery needs. Downtown has become known in the area for its eclectic mix of shops with something for everyone. Walking distance to the harbor and library. Downtown Ellsworth is conveniently located in the center of the areas best attractions such as Acadia National Park, Schoodic Point, Bar Harbor, Blue Hill, Lamoine and Surry to name a few.
Although there is not a private parking spot the building has public lots on both sides. The main lot is located directly in front of city hall, police and fire making its location extremely safe. EV parking and charging is approximately 500 ft.

Beautiful rental! Great location for all the things we wanted to do in Maine. Linda was great and very responsive. We loved the decor and had everything we needed! Highly recommend

We had a wonderful stay at Linda's apartment! The decor is modern and cozy with lots of light. There were several extra touches like spacious closets with lots of hangers, ample storage space, USB ports in the nightstands and plenty of bath linens. Both the sofa and bed were quite comfortable. The location was perfect- several great restaurants, bars and shops were right on the same street.The location is an easy drive to Acadia, Bangor or Bar Harbor too, making it the perfect "home base" for our travels. We found on-street parking and the area was quiet and felt very safe. The best part was that Linda recognized that we were on vacation and didn't ask anything of us at checkout! I highly recommend this apartment for your stay.

This apartment was roomier than the pictures and I felt I was at home. Very comfortable and clean, it worked well for our stay. It doesn't have a view but we got a kick out of watching the squirrels run across the electric lines-we weren't there for a view. The downtown area was very nice, but not a late night life for the time we were there. Would definitely recommend this place unless you have issues with stairs. The owners were wonderful and very responsive when we had questions. Overal fun and comfy stay!

My wife and I stayed here while visiting Acadia National Park. When researching vacation rentals, we weren't sure what area to stay in, but we were so glad we chose Ellsworth instead of Bar Harbor! Bar Harbor was so crowded and busy, which we didn't like. Plus the places to stay looked either dated or very expensive. Ellsworth was close enough to be a short drive to Acadia, but far enough away to be much more laid back. Plus, the location of this apartment in downtown Ellsworth was perfect! There are lots of shops and restaurants within a couple blocks walking distance, and it was a nice way to unwind after a busy day of exploring Acadia.
The apartment itself was great, in a cool historic building but totally updated and modern inside. The bed was comfortable and it was nice to have both air conditioning in the apartment and a ceiling fan in the bedroom. We would absolutely stay here again if we ever go back to the area.

We enjoyed our visit with our 86 year old dad. Our visit was a family reunion with our dad, uncle and aunt from Florida and cousins who all live in the Ellsworth, Trenton and Bar Harbor area. The apartment was perfect. Clean quiet and updated. Above a children’s store with hours of 10-5. Very quiet overnight and morning. Would definitely stay again

My wife and i have been vacationing in the Ellsworth area for several years and decided to try this apartment out given location and amenities within walking distance. We could not have been happier with our choice. If you are looking for a location that offers a central point to travel around to the various parks and towns bear by, this is the place for you! Ellsworth is an excellent town full of local shops, restaurants, brewery and brew pubs, and offers easy parking just a block away. I even patked the car right outside of the apartment after 5pm so we could just jump on and go. Linda and Hans were awesome with communication and response. The apartment is spacious and beautifully decorated with everything you need! We will definitely look to stay there again!

This was our first time to visit Maine and staying in Ellsworth worked out very well for us. We discovered the convenience of the free bus service to Bar Harbor and Acadia, but could retreat to Ellsworth to recharge our batteries. Loved this VRBO and loved Ellsworth!

The apartment is in a great area of Ellsworth and there are so many shops, restaurants and bars to walk to. The apartment was very clean and nicely decorated and the hosts were very easy to book with. If I am back in the area, I will definitely stay here again.

Perfect stay for anyone with allergies and asthma. Finding an away stay is a real health challenge. Linda and Hans truly understand that here with a clean, easy to care for rental and attention to avoiding allergy triggers for us. Going so far as to wash bedding and towels in allergy free detergent and no perfumes - Thank You! There is no mold or weird old house odors (that i struggle with other rentals). Location was sweet on Main Street and convenient to driving to Bar Harbour, College of the Atlantic, Acadia... Hans and Linda are responsive and communicate well. Definitely staying there again.

We wanted to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary in Bar Harbor but didn’t want to fight the crowds so we chose Ellsworth and found Linda and Hans’s gorgeous apartment. It is beautifully decorated, so clean, and so comfortable!! Don’t pass this one up!! Ellsworth has everything you need and Bar Harbor is an easy 20-minute drive away! Perfect all around!!

We had a great stay here in Ellsworth! There were several options in town for food/drinks which were walkable but we spent most of our time in Bar Harbor since we were there to see Acadia. 30 minute drive ( + or - ) depending which part you wanted to go to which was super doable! The apartment was clean, cozy, and spacious with everything we needed. Perfect place to stay when visiting the area, would highly recommend!

My wife and I stayed in Ellsworth so that we could enjoy Acadia and the Schoodic and we were delighted with this apartment. The accommodations in Bar Harbor didn't look like quite as good a value, so we decided to stay here and we're so glad we did! The apartment is super clean, well-appointed, and decorated so nicely. The best part to me is that it's right in the middle of Ellsworth, so you can pop out the door and be right in the middle of a charming downtown area with nice shops and restaurants. The ride into Bar Harbor/Acadia is about a half hour, which isn't bad at all (but it does get traffic-y between 5:00 and 6:00 pm). It's about the same to get to the Schoodic, which is also a great place to go. We had a little trouble with the keypad lock and gave Hans a call and he came right in to fix things up.
Bottom line: A super-clean delightful apartment with responsive hosts in an adorable town not far from Acadia and the Schoodic. What more could you ask for? Would definitely stay here again.

A little hideaway and is BEAUTIFULLY decorated, full kitchen with all you need for cooking and very quiet although in the middle of Ellsworth downtown.
I recommend the place but just realize you have a drive to the park but it is convenient for traveling to other wonderful places like Schoodic Point and Corea.
We came to see Acadia National Park and thought it would be closer since it is only ~15 miles but the road going to the park is VERY crowded and it takes 30-45 min to get to the park or Bar Harbor during the traffic in the summer.
Still it is a LOVELY place and definitely worth considering.
One other note, there is not a washer and dryer, we didn't need it while there for 4 days but if you stay longer, just wanted to share for information.

It is centrally located in Ellsworth and about a 30-40 minute drive from Acadia National Park - great spot to see everything but still be able to have a quite night away when needed. Apartment was well designed and comfortable - we would stay again if we're ever back in Maine!

This was an outstanding place to stay. It was super clean and comfortable. After long days of hiking in Acadia, it was the perfect place to relax. Ellsworth is a nice little town and you can experience all of it easily by staying here. Linda was really responsive to any of our questions. I would definitely stay here in the future.

This apartment was super adorable and close to many restaurants, bars, and shopping. With traffic, a 30 to 40 min drive to Acadia/Bar Harbor. Apartment was very clean. Communication with the owners was superb as we had a few questions and needed to rely info a few times during our trip. I would highly recommend staying here as it was far enough from the crowds but close to many attractions.

This apartment was a great place to stay for exploring much of the Maine coast and Acadia National Park. The apartment was impeccably clean, communication with the property manager was prompt and clear, and the apartment provided everything we needed and more. We loved the location of the apartment. Situated above a business on Ellsworth's Main Street, we were within steps of restaurants and shops. Despite the central location, it was incredibly quiet. As for Acadia: We loved staying in Ellsworth, as opposed to Bar Harbor. Bar Harbor was overcrowded with tourists--everywhere. Ellsworth was a normal, pleasant, lovely town with everything one could want, and NOT overrun with tourists. We would stay here again with no hesitation, and highly recommend this lovely apartment.

NOTE* If you book the property through Vrbo make sure you select the insurance setting you actually want. Between booking through Vrbo or Expedia, one of the options either doesn't make it obvious or just doesn't tell you when it automatically charges you a huge security deposit! We would've preferred the other option which was like a non-refundable insurance policy but for much less. But Linda released the deposit as soon as we checked out.
Anyways... I stayed at Linda and Hans's property for 3 nights with my boyfriend early October to catch some fall foliage in Acadia. I cannot recommend this property enough! The place was extremely clean, organized, and looked exactly as the photos showed. A night or so before our stay, Linda followed up with us on Vrbo to message us the property details and how to access the unit. We had some trouble getting in but when I called Linda, she picked up right away even though it was late (10ish) and we were inside within 2 minutes.
You can tell that they put a lot of work and thought into prepping the place and it was as good as, if not better, than a hotel! All of our needs were accommodated for. My favorite part was the Tupperware!! I hadn't even considered that aspect of our trip but we ended up using at least half of the Tupperware provided for meal leftovers and most importantly, hiking snacks! So that was a detail that was greatly appreciated and overlooked in my own planning. Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

The perfect basecamp for exploring Acadia away from the crowds. The apartment is beautifully renovated and immaculately clean. Everything you need to cook and relax is included (+ some snacks and a few Keurig coffee cups for your first morning). I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We chose this town and property for its proximity to Bar Harbor (and relative affordability compared to BH) and that rather random choice was the BEST decision ever. Ellsworth is quaint and welcoming, and the apartment was perfect: very roomy, sophisticated, clean and new... The full kitchen is a plus (we didn't cook much, but...) and the bed was comfortable as well. The location is ideal for wandering south, basically positioned about 30 minutes from all of the attractions we were after (besides just enjoying Ellsworth, that is): Southwest Harbor, Bass Harbor, Winter Harbor-- and all things Acadia National Park.

We had an incredible stay at Linda's apartment. It is well appointed, incredibly clean and a brand new remodel. We'd give a 6th star if we could! The location is great as well - close to Acadia, but also other locations of interest like Camden and Rockland. Linda is very friendly and responsive. Well worth it and I highly recommend. We'll stay again next time we're in the area!

This was our favorite VRBO property ever! The hosts are very detail oriented. We loved the small touches and the fact the place was so clean. We spent a lot of time in Acadia and the property is about 20 minutes away. It was nice to get out of the busy/touristy Bar Harbor to come back to Ellsworth (which is a cute town with good stores and restaurants). We highly recommend this property and would love to stay again.
