About this house rental
Come stay at "The Lodge". This home was recently renovated and themed after a Safari Lodge. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms along with a covered patio and a private screened in pool. The home sits on over an acre and has a private firepit area and a sitting area overlooking the fenced in back yard. There is a ping pong table and several bikes that can be used for the nearby bike trails or to ride downtown. The property sits near a city park, dog park and walking trails.

The Lodge is a nice home in a very quiet neighborhood on amazing property! It’s three bedrooms two baths, but you should be aware that the second bathroom is outside in the garage area. The kitchen was well equipped. Nice small dining area. The living room was large and had a leather sofa and loveseat. They are quite old and worn and a bit difficult for us to feel comfortable when sitting and trying to get up from such a low couch! (I would respectfully suggest upgrading that furniture very soon.) In contrast, the bed in the main bedroom was so high, that I needed a stepstool to get up into the bed! But once I got up there, it was very comfortable. Great closet space throughout with plenty of hangers. The main bathroom was small – very little counterspace for toiletries, but it was very clean and nice. The pool area is fantastic! Good size swimming pool that we enjoyed night and day. Really appreciated that. The AC worked great with ceiling fans in all the rooms. Great TVs in all the rooms. And the grounds of the house are wonderful – fruit trees, palm trees & flowers, & a tiki hut with deck overlooking little Lake Franklin. A really special place. Mount Dora itself is just beautiful and we look forward to coming back to both the house and the sweet town.

Great quiet neighborhood for peaceful getaway. Close enough to downtown. House was great, pool was perfect with very large covered porch. Would definitely stay there again.

This place was absolutely wonderful!!! It was close to everything. Took 40 minutes to Disney Springs. The house was beautiful and had everything! We were able to grill the last night for family. The pool was great as well. We will def. Be back!!!

This rental was perfect for my family and infant granddaughter. Came to Mount Dora to see my granddaughter graduate from the high school. We didn't realize when we rented the house, we were able to walk to the graduation.
Steve is a great host. He replied to my messages promptly.

We rented the house for 25 days. We liked the location and had a blast getting to know the Lake County area. Steve and Amy were super responsive and wonderful to work with. I highly recommend staying here.

For my Christmas present I wanted all my kids together and this was the perfect house we were able to bring the dog and walk/drive or bike to the down town area where the Christmas lights were absolutely amazing. It was too cold to go swimming but it was there if we wanted to use it. We were very comfortable. Our family had a ping pong tournament and of course their dad shamed all of them and it was so fun. It was a fantastic weekend getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay at the house. It was super clean and convenient. We enjoyed having a pool as well although the weather didn’t cooperate all weekend. The only negative was a lack of a third bathroom. Otherwise, it is highly recommended.

This house was perfect for our stay to visit our family in Mt. Dora. We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The pool was perfect and we were in it daily. The owner was very quick to respond and took care of anything that was needed. The property is expansive if you have the whole place. We truly appreciated the house. The second bathroom is out in the garage area but it really wasn't an inconvenience to us at all. Thank you for a great second half of our vacation.

Everything was great. The pool was wonderful after all the walking we did. Even though we had a rainy week, the house was so close to everything we were able to do quick drips around town and avoid most of the weather.

Had a great time, the location was perfect and close to downtown, restaurants and family that we were visiting. The neighborhood was quiet, and the pool area was relaxing. The house had all the amenities that we needed and was very clean. The mattress was amazing, better than ours at home. Will definitely come back.

This property was great! It was like our own little oasis. We enjoyed the pool while the puppers enjoyed the yard. Steve was very responsive and ensured our stay was great!! He and Amy thought of everything, I mean everything! You can literally come to this house with just your clothes and everything else that you need is here for you. The beds were very comfy, which is a rare find in our travels. We would definitely stay again!!!😊

My husband and I stayed at The Lodge while we attended a car show in the area. We were so glad we stayed here rather than a local hotel.
The Lodge has been renovated and decorated beautifully with fun touches everywhere. It was immaculately clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The bedroom we used had a comfortable mattress which is always important to us.
The property is close to downtown Mt. Dora but in a neighborhood that is out of the way of traffic and very quiet.
We would definitely recommend staying at The Lodge!

Had a wonderful 2 weeks. The screen in porch and pool area worked out wonderful for party. The use of the full property was beautiful. Bikes were fun. Beds comfortable. Couple suggestions. There was limited seating in living room and dining table for 6 people. Directions for TV control would be helpful. Could use a few more pots and pans for people that cook there.

Volleyball Trip
We frequently travel to Tavares for volleyball with our daughter. House was perfect and our daughter loved cooking off in the pool after. Close to everything in Mt Dora and close to the Hickory Point volleyball courts. Will stay again for future trips.

This home was very clean and tastefully decorated. It included all of the essentials and everything worked as it should. Our kids really enjoyed the spacious pool and bikes that were provided. The neighborhood was very peaceful and quiet. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.
