High Country Lodge is the newest and largest edition to the Wintergreen Retreat portfolio of fine mountain homes. You will be impressed with the large open floor plan and thoughtfully curated décor throughout the home. The new owners have meticulously remodeled this house with attention to details, so you can be assured of a comfortable stay with quality furnishings and accessories.
The main level includes the soaring, light filled Great Room with cathedral ceiling & stone fireplace, multiple sitting areas and a impressive game room complete with a pool table and bar.
The upper level has the master suite with a King bed and sitting area, and a second bedroom with Queen bed.
The lower level has 4 bedrooms, including a large kid’s room complete with Video arcade and large screen TV for gaming/streaming.

Overall, my group of eight had a good stay at this property. The house is open and well lit. However, we were disappointed when we found that the deck was covered with tree limbs and decaying piles of leaves. We spent our first hour at the house sweeping and clearing the deck. Also, the Internet speed was so slow that movies and sports on the TV continually blacked out and displayed a "buffering" message. After numerous attempts and efforts, we finally gave up. The Wi-Fi speed issues also caused problems with texting and sending pictures from our phones. Finally, there were some minor issues with deferred maintenance that can easily be remedied.

Family gathered together to celebrate a college graduation. It was the perfect place to accommodate such a large group of people. The owner was great and very hospitable. I highly recommend this property for large groups, it has plenty of space and all the necessities.

The host was incredibly accommodating and everything was so seamless! The house is beautiful with gorgeous views and so close to the Wintergreen ski mountain! It was a wonderful experience and we can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful stay for our Christmas trip! Great location & easy communication with the host. The space was just what we needed for adults and children. The only downside was that several of our guests experienced allergies on the 1st floor to where some slept on the couch on the 2nd floor the rest of the stay. Unsure if the air filters have been changed or if it needs some vacuuming. Couple of the beds on the first floor are also tilted. Nonetheless, we still had a great time!

It was a wonderful weekend with our family. The house is perfectly sized for large family with children. Modern clean all utensils cooking supplies dishes. The views through the glass big glass windows were amazing. Rooms were comfortable separated for privacy. The bar room was excellent for entertainment. Record player was awesome to bring back memories for our younger generation. Lots of fun lots of supply of wood house was clean and easy access for skiing and or tubing and thank you so much for the bottle of wine.

The house and fall views were amazing! 12 guys for a golf weekend and everyone enjoyed themselves! Thanks for the stayover and we will be back!

The house is filled with natural light and beautiful views from numerous decks! The pool table room was a perfect gaming area for our Derby Race Game. Being on the same floor as the living area left lots of different conversational areas for fun smaller groups. Just needed more dining space.

At check in, some areas were not adequatly cleeaned (kitchen drawers & floor) Otherwise excellent for 14 people, 6 adults & 6 children ages 13 to 5.

This is a great house for a large group. We had +20 and plenty of room for all to gather and separate as desired. The bunk room was great for the kids to pile in and we had to monitor the adults to keep them off the arcade machine :). Pool table area was a hit and we almost stole the lounge chairs in the 4 place 'coffee' area they were so comfortable. We will be back!

The house is incredible! The owners have done a great job in the decor, really has an upscale, modern meets rustic feel. There was plenty of space, both inside the house and for parking. The lower-level bunk room was perfect for entertaining the kids. Nathan was also very helpful in answering our questions prior to arrival. We will certainly return!

Excellent home. Plenty of room for individual activities and also large areas for meals and whole family activity. Pool table and very large TV are very nice. Cable system and tv s did not work properly . Called for help , but ended up subscribing for YTUBE for a month so we could watch world soccer etc.

We had 15 ladies in total join us at Wintergreen Retreat for a bachelorette party. The house was incredible and really made the trip extra special. Be warned that it is a bit further out, but was incredible for such a large group. Would totally stay again!

Six months ago me and my friend group of 25 plus years decided to throw a reunion. After an arduous online search we finally found the perfect spot to house 25 to 30 rowdy middle age art friends for food, fellowship and karaoke. Every single person that walked through the door was amazed at how absolutely stunning the property was. It was probably the first event I have ever thrown (and I have thrown a lot of events over the years) where I didn't get even one complaint. The property was clean, spacious and well maintained. This house was awesome, we didnt want to leave. It has all the amenities you need, lots of space, great for children. Everyone had a great time, was comfortable, and was happy we stayed there. I would definitely rent again.
