About this apartment rental

LOCATION!!! Just a 5-10 min walk to breweries, restaurants, shopping and outdoor activities. An easy 15 min drive to downtown Denver, 10 min drive to Red Rocks Amphitheater, and a little over an hour to a number of ski areas. You won't find a better location. Private, quiet setting in a detached garage carriage house unit, yet close to everything.

A great bed is everything! This spacious, vaulted, open layout studio is furnished with a newer king-sized Nectar mattress. The love seat folds flat for an additional person/child if needed (additional linen cleaning cost of 25$, let me know ahead of time for linens) A full kitchen with new appliances and full-size laundry. Private south-facing balcony can be utilized throughout the winter with beautiful views of Lookout and South Table Mountains. Super clean and comfortable. I enjoy providing all of the items guests might miss from home: slippers, cozy blankets, electric water kettle with a selection of teas, a magnifying mirror, hair dryer, common medications, and small fans/charging stations on either side of the bed.
I love to offer my guests a local experience with the best info on breweries, restaurants, ski discounts, info on access to cruiser bikes, tubes to float in the creek, hiking trails, and nearby rock-climbing. Please feel free to call me to discuss your needs.

I have lived in Colorado for over 30 years - starting out on Winter Park Ski Patrol for 6 years, then working as a firefighter for the past 23 years. I have adventured all over Colorado, and am happy to offer any suggestions on local secrets! I want to help make your stay as memorable as I can. If you appreciate these extras, please help me out with a good review :) Also, feel free to help me keep me by leaving the unit on the cleaner side and allowing time to wash all linens for the next guest by starting laundry and dishwasher. I go above and beyond for my guests when possible, so there is no charge beyond covering the cost of the purchased items you might need. Just let me know!

I am asked very often about early check in, I try hard to accommodate this convenience for my guests but if you're requesting more than a couple hours I will kindly ask an additional fee to adjust the clean for this request.

Location location! Loved our stay in Golden! Close to downtown, restaurants and shops! Hiking trails and creek close by. Responsive and reliable host. Highly recommend!

Loved it! Quiet and nice walk to the center. Host gave great directions but we used Waze, but she mentions Google maps and that is the GPS that will get you there!

I really enjoyed this studio. It is an easy walk to all of Golden’s best attractions in town. The accommodations were very complete and comfortable. Excellent communication from the host.

Such a pleasant change from the hotel we usually stay at in Golden. The Blue Goat was charming, spacious and clean. We wanted for nothing, as Jan had managed to provide everything needed for a comfortable cozy stay..without the loft feeling cluttered which isn’t easy! The bed is realllly comfortable as well! Would definitely stay again and highly recommend. My only complaint would be the bunnies that everyone got to see were absent this time..might I suggest some sort of petting zoo in that big backyard?? Haha!! Loved our stay and Jan was really pleasant❤️

Very cozy, comfortable apt. in cool Golden neighborhood. Loved that it is just a short walk to Clear Creek pathway. Only complaint: weak wifi connection. Everything else...great!

I cannot say enough good things about "The Blue Goat"! First, Jan is an amazing host and so kind! And she goes well beyond expectations to make sure her place is comfortable for her guest. Also, the location was incredible with just a brief walk to coffee shops, breweries, and all of downtown Golden! So much better than staying in a hotel room. We felt like we really got the full mountain town experience. Perfect spot for a couples get away!

This place is the cutest! It is incredibly clean and well thought out, and includes everything one could want or need. Appliances are new and modern and the property perfectly maintained. The location is quiet and private, but close enough to down town. We enjoyed coffee on the patio overlooking a private back yard area. The host was helpful and responsive. I highly recommend it for a single person or couple and hope to stay again.

Such a great location when visiting Golden. Walkable to town and a short drive from many other spots you will want to visit. This studio was perfectly equipped for our long weekend visit.

The apartment was everything we needed. There is a very comfortable king size bed and a great bathroom and shower. The owner provided all the little extras you might need from shampoo to tea. Contacted the owner one time and response time was almost immediate. Walk to town is only a few minutes and there are wonderful walking paths right outside your door. Loved our stay and would recommend if you are in the Golden area.

Our stay at Jan’s studio was absolutely perfect! The studio is super cozy and comfortable with all the amenities of home. The location can’t be beat and is in walking distance to so much! I hope to stay here again! Highly recommend!!!

Jan's rental, which she calls The Blue Goat, was a gem! Great location (near our daughter, close to shopping and other activities), adorable studio space with a wonderful bathroom, outside deck to eat on, well supplied kitchen and comfy bed. Overall, The Blue Goat was cozy and private - perfect for our stay in Golden.

This was an immaculate private garage apartment with a lovely little balcony overlooking the backyard. The entrance was private and the owner responsive but not intrusive. The interior layout was beautifully done giving a feel of spaciousness and the kitchen top notch.

Loved it. Spent three nights here, the middle of July. Jan was helpful throughout the process. The apartment has everything you could possibly need, and then some. It's close to everything in Golden, in a quiet neighborhood, and a welcoming place at the end of the day. I use VRBO frequently and to me, this one is the best!

This rental was an absolutely perfect fit for my son and I. We were in town to visit several perspective Colleges and see a concert at the RedRocks Amphitheater. It was extremely clean and Jan couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. I highly recommend a stay here while taking in the sites of Colorado. If my son decides to go to college in Colorado we will be staying here again.

This was our second stay at the Blue Goat, and it was just as wonderful as our first! Jan is such a kind and friendly host who has thought of every detail to make her guests feel at home. We absolutely fell in love with this apartment! The space itself is perfect for 2 people. Jan has thought of everything and there are so many small details that everytime we thought we needed something we found it in a drawer or cupboard. The location was amazing, walking distance to all of Golden. We loved walking every morning to get coffee (Pangaea was our favorite) and strolling the river walk. You have quick access to the highways, so Denver or the mountains are just a quick 20 minute drive. We will absolutely be staying at the Blue Goat for future Colorado visits!

Amazing! We loved the blue goat! We stayed here for 3 nights while moving our son out of his dorm at CSM. Impeccably clean, well equipped kitchen, perfect location to walk to all the fun restaurants and shops. Quick access to the trails, highly recommend Chimney Gulch for a hike! We usually stay at hotels when we come to Golden but we’ll be returning to the Blue Goat for sure!

The Blue Goat is a charming studio that you feel comfortable in immediately. Jan has thought of everything that you may need including phone chargers, small fans, umbrellas, etc. Her communication and instructions are stellar. We took one of the umbrellas to Red Rocks only to have it confiscated and never seen again. Jan was so understanding and even though it was our mistake, she said she should have told us and wouldn't let us replace it. We were there 3 nights but could see ourselves staying much longer and being comfortable. If we find ourselves in the Denver area again, we'll look at the Blue Goat first.

We had a wonderful time staying at this studio apartment. It was located in a quiet residential area but was a short walk to get to main drag in Golden to enjoy all the charm. Included private parking spot which was convenient. Also had easy access to mountain sites (Red Rocks, Lookout Mt, etc) without having to drive through Denver traffic. Our host was very knowledgeable and had many suggestions for local restaurants and things to do. Super clean and well appointed property. Thank you for a great time!

Jan thought of the little things with this property and the little things mean a lot when you're away from home - very clean and well thought out. Great property for a couple or a single person (comfy king bed). I didn't rent a car for the two weeks I was there ($$$!) but this location is beyond perfect for walking downtown and to various markets. Jan was a great host, very responsive and full of knowledge about the area. Golden has great hikes and paths all around I wish I had more time to explore. I would go back to The Blue Goat in a heartbeat!

The place was immaculate and the location walkable to the Clear Creek walkway and anywhere downtown. Being elevated made me feel like I was in a treehouse. The bed is amazingly comfy. Finishes are lovely. Enjoyed my own deck, wven in January.
