For the location and price we were pleased with our purchase. We enjoyed ourselves on the property. It was clean and everything worked. There is no firepit outside. I’m sure as a property owner they feel the liability is not worth the rub. But it turned cool last night we were there so it would have been nice to enjoy a fire. But overall we were very satisfied

Great views very clean. But definitely run by a company.

Loved that we were close to Maggie Valley area. Cute cabin with a garage.

So close yet far to the big City
We loved the location

We loved everything about the cottage. Clean, comfortable, close to the little shops. We only have two dogs and it was so nice to have a chance to get away and have a place to welcome our dogs.Oh, I just can not say enough good things about this quiet wonderful piece of Heaven. Do not hesitate if you want to run away, grab it before someone else does. It might be us!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin is close to all of the amenities but off the beaten path enough that it is so peaceful. The views are breath taking, only wish the trees in front of the large windows and living room were pruned enough for a more clear view. Tranquility Cabin will most definitely be seeing us again.

Good points: location and comfortable bed. Main complaint was the smell; best description being wet dog. Really unpleasant. No amount of febreeze and candles could overcome it. Pretty sure it was in the furniture upholstery. Now all of our clothes and suitcases have the smell. ☹️. Also, lack of frypan had been noted by multiple previous guests and yet the owner seems not to care enough to spend $10 on one. Toaster barely works - again another cheap fix if owner cared. This place could be much nicer with some attention.

Had a wonderful 4 night stay at this property. Everything was clean, dishes and utensils were all there, and everything was comfy.

Nice cabin with wonderful porch views to enjoy as the day winds down.

The mattress is worn out, the fire place don't work there was no fire pit and the steps are dangerous and there is no big frying pan had to cook my husbands food first and then mine, and no instructions on how to get the T.V's to work. We are very disappointed in this stay.

The place is really nice and clean. It has beautiful views and is very relaxing. There are cows grazing on the mountain right beside the property. It is perfect for two people. The fireplace and A/C worked well. The WiFi does not work. There is a larger house and this place is an apartment/cabin over the detached garage. All trash cans are stored inside the garage for the house and cabin. Upon arriving the trash cans smelled very bad. I could smell them when I stepped outside my car and could also smell them inside the cabin. The contact number given to rental place is a 1-800 number and I'm assuming the person you're calling is in another state somewhere. I was told to wheel my trash cans to the road on Monday night and a trash service would pick them up. I was also told someone would come and wheel the remaining trash cans to the road. No one ever came and the trash was never picked up. Finally after two days I was contacted by a local rental person who came and took the trash away. She said never take the trash to the road. Two completely different answers to my same question. I spoke with them about the WiFi not working two times, but not one came to fix it. The WiFi is simply a repeater from the larger house. My AT&T cell service was great, so I didn't need it anyway. There is not firepit, but there are chairs and a washer/dryer inside the garage. Overall, it's a very nice place and worth the money. The trash issues definitely needs to be addressed.

The cabin had everything we could have needed and was in a beautiful remote location. Great for a weekend escape.

The road were very narrow and dangerous. The room was not clean and wanting to enjoy setting and watching tv with the fireplace and tv would not work. The mattress needs to be replaced. I notified the manager about the tv and he assured he would have someone the next day and no one came. I would not use this location again.

Overall a nice property for no more than 2 people. Location is easy access to lots of small communities and plenty to do.

This is a small cabin with lovely views from the front deck. It was clean and nicely furnished. The surrounding neighborhood is nice. It is convenient to Waynesville and Maggie Valley. Since we were in the area in January, I'd looked for a cabin with a fireplace since we knew we'd be out each day in the winter weather. The gas fireplace did not work. After 3 calls, Vacasa finally had someone out to repair it. He could not. Also the internet only worked marginally and TV reception was poor.

Nice cabin!!! We were a short drive from everything. It is a steep hill so just a heads up. It was just my husband and I and it was an amazing weekend.

Loved being on top of the mountain, had really good views, some tree trimming would make them even better (if the trees are on the property).

Upon checking in the door code didn’t work. A quick phone call and we accessed a key. Good service from phone call. We settled and kept smelling something that wasn’t right. I went to the garage and there were 5 overflowed trash cans and more trash laying on the ground. It was traveling to the house by way of air handler. Another call and someone came out to remove. They need better communication. Nice accommodations other than check in and trash.

Layout of space was good and interior was clean. Attention to maintenance and outdoor areas badly needed.

Loved the cabin and it was very nice.

Overall it was in a beautiful location close to everything. Very quiet and peaceful other than the steep incline up to the cottage.

The cabin was comfortable, and perfect for 2 people. It rained our entire trip and I wished the porch had a covering, rather than pergola slats. It would have been a perfect spot to sip coffee in the rain on a covered porch. The grill needs cleaning, we opted not to grill the burgers we brought. Having access to washer and dryer was great since our clothes were soaked from hiking in the rain each day. We had a lovely visit from some grazing cows, that was a delightful surprise. The location was secluded and very quiet. One very friendly neighbor saw us in the driveway and had a nice chat.

Great, except for the trash problem. There was garbage in the driveway for our entire trip and when we checked out and put our trash in the receptacles in the garage, it was filled with garbage. There were too many flies around the cabin, I think because of the garbage problem.

This cabin is nicely appointed and perfect for two adults, but if you have a larger party there is another, larger house across the driveway. We had some glitches upon arrival, like no Wifi (it's in the other house so you need to get the management company to fix that) and the smoke alarm battery failed the first night so we heard chirping until my husband removed it. It took about a day to get someone to come.
Most crucially - use the address they give you "in case you are using Google maps" no matter what type of GPS you have, otherwise you will experience the most terrifying stretch of not even one lane mountain gravel road in Waynesville to get there. If you actually make it all the way, you'll find a locked gate and the end of the road. I don't know why they don't just use that as the address. The right road is paved the whole way.
Tip if you go through Marriott Bonvoy, points seemed to go much further than they do for comparably priced hotel properties.

During our stay, the temperatures reached 22 degrees Fahrenheit. Despite indicating a central heating system, the thermostat did not work. The fireplace, which was the only source of heat, stopped working after the first day and we were unable to restart it. We called the support number provided which is just a corporate number, and they said they would notify the local number and the local team would be in contact, but they didn’t contact me until the day before checkout and told me they couldn’t come out to fix the issue. We nearly froze in the cabin, it was that cold (we had to wear layers inside and wrap up in blankets to stay warm). This treatment was inhumane and despite requesting a refund, they denied it on grounds that they offered a solution and I rejected it (they offered to walk me through fixing the fireplace myself, which I said sure but was not in the unit at the time to which they said call back when I was. I called back when I was, no one responded despite leaving a message). In addition to the serious misgrievances above, the garage promised is full of junk (can’t fit your car in there), there was no garage door opener as promised, the floors were dirty, and there was only one chair at the outdoor fire pit despite showing 4 in the picture. The views were gorgeous as shown, but based on everything else, I would not recommend this place and especially would never, ever stay with a Vacasa rental again!

Perfectly situated in the mountains. Convenient to lots of places. We skied at Cataloochee. Enjoyed some get away time with our youngest son before Army obligations claim him. The City Lights bookstore in Sylva is a delightful hidden destination too.

Had a great time did a lot of hiking and shopping in Maggie Valley and Waynesville.
Kitchen was equipped with everything you needed except you might wanna bring a frying pan lol
Had a few campfires at night grilled out every night.
All you have to really worry about is food beverages and wood for the campfire which are local all around that you can buy there’s also a landscaping business right before you pull into the entranceway that sells wood.

Nice accommodations with a great view. Short drive to downtown Waynesville.

Cabin stay
Cabin is very nice. Communication with vrbo was difficult.

Beautiful - exactly as described
This cabin is exactly as described, it’s quaint and has a beautiful view.
The property managers were always available if needed.
The other reviews were accurate with arriving before dark because those roads are tricky if you aren’t used to them!
The only reason for a low rating with the cleanliness was because of the bugs that inhabit the cabin as well as the dishes weren’t clean. The linens looked pretty bad as well as the pillows. I’m not a nit-picky person but the grill wasn’t usable either.
Other than that honestly it’s a great place.

I was more than happy with the location.
I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.
Reviewer Comments:
This was a great view of the colorful mountains and beautiful cool weather. Response to problems via text messages was quick, home response follow up lacks that personal touch. Infestation of lady bugs on both inside and outside the home was horrific. Guess the peak mountain top location was not the best per explanation. Not recommended if you do not like bugs staying inside with you!

Reviewer Comments:
Nice new paint. But they took all the rugs out. I understand it is a dog friendly rental so I assume that is the reason. I so much prefer to have at least one rug in front of the sofa. Also they took the furniture covers that protect the sofa when you bring dogs. Weird. Overall I thoroughly enjoy the views and the location can’t be beat. This unit is always clean and they have brought in some new pans and sharp knives for the kitchen.
