About this cabin rental
This 12 year old beautiful home is just like new with a King size bed on the main level and a big loft area that includes a Queen bed and a sleep sofa/futon as well as a full sleep sofa/futon in the main living area.
This Pike River/Pike bay inlet property has a nice private dock with a sitting/fishing bench where you are able to sit, fish or relax. Fishing is closed on the Pike River during the month of May for spawning, but access to the lake is open. You are welcome to park your boat at the dock. We do not recommend that Fiberglass boats /or any other boats over 19' navigate up the river due to the current and fluctuation of depth caused by rain, evaporation and wind. By boat it takes around 7-10 minutes to navigate out to Pike Bay and that is the same amount of it Takes to get to a couple of good concrete launch ramps that can put you in different bays on the East side of Lake Vermilion for Fishing or just cruising around.
The fire pit area has plenty of seating and is only a stones throw away from the dock. The large deck has a patio table, new gas grill and plenty of seating if you like to sit out at night and enjoy the fresh air. The inside of the house has a full kitchen that includes a( Keurig coffeemaker, 2 slice bagel toaster, rice cooker, hand mixer and a large slow cooker). Also a full bathroom with tub/ shower and a laundry room for your use. The house has central A/C with 3 separate units. The large propane fireplace has a safety screen on it to keep hands from touching the glass. You will find two nice Samsung 43" High Definition LCD TV's in the main living area and one in the master bedroom, both with dish satellite TV for you to enjoy.
Location is key for this vacation rental. You are less than a half mile from a large gas station, convenient store with drive thru bait service that includes a new Liquor store.
Lake Vermilion is the 5th largest inland lake in Minnesota at 40,000 plus acres with over 350 islands and 1,200 miles of shoreline that makes it one of Minnesota's Top Multi-Species lakes. This property was amazing.
Had everything we needed, for our family trip.

It was great, it did say there was a hot tub but there wasn’t one when they got there. But it was still a great time for my fiancée and his buddies. Edward was a great host!

Very clean and nicely kept cabin. Owners were quick to respond to any questions. Took us a minute to figure out the air conditioners but once we did they cooled it off very nicely. The 8 of us were comfortable.

Every year my family rents a cabin someplace up north. We love visitng the lake vermilion area and this cabin was perfect for us. We enjoyed the beautiful view and very nice accommodations. We brought paddle boards and the kids loved swimming at McKinley beach nearby. Wonderful time!

Cabin was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Wi-Fi was excellent. We were able to do easily do video-conferences for work. The owner was very responsive when an issue arose with the hot water tank and he immediately fixed it. I would definitely recommend the cabin to others.

Property was exactly as advertised! Very clean and had everything we needed!! We caught small mouth, pike and walleyes from the dock using slip bobber and minnows.
Being close to the store was very nice but also came with a little road noise but didn’t affect our stay at all!
We plan on rebooking again next summer!

Great property! Cabin was nice, clean and stocked. Deck was nice and big with nice furniture. Tho we never sat on it because it rained every minute. The grill was the nicest I’ve had at rental property ever. Backyard was very lush and beautiful. We did bring a 18’ boat in and out through the river daily. It was a challenge the first time. We went very slow and pinballed through. Pull your trolling motor up as high as possible. There is a way through without hitting rocks. Once you get it it’s ok but it’s a bit slow.
We acquired a map from a local of how to skate through there and it worked.
Nice and close to the store which was very convenient.
Ed was quick to respond to all communication.

We had a good time. The cabin was comfortable and well stocked. The location was great for getting to the boat launches at Fortune Bay and at HooDoo point, both of which are very good. It was also a good location for the attractions in Tower, Soudan and Ely. Our grandson especially enjoyed the Wolf and Bear centers. All in all a really nice place for a visit to the area.

clean, well furnished, quite new, all amenities, in-touch owners
great, lacked nothing unless you want boat access to Lake Vermillion. There is nice docking, good store and bait about 1 mile away and you are that close to casino, restaurant and nice hotel if you want that

Great Cabine
The place was perfect for our group. It was a hot week and the AC worked great. Aronson boat works is 2 minutes away and was a great place to keep our boat for the week so we didn’t have to worry about the water depth in the river. This is a great place!

Great property - Just as described
My husband and I spent two weeks in the home while on a fishing trip. The property pictures are very accurate and all of the listed amenities were in place and functional. The home was very nice and we would stay there again.
Bruce was helpful and friendly in getting us checked in and making sure we knew where everything was and how to operate everything.
As others have mentioned, the location is conveniently located to several boat ramps, closest ones are Everett Bay and Hoodoo Point. Tower is nearby, as is the Y-store and a casino.

Awesome Long Weekend Destination
The property was very clean, cozy, and quiet. We enjoyed spending time inside playing games by the fire, out on the dock fishing for musky, and nights around the fire pit. The location of the cabin was perfect for all of our day adventures to nearby state parks and the bear and wolf centers.

Fall Getaway...
As advertised. We had a great time. Property was perfectly suited for our needs. All was in good working order and amply supplied with firewood and propane for our use. Suggestion - review water level with property owner before booking if you plan to use River access and available dock. All worked well for us even with lowered water level, but our boat is only 17’. Anything larger may pose a problem depending on river water . Plenty of close options to launch if needed. Enjoy your stay. You will not be disappointed.

Modern cabin. Immaculately clean and thoughtfully equipped by friendly and responsive owners. Location was beautiful. Much attention to detail indoors and outdoors to make our stay very enjoyable. Loved the firepit on cool fall evenings and enjoyed the lighted steps when dusk fell. Master bedroom had a really comfortable bed - a great relief after long hikes! Kitchen is nicely equipped and one of our favorite touches was the purified water to fill our water bottles and make drinks with. Cozy gas fireplace and lovely view of river from living room and deck. Satellite internet slowed down dramatically in the evening - bring some DVDs if you want to watch a movie at night. The Y store is handy for necessities. All in all a great place to stay and explore from.Thank you Bruce and Mary!

PERFECT From the moment we selected this property, everything went perfect. From the help/information that Bruce and Mary gave us, To the very end everything went perfect. The property was just as it was stated in the listing Bruce and Mary were there to meet us when we got there, with all the extra information about the cabin and the area they went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. The kitchen was well stocked , and the whole cabin was incredibly clean and neat, the grill was ready to go and so were we. We did most of our meals at the cabin, And spent all of our time exploring the area between Tower, Ely and Cook, we went out on the lake one day and explored the new state park and all the local spots. We did eat at good old days, in tower, what a cool place you should check it out, and if you golf you should try the wilderness it’s an incredible golf course. There is also some walks you can take from the cabin that are very scenic going down Odilia rd or across the street to a waterfall and Dam. Our only complaint is that the five days went way too fast.!!! So we will be planning a return trip !!!

Great getaway
What a wonderful property. Everything was provided as they listed. The owners have taken special care to make sure that things you might have forgotten to bring from home, they took care of. They even had a roasting stick for hotdogs by the firepit. We will definitely be back.
