Far enough from the main commercial street to provide a sense of serenity, but a very easy walk to the shops, restaurants, etc., and an even easier stroll to the water!

Everything was first rate. Very comfortable overall. Property management was kind and responsive to our messages. If I had one suggestion, I would say that it would be to have more soap and shampoo for a 4 night stay.

If you are looking for a place to just park your car for the trip, this is it as everything you'll need for a restful and enjoyable time away can be walked to. If you want to venture out further, the ferry can take you over to the main beach boardwalk and even more things to enjoy.

This place is super clean & has great light! We loved this location- super close to downtown in one direction, and the ferry in the other direction! Garage is fully stocked with beach chairs/toys, wagon! Plenty of space to park our car or the overnight bikes we rented! Would happily return!

This 2 bedroom condo is a great get away. We actually parked our car in the attached garage and did not move it till we left.
Everything is within walking distance--shopping, eating, kayaking and jogging/walking around the 2 mile of the island.
The condo was clean with a large living/dining/kitchen area.
I would go back in a minute!!!

Nice two-bedroom unit, perfect for 2-4 persons with plenty of common areas for meals and lounging. Centrally located on Balboa Island, short walks to waterfront and shopping / dining areas. We had a great stay!

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this property and had a wonderful trip. Great location and makes most places walkable or rideable by bike. Will definitely be staying here again. Only complaint I would have is that beach towels weren’t provided as they had been in the past, but there was plenty of beach equipment to use in the garage.

Great location, possibilities are much greater than the experience.
Couch was stained as were all the carpets and chairs. Ended up washing the couch cushions.
Stayed there last year and had a much better experience.
Mia communication on the garage space. Both units were given the same code for only one of the two garages.
Not as pleasant as it was last year.
Little TLC will clean that up.

The property is very cute and well appointed!
It’s close to Marine Avenue and walking distance to the ferry. It was great to have garage parking and a washer/dryer as well. We would stay here again! 😀

This property has a great location… walking distance to everything. As with most places on the island… no A/C Which was expected. However, the apartment was stifling upon arrival and never really cooled off enough to be comfortable. There were lots of fans which helped somewhat… we just hit a very hot stretch of weather.

We had a great time, it’s a darling place, true to the photos, the beds were made up beautifully, sofa very deep & comfortable, kitchen has everything you need, perfect place for 2 to 4 guests. We look forward future stays here. Thanks to the owners for keeping it updated & available for vacationers.

Beach vibes and location were some of the many things that we loved. Both beds were very comfortable and spacious. A lot of bang for the buck, can’t go wrong with this place. Will probably make this out little get away each year.

Great location. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Wonderful to have washer/dryer and garage parking. Nice property, well equipped, We were there during a hot summer and the lack of AC made afternoons uncomfortable, even with ceiling fans and other fans. Experienced internet and TV problems that we resolved with Spectrum on our own after a half day of working with them - should be fixed now.

Great location and the apartment was nicely furnished, comfortable beds, etc.
We did have to go buy an additional fan though. No air conditioning but we understand it is by the beach.
Biggest issue. No WIFI. It was a working vacation and the VRBO add said it came with WIFI. The WiFi there was mostly non functional. The neighbor came by and gave me a password to theirs so we had limited access. The instructions provided to access WiFi were inaccurate and different than what was actually at the residence. We called the local property manager but they had no information, at least that worked.
In any case I spent much of the time at the local Starbucks using their WIFI.
And the TV cable did not work and there was no Wifi. So we had no Tv/movies the whole time.
I am inclined to ask for some sort of credit as this was not as advertised and I had to spend much of my stay there away from the property due the the la k of WiFi.
Again, the VRBO add indicated TV and WIFI?

Darling place that pretty much is exactly what you see in the pictures. Great location on the island and HUGE BENEFIT of a garage. I have a large SUV which we needed to make some modifications to in order to fit in the garage so if you drive a large SUV, the garage may not work for you but at least you have somewhere to park your bikes. The kitchen was well stocked and the appliances all worked great. Plenty of room for our family of 4 and plenty of lighting options. Fantastic cooling breezes when you open the windows.
The Downfalls: Typical Vacasa paper towels and singly plky toilet paper which sucks. Not enough supply for our 4-day stay. When there is no tissue in the house, you have to use toilet paper or paper towels, We rean out of both. We ended up using paper towels in the bathroom on our last day since we ran out of toilet paper. (Thrown in the trash - not flushed down the toilet.) There were only 2 washcloths, 2 hand towels and 4 bat towels. Not enough for a family of four over four days. We requested more and ended up getting some towels the night before we checked out. The roman shades in the kitchen over the sink were broken. They came in and just flipped them up over the top to keep them open. Now, no option for privacy so I flipped them back down. One of the kitchen chairs had a leg that was literally hanging on by a thread. They came and tightened it up as best as they could. The ceiling fan in the second bedroom did not work........

We loved staying on Balboa Island and the location was great. However, there were several stains on fabric sofa, ottoman and dining chairs. The sofa’s feathers were packed hard and/or missing in popular sitting spots hurting my back. The utensils were missing several forks and a few other items. I’d also strongly suggest that they upgrade their choice of items in a gift starter bag. I truly appreciate gifts but not the very lowest quality paper products. The washer and dryer was wonderful and soap was provided which was very nice. It is located in the garage so one must go outside to enter the garage to wash/dry clothes.
The only bathroom had a tall tub which is hard for a 5’ tall person to get in/out of. The only sink allowed only a very small area to rest necessary items. There were only two wash rags that repealed water. I requested more and those were the very lowest quality also. Water was just smeared and wouldn’t be absorb.
Finally, to use the garage you must pull partially off the street, get out and use a code to open the door before entering. Same is true when leaving. We mostly parked on the street however appreciated knowing we always had a parking spot!!

Overall we had a wonderful stay at this property. The property had just about everything we needed, but could have provided us with a few more towels. Condo was nicely appointed and furnished and electronics were easy to function. Proximity to marine and ferry were terrific. One down side is there is no out door space or patio with a grill. Other than that, wonderful stay!
