About this cabin rental
Living Spaces:
With two separate living spaces, there’s plenty of room for everyone to find their groove. The spacious living room features vaulted ceilings with beautiful beadboard detail. Between the upper dormer windows and the lower windows and door, the home is flooded with sunshine. They also create the perfect vantage point from which to enjoy the lakefront view as you relax comfortably on the sofa or leather recliners. When the evening rolls around, take advantage of the lightning fast (500+Mbps) WiFi to stream your favorite show, movie, or sporting event on the 70” HDTV.
The game room brings the outdoors in with a full wall of screening. Here is the spot for a friendly competition on the English dartboard. Then it’s time to crack a beer from mini-fridge and tune in to your favorite streaming service on the flat-screen TV.
Or maybe play a board game from the extensive collection.
Cooking & Dining:
The fully-equipped kitchen has an open-concept style, perfect for keeping up with the conversation! You’ll find all you need to create anything from a simple snack to a gourmet meal. Maybe you’ll get lucky with some fresh fish for dinner! The large peninsula bar comfortably seats three.
With the stunning views and comfortable weather, you may want to enjoy your meals alfresco. We make it easy with both a picnic table, charcoal grill, and fire pit that doubles as a grill with Adirondack chairs all around.

For our remote worker guests, the loft boasts a complete workstation, including mounted monitors, docking station, and printer!

DO NOT stay here. We arrived after a days drive to the messiest, disgusting, worn down, unkempt place I have stayed. We contacted the owner who apologized, and offered several things to make a "5 star " experience. The furniture is worn out with holes, ripped nails coming through. It took us over 3 hours to clean place, after we bought cleaning supplies. There was blood on a pillow. Urine stains on the back of toilet, dirty sheets, food stuck to the fridge, abd the stove. For 8 people we had 3 rolls not of toliet paper.Owner offered to reimburse us for the issues, and for money spent on supplies.When we left 38mins late he tried to charge us more after all this. He had texted to ask us at 1130 if we could hurry up and get packed up. I told him were were headed out the door...packing truck.
We then again pointed out all the issues with a few before, and after pictures and he decided not to pursue that. When we were 3 hours cleaning initially. He was going to charge for 38 minutes.
This owner doesn't care about the condition of the property. He even admitted he hadn't been there in sometime.
Save your money, don't stay here . The owner isn't someone I would deal with again, as he is dishonest. He never did reimburse for toliet paper (The house per its description has that). Bottom line the house is gross.
The only pro of the house for us is it sits on a beautiful lake. They have out door games, indoor games, fishing poles, awesome fire pit. Lots of outdoor area to spread out, a

Enjoyed the stay. Despite starting off with severe thunderstorms and tons of rain. We enjoyed our stay. House is nice and convenient. Ended up with sunny skies the last day and lots of fun. Will stay again. Host was great and check in and out was a breeze. The neighbor was friendly and funny. Great time

We had a wonderful stay! House is roomy and outside area has plenty of space to hang out. There were a couple of issues that were dealt with promply by contacting the owner who answered my txt and called right away!! Can' wait to come back! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with our family ❤️ Do know that cell phone service can be a bit sketchy on the way up so map it out before you leave your house, just in case.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The property was very clean, cozy, and included many amenities. My kids were pleased with the basket of treats on arrival. We had fun fishing, kayaking, board games, darts, sitting by the fire etc. We loved being able to have our fur baby with us. We would love to return during the summer!

We really enjoyed our stay this week. The house was very clean, well appointed for decorations and they had the kayaks, life jackets, fishing poles, everything you needed. Just bring the bait! Bring paper plates if you don’t want to wash dishes. There were many pots and pans, which was great. Plenty of spices, etc for cooking. We definitely will come back if we have the time. Owner of the house was very helpful and responded quickly to text. Thank you again Josh!!

The cabin is roomy, clean, and cozy. Everything was as expected and we had a wonderful time! You definitely feel as if you’re spending your time at a private cabin on the lake in the forest. We plan to return soon

We had a such wonderful stay. The cabin was clean, well maintained and it was fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, paper towels, toiletries and even laundry detergent. It was nicely decorated and the beds were very comfortable. Plenty of sleeping space for us, parents and grandkids. The appliances are full size. My husband launched the boat from The boat ramp at Huxley Bay Marina, left the truck and trailer there and tied the boat at the dock on the property. The boat ramp was so close to the property. It was so convenient. We spent most of our time outside on in the screened in patio area. We would stay here again and recommend it.

This is the place to go if you want quiet days and cozy nights. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time here. It was just as the pictures showed and then some. The host provided so many additional necessities you forget about when going on vacation to a lake house. We fished, kayaked, tubed the lake without any issues or crowds. I would definitely recommend this place.

Family reunited after 10 years
This cabin is truly the Heart ❤️ of Huxley Bay! The property is the perfect location for fun & relaxation. The children were entertained with kayaks, swimming, darts, board games. The large screened in patio was a great place for the adults to enjoy adult beverages and reminisce. Thank you Josh for providing our family a chance to reunite after 10 long years

That’s what we found at the Heart of Huxley Bay. The home is beautiful. Very clean. Easy sign in and sign out. Comfortable beds with clean and soft linens and pillows. Towels smelt freshly washed. Best water pressure for showers. The extras offered like fishing equipment and kayaking equipment made it all worth it for the family. We hosted the groom and groomsmen the day of the wedding for a place to wind down before the ceremony. They played darts and ate lunch and had a great time. Communication with the landlord was top notch. We had a few questions and Josh was immediately available. We plan to come back soon. Strongly recommend this lake house.

Perfect Memorial Day Weekend at the Lake with Dogs and Boat!
This house was perfect for our family-sons, spouses, granddogs and our boat. We launched across the bay which was so easy. The weather allowed us to eat every meal outside on the picnic table, the fire pit was great for hot dogs and somemores, the screened porch was a comfy spot to hang out and throw darts....it was a wonderful lake weekend......even caught some Sac O Lait and had a fish fry. Josh was prompt in answering questions and was an accommodating host! Highly recommend!

Easter getaway
Absolutely wonderful. The house was clean and very roomy, we were 10 and everyone was comfortable. The yard was well kept grass was cut and clean, the fire pit was a plus for us, made our evenings enjoyable sitting around the fire. We all had an awesome time, only complaint I have is trash bins outside were full of trash from previous renter. Not a big deal, just some don't follow directions. But, looking forward to booking again in the future. Highly recommend this rental for a great getaway.

Highly Recommend!
From the minute you walk in the door, you feel the family's love for this property. They even greeted us with snacks! The house was fully stocked with everything you need and then some. The view from the back porch is gorgeous! The home is also very dog friendly, with a fenced-in area.
Josh was super accomodating and very quick to respond.
We loved the Heart of Huxley Bay and will definitely be back when the weather warms up.

The cabin was just what we were expecting and we had a wonderful trip! We are a large family and the cabin accommodated us nicely. The firepit was awesome and there was plenty of firewood. Josh was an excellent host who was always available to answer any questions. Hopefully we will return again soon!!

We didn’t want to leave. Including the dog.
We have never rented a place before. If we go elsewhere they will have impossible standards to beat. We lacked for nothing. We brought things we didn’t need to bring. We will have to come back when the weather is warmer so we can enjoy the water sports.
Josh was very responsive to my questions. He let us adapt the house to accommodate my disability.
Don’t skip this gorgeous place!! You won’t regret it.
