You'll feel as though you've set sail on Hood Canal when you wake up each day at this unique waterfront home in Hoodsport. Greet the morning sun on the wrap-around deck, sip a mug of coffee at the water's edge, and dangle your feet in the lapping waves from a seat on the staircase.
The 12-sided design of this dodecagon home maximizes the incredible sound-front views to the east. You'll be in awe of the scene framed by the large picture windows, whether you're preparing meals in the kitchen or watching movies at day's end. The single-level floor plan is open, with one side of the great room occupied by the kitchen, where you'll find stainless steel appliances (including a French-door refrigerator and a dishwasher) and a circular dining room table. On the other side is a living room with comfortable seating and a smart TV.
Outside on the wrap-around deck, you can grill in the sunshine, dine overlooking the water, or even descend a few stairs for a brisk swim in Hood Canal. And if you choose to stroll to Hoodsport's restaurants, shops, and conveniences less than half a mile up the road, you'll come home to the comforts of free WiFi and a private washer/dryer to take care of all your laundry needs.
Fall and winter are prime time for scuba diving. Two full-service dive shops are within walking distance and can cater to any diver regardless of experience level. An underwater diver’s park can be found just outside the house. Orcas have been known to visit the canal during the colder months. Feel free to use the shed to store scuba gear or outdoor toys/equipment.

You won't find a better view. We enjoyed watching the tides and the wildlife. We took advantage of the stairs into the water for refreshing swimming in Hood Canal. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked, lots of games and books. Great binoculars. We didn't want to leave.

This property was perfect for our 6th wedding anniversary! Fully stocked with everything you could need. Adorable town with great ice cream, mexican food and more a short walk away. Loved floating in the water, watching the seals and adventuring up the coast for crab kayaking and oyster chucking!

Great views from all of the windows. Easy access to the water for swimming

Very lovely spot on the water with expansive windows to enjoy the view. Enjoyed my daily swim off of the stairs to the water.

We stay in Hoodsport frequently, but this was the first time we were close enough to walk into town. And yet the location of the home with nearby neighbors on only one side made it feel surprisingly private. Bring ear plugs because like most waterfront property in the area, you’ll hear some road noise at night. Opening windows and doors what’s a cool ocean breeze through the house in the summer. The stairs into the canal are sturdy and let us swim at any time of day. This house was perfect for our family of three, though I wouldn’t bring a child much younger than four due to the steep water access and abundant decor. The large deck let us find shade and sun almost any time of day.
The closest kayak rental recently closed, but Mike’s resort 15 miles north rents boats first come first served.

We enjoyed our stay at the house. There was several small touches throughout that made our stay really enjoyable. The view was unbeatable. The swimming was great for the kids and the newly built stairs case into the water and fun to explore low tide and easy fun swimming at high tide.

Beautiful home right on the water, great place if you just want to get away.

House was great and view amazing. Really enjoyed our stay, with we had booked for more days.

Right on the water. Has everything you need. Very peaceful.

Beautiful location, neighbors were also very friendly, we really enjoyed our visit here and couldn’t have expected a better place to stay, thank you

We love this house. The location is very convenient and just seaside. No wind, no seaweed smell, the water is clean and quiet. If weather is hot enough, I will try diving too.

The house is beach side. The water is very clean and quiet. No wind, no seaweed smell. It is a very nice place except a little close to the HW101, but the location is 100 score and unbeatable.

The fridge was smelling really bad. Vacasa reps were quick to clean up but looks like it has been a persistent problem left unaddressed. Very happy with the customer support team but the fridge issue needs to be resolved.
Otherwise the place was very good with a great view of the lake.

We stayed for a long weekend. The cabin is clean and very nice inside, of course with great views! It was easy to find and get to and close to other amenities. The folks in town are also super nice and friendly. We were able to do local day trips easily. Definitely a good spot if you want to explore the east side of the peninsula!

We loved this property so much when we stayed two years ago, that we came back! Everything was as described and just a few minor things to give the owners for feedback (but not to warrant describing here). The property has a VERY comfortable vibe and has enough of everything to make the stay cozy and comfortable. Communication with manager was wonderful and easy (text details were great). A little disappointing no late checkout available (10am feels a little early). Will definitely stay again!

Great place to relax and be so close to the water and sea life (sea gulls and seals abound) peaceful. Draw back is the log trucks and traffic behind the property.

gorgeous views! Lots of otter watching from the deck.

This lovely home was perfect for a relaxing getaway. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had all the equipment we needed. The pictures are quite accurate. Added bonus: a platform in the water right in front of the property was the regular resting spot for a momma seal and her pup!
The only disappointment was the stairs down to the water were off limits due to needed repairs. We couldn't access the water from the property.
Would definitely stay here again.

Loved the cottage. Great sunrises, seals and birds. At first glance it seemed super clean but after we settled in we noticed it needed a little extra cleaning in the bathroom. Overall I’d stay here again.

This place was great…except the check out…10:00 is early, The cleaning person showed up before 10:00….this felt rushed and awkward.

Cute and cozy cottage right on the Canal. Stunning views and quick walk into Hoodsport. We enjoyed watching the seals and shorebirds. And if you sat down longer than five minutes you’d see a Puget Sound pink salmon jumping almost right in front of you. We could have fished off the deck had we brought our poles. Location is a little noisy given that it backs onto US 101, but everything else made up for it.

Great property! Home was very comfortable and had the best ice maker!! Right on the beach and Hoodsport is a fun small town with a nice grocery store. Fun watching scuba divers and seals. The driveway is a little tricky, but we did fine. Outside garbage hadn't been empty so one morning we had to pick up after the raccoons. Great space! Great time!

Perfect weather and calming to watch the water, scenery on the deck or in the cozy chairs with a great view

This place is perfect! The welcome goody bag is a special treat! If you wake up early enough you can see the seals out on the dock! Go to Puerta De Angeles for dinner!! Tides Restaurant is a great place for breakfast! Great hikes nearby! Will make this an annual getaway!

This home is absolutely beautiful, it was extremely clean when we walked in. Seeing the harbor seals was such a treat.
For the cost of this rental, I was a bit surprised that the landscaping was not done. That is the only complaint I have.
I am extremely happy with everything that they had to offer! The location is great to walk right into Hoodsport and awesome kayaking and hiking areas.

The view was nice. The check-in process was easy. We liked the location since it was on the water and was close to a lot of hiking trails. The house was spacious for two people. With only one bathroom it may be a little tight for 3 or 4 people. The house was generally clean but one cabinet, that held all of the cooking oils and spices, was dirty and even attracted some ants. This would be an easy fix before someone rents the house.

This review is about Vacasa’s poor service regarding a forgotten item in my room. A few hours after I checked out, I realized that I forgot a sleeping bag at the property. I immediately called the Vacasa lost item support number. I gave a description of the sleeping bag’s size, color, and the location where it was left in the master bedroom (on the bed). I mentioned that the cleaning crew would see it immediately upon entering the room. The rep took my info and charged my credit card a $27.63 fee to recover and ship the item to my address. I was told that lost item requests are usually resolved within 72 hours. After a couple of days, I called back for an update. The rep said I would receive a call the next day to request my shipping address so the item could be mailed to me. That call never came. I called back again and received the same reply. I've continued following up every other day and the response is always the same. My stay with Vacasa was almost two weeks ago, yet customer service cannot provide any status or updates as to the whereabouts of my item. When I tried to escalate to the local staff manager I was told they couldn’t give out their number. The rep agreed to have the manager call me at my number on file, but again the call never came. This has been a frustrating waste of time, especially after paying for this service with zero progress to show. I'm now concerned that my item will not be returned. I’m following up with a review here because there’s no other recourse through Vacasa other than continue the endless loop with customer support.

First, I really thought the place would not live up to the pictures. But it did. Planned BBQ, which worked out great. Brought firewood, but market a block away had firewood. Market also has everything else you might need for food. I did a lot of cooking. Brought stuff for cooking from home, but did not need it. The inside is very thought out for comfort and convenience. In my opinion, it is worth the extra money. I did not spot the portable bed in the closet until we were leaving. All in all, terrific.

We stayed at the Angle Inn for a couple of nights on our trip around the Olympic Loop. We enjoyed our stay and recommend the home. Very well appointed and stocked close to Cushman Lake and trails, beautiful setting on the hood canal. Close to restaurants and grocery pretty much perfect for anything you need.

We loved the location of the house. Very close to all nearby restaurants and grocery store. Lake cushman and staircase was within an hour away . Beautiful porch . Beautiful to seeing flying fish, seals , divers , birds , moon light !

The house was cute and clean. There were some blinds that could not be shut all the way or were missing slats. At night time I did not feel very safe or secure. Some of the windows don't lock all the way.
And one of the chairs on the deck broke! I sat down and ended up with my feet in the air, I was stuck inside the chair. If this would have been my grandmother it could have been very bad!
We know you advise of the road noise, but overall for the price I think it's too much.
Attn needs to be paid to the small details if you are going to charge this kind of rate.

Had a lovely, relaxing vacation here, but with a few issues.
Pros:
The amazing, wraparound view.
Well equipped with mostly high quality furnishings.
Nice selection of games and puzzles, and even folding tables to use them on.
Great spot to launch a kayak or paddleboard if you don’t mind a few stairs.
Cove by side of the house (note the second set of stairs in the rocks there) is nice for splashing at low tide.
Easy walk to town for groceries or yummy Mexican food.
Cons:
Noise: As others have mentioned, this property is right on Highway 101. Inside the sound isn’t bad, especially if the windows are closed. Outside, the deck isn’t as peaceful as it looks due to heavy traffic noise. The shape of the house means that the sound travels easily to the back of the deck.
Lack of maintenance: Some items such as the deck chairs look nice, but are broken. It feels like maintenance and updates haven’t been done in a while.
Cleanliness: Cleaning was cursory at best. Food left in kitchen sink, dust and dirt in corners. The grill was so dirty that even after we cleaned the racks, residue underneath caused it to catch fire.

This house was cute and right on the water. The beach is a little tricky to get down to but worth the effort especially if you have kiddos- our 5 year old loved exploring and seeing all the crabs :)

House had everything we needed with spectacular views. Can't wait to come back again!

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights and hiked in Olympic during the day. This place we perfect for us and very comfortable with everything we needed. Could handle another couple easily. Fun to stare out over the Canal and occasionally spot interesting wildlife like harlequin ducks, a bald eagle (chased by seagulls), and seals (four spent the night on the neighbor's float). Note that the place is right next to Highway 101, so there can be road noise, but we turned on a box fan at night for "white noise" and were not bothered.

A lovely return trip
I just adore this house. Right on the water and always something to watch out the window. The house is cozy and comfortable and well stocked with equipment for cooking in the kitchen.
This was my second stay at this location and I look forward to returning again.
