Situated on 10 acres, Green Mountain Getaway is a cozy cape-style home located off of Moscow road, 6 minutes from the Village of Stowe and 15 minutes to Stowe Mountain Resort. A charming wood burning fireplace, cathedral ceilings and open floor plan make this a perfect place to gather after a full day of outdoor activities, ideally suited for one or two families, or three couples. There are two large bedrooms upstairs – one with a queen bed, another with a queen and twin trundle bed – and one full bath. Half bath and master bedroom with en suite bath and walk-in closet is located on the first floor.

Outdoor enthusiasts will love the home's proximity to hiking trails, world-class ski slopes, and the renowned Cady Hill mountain biking trail network accessible from the neighborhood. Whether it's your first visit or you know Stowe well, this home will serve as the perfect base camp!

Great summer vacation for us with our adult children (5 adults total). This property was perfect for us. The yard was beautiful and very private. Location was excellent. 5 minute drive to Route 108/Piecasso Restaurant and about the same to downtown Stowe depending upon traffic. Home was very comfortable. Bedrooms were large. Kitchen was very well stocked. Host had left all sorts of thoughtful touches throughout, which we really appreciated. Would love to return for another visit.

We loved our stay--the house was roomy enough to accommodate three couples and a kiddo, with a good mix of spaces to visit and spaces (as a family of introverts) to recharge. We loved the wildlife that came through the yard and neighborhood and appreciated how close we were to town!

Great house for a weekend to ski! Twenty minutes to the mountain on an easy drive . Close access to Stowe’s restaurants and downtown . Good sized rooms and comfortable beddings throughout

Great stay- very clean and good size bedrooms. Easy drive to the mountain for skiing. No cell service on the road leading up to house so need to have directions and code to get into house saved/downloaded before getting to driveway! Only drawback is no washer/dryer- so just plan ahead!

The house was great. We had 6 adults, a dog, and Two children (3 & 6). It worked out great. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wanted a nice getaway in Stowe. Jacuzzi tub was a big hit!

This is an incredible house. Location is excellent and convenient to Stowe yet also remote off two gravel roads and a good third of a mile to the next house. So nice balance of being close to the action while also being quiet. The house itself is lovely and well appointed. The master on floor one is large and comfortable. The two bedrooms upstairs are also spacious. The living room and dining room are connected and make for a homey space. The yard is really well landscaped and a blast for a dog. Wifi worked great and good thing because cell service was spotty. I wish I could give it six stars.

The house was beautiful, clean, and had everything necessary for a comfortable and home - like stay. The location is close to Stowe Mountain, restaurants, and stores yet private and away from everything. The owners were easily accessible and detail orientated. We were welcomed with a nice a bottle of wine and ease of access to all of the amenities. The house was warm and cozy and fit everyone very comfortably. We highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

When we arrived there was 18 inches of snow from the drive to the front door which we had to shovel out ourselves. Hard work for my husband who is not in the best of health There was no heat in the master bedroom or bathroom. It was too cold to use these rooms. This was not fixed until the following afternoon. The key was not on the door knob as advertised and we had a hard time finding it Despite these issues the property was comfortable and we had no other problems

This was perfect for multigenerational family getaway with our dog as well! Great house with fireplace and well appointed kitchen for cooking and baking! Very close to shopping, dining, and hiking, yet very quiet and beautiful setting. We would definitely rent this house again!

We loved our stay at Green Mountain Getaway! The home is very well appointed and located on a beautiful piece of property. We were fortunate to see the leaves beginning to change and enjoy the fireplace every evening. The kitchen island and coffee corner are perfect for hanging out and planning the day and the home is conveniently located to downtown and all the activities you want to do in Stowe. The host is very friendly and has excellent communication being quick to respond to any questions or needs.

We so enjoyed our stay while leaf peeping. Our first time to Vermont and Stowe didn’t let us down. Our accommodations were exceptional! Clean, well stocked with all the necessities you’ll need. This beautifully landscaped, Vermont home served our purpose extremely well. The kitchen was completely equipped with everything you might need. And we found it to be clean & very comfortable … I would go back:) I believe my whole family felt the same. That being said, I would recommend it to a friend!

This house is wonderful close to skiing and great food. The house itself was clean and comfortable. The owners were so kind to leave a bottle of wine and some VT maple syrup, they also had many thoughtful touches throughout the house. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!

For a long weekend of skiing at Stowe including more than a foot of new snow, Peter & Katarina's home in a lovely wooded setting was warm, cozy, and very comfortable. A perfect location for our family gathering. Peter & Katarina are most gracious, responsive, and welcoming hosts. Lots of nice touches - a bottle of wine, wood for fires in the wonderful fireplace, cozy throws draped on the living room sectional and beds. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is very neat, clean, nicely decorated and was bigger than I had expected! The location was great - close to the mountains and downtown shops and restaurants. The host was very sweet by leaving us a welcome treat (for us and the dog!) and was very responsive in returning emails. I would stay here again and recommend to family and friends. We were also happy that it was pet friendly!

We absolutely loved staying here! We were greeted with a lovely note welcoming us to the house along with a bottle of wine, Vermont maple syrup, and complimentary coffee. We’ve rented many houses over the years and this was the first time we’ve walked into something as thoughtful as that! The house is so close to Stowe Mountain, 15 minutes at most. The house is beautiful and set back off the road. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and is very spacious. The bedrooms are beautiful and are quite large. We enjoyed how close we were to downtown Stowe shopping and restaurants. We highly recommend staying here! We will definitely be back!

5 Star Ski Weekend!

Wow! Definitely 5 stars! We cannot say enough good things about our stay at Peter and Zuzy’s! Our family of five loved every minute of our ski weekend visit - there was plenty of space for us all to enjoy, especially lounging by the living room fireplace or gathering around the large dining room table for meals. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood just a short drive from town and the ski resorts (less than 15 minutes to either Trapp Family Lodge or Stowe Mountain Resort). The check-in process was seamless and we were greeted with cocoa and a thorough house guide with instructions to use the TV, fireplace, etc. Everything was tidy and incredibly cozy! Peter and Zuzy were helpful and easy to communicate with, making sure we had all we needed for our stay. Thank you, again!

The house was great. All the rooms were really big. Everyone could spread out or come together as they wished. The location was great too. So close to Stowe Mountains and many restaurants. The owners were very responsive and super helpful when we couldn’t figure out how to get the Patriots game on the Roku. We really enjoyed our stay,

Perfect winter getaway

Perfect winter getaway

We traveled from NYC for a week over Christmas to work, ski and relax, and have returned refreshed thanks to our time here. The house is close to the ski area - so close that one of us got a couple of runs in before a 9:30am meeting - and even closer to the cute town of Stowe, but it’s set back from the road and nestled in the trees so it feels like a real getaway. It’s spacious but feels cosy, and we loved the attention to detail and care that the Zvaras have put into the house. The two office desks were a nice touch and came in very handy. The Zvaras are great hosts - very responsive and kind. We’d love to see what the place looks like in the summer!
