About this cabin rental
Enjoy this newly renovated 3 bedroom 2 bathroom cabin in the conveniently located Mountain Shadows Resort, very close to downtown Gatlinburg.
Our cabin is family owned so you can count on us to do all we can to give you a five star experience.
Inside the cabin you’ll find stylishly decorated rooms with real log & pine walls, vaulted ceilings, brand new furniture and beds with top rated memory foam mattresses, a gas fireplace, high speed WiFi, four 70 inch and one 75 inch flat screen ROKU TVs.
The big screen TVs are designed to be simple to use. They come with free channels provided by ROKU or you can bring your own login to watch most any service you like. If you’d like to make sure you won’t miss the big game, just bring the login and password for the service you use at home for viewing at the cabin.
Our beautiful kitchen is stocked with essential dishes, utensils, pots, pans, wine glasses, bottle openers, and a coffee maker for both single use pods or by the pot.
The cabin can sleep up to ten people. The master bedroom has a king size bed and a trundle, which is a twin bed with another roll out twin bed underneath. The second bedroom has a queen size bed. The third bedroom is a loft with a king size bed. Lastly, if needed the living room has a sofa bed.
The master bedroom has a bathroom with heated tile floors and a step in shower. The guest bathroom has a bathtub with a shower.
The glassed-in back porch has a six person hot tub. This is a more secluded spot tucked into the side of the mountain and under the forest canopy. Swim towels are available, so there’s no need to use bathroom towels.
Instead of parking cars in the garage, we’ve added heat and air conditioning to make it a game room. The game room currently has a 75 inch ROKU flat screen TV, an 8 foot pool table, a full size foosball table, a full size air hockey table, and last but not least, a four person arcade machine that really does have 13,000 games! It has most or all of every game made for Atari, Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, GameBoy, Sega, Sega Genesis, and so many more!
Outside the cabin you’ll find a gorgeous wooded mountainside lot with a small stream flowing just a few feet from your master bedroom and kitchen windows. Out front you’ll enjoy a spring fed pond with a family of goldfish that have lived there for over 18 years. Depending on recent rainfall there’s even our own private waterfall on the hillside just South of the cabin. You’ll have plenty of space for parking on the driveway. This cabin is NOT on a narrow or steep road with switchbacks but is in a safe and easy to access location. As our guests you’ll have seasonal access to 2 community pools and a pavilion with a BBQ grill.
You’ll find everything you need close by, including restaurants, bars, a liquor store, grocery store, and 100s of attractions. You’ll be minutes away from famous downtown Gatlinburg, Smokey Mountain National Park, and a short drive from neighboring DollyWood and Pigeon Forge. Our location is so close to the excitement that you’ll spend far less time driving and more time enjoying your vacation.
Our kids’ favorite nearby activities include hiking to scenic views & waterfalls, “Dolly Parton’s Stampede,” miniature golf, go carts, feeding the “Goats on the Roof,” riding mountain coasters and stopping for a treat!

The cabin is spacious (bigger than expected from the photos) and in a great location (just minutes from downtown Gatlinburg). Our family enjoyed the game room, the family room, the fully stocked kitchen for making meals, and the comfotable rooms. This made the stay restful and fun when we weren't exploring the Smokies. We saw the most bears on the trip from the cabin itself (none seemed aggressive but one did check out the vehicles). It was beautiful to see them, but i would recommend looking up basic bear safety if you aren't used to being around them. Dan was an excellent host and very attentive for any questions. Overall, beautiful cabin, beautiful lovation, and a happy family stay!

The location and place was fantastic. Communication with owner was super. My family is already planning our next stay. We felt very blessed to be able to stay here and share some family time.

This cabin is beautiful and clean. The kids loved the game room. The hot tub was nice and relaxing. The couches were really comfortable. All of the rooms had nice, big smart TVs. We enjoy sitting on the porch swing. The owner was very responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

Dan was so easy to contact (even when he is in the back of an airplane he still replies). The cabin is in a perfect location at the base of the mountain close to town but still the same mountain vibe.

There’s not much more you can ask for. Beautiful, spacious, well laid out home that is close to everything. When we weren’t out and about, the kids loved the game room and we enjoyed the hot tub.

Wonderful cabin, close to all the local attractions. Spacious with a game room that was a huge hit with the kids.
The host Dan was so accommodating and welcoming, letting us check in a few hours early. Would stay again and highly recommend this cabin!

It is the best location ever. 8 minutes from Gatlinburg downtown and 3 minutes from a Dollar General. Excellent space for parking our cars and it is super close to the main road. Amenities are a trip, super clean, super organized and will definitely recommend it again. Most probably I will try to go back again this year.

We spent the week in this beautiful cabin and enjoyed every minute. Ths property was just as listed, very clean, and more than we expected. The gameroom was so much fun, we slent hours enjoying family time in there. The hot tub was also very clean and relaxing. If we head back to the area we will for sure be looking to stay here again!

Stayed for Spring Break. Newer property and well cared for. Very responsive and pleasant owners. Close to downtown Gatlinburg but out of the rush and hustle. Enjoyed the hot tub and game room at night.

Booked this for a week and from the reviews had high expectations and was looking forwarded to an amazing stay. That though all ended the first night. The guest room tub drained extremely slow which kept us from using it. That left us with 1 working shower and with 3 females that is one reason why we looked for a 2 full bath cabin. Informed the owner and was told that the handy man will look at it… that never happened. Then the central heating and a/c made a very loud metal scraping noise every time it came on. At night while sleeping this noise woke us up every time it came on. Informed the owner and it took a day for the hvac guy to come out to confirm the it needed to be repaired but parts weren’t available. Owner stated it still works but never addressed the annoying noise it made every time it turned on. The owner was very responsive but didn’t do anything except thanked me for letting him know for the next guest that would stay. You would think that if there was any problems with your stay that impacted comfort that the owner would do something. Like provide us with a free night or offer to drop off heaters or offer us a refund so we could book somewhere else…anything other than what he did which was nothing. There are so many other cabins in the same area that had I would have selected. Even after the first or second night I would have moved to another cabin.

This large cabin is very close to downtown Gatlinburg (just 5 minutes or so) and is extremely well-thought-out and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

Dan was wonderful from start to finish. He went over and above to make sure our time at his cabin was great! His home was comfortable and convenient. And our kids LOVED the game room. So fun!! I highly recommend this property.

The garage turned game room was awesome. Pool table had straight sticks and was level, arcade has a ton of games, air hockey was fun, also has a Foosball table.
Hot tub was nice and large. It's in an enclosed room, so you are out of the elements and don't have to be cold when you get out (no real view, so didn't matter that it was in a room. Lot of windows though). The door to get to it is off the master bedroom though. Wasn't an issue for us, but good to know depending on the dynamic of who's sleeping where.
Kitchen was nice and fully stocked. Plenty of space in cabinets to put your stuff (food, cups, ect).
Livingroom was comfortable. All the rooms have nice, new, huge TVs. They are Roku TVs, so you can just use that to access you own streaming apps. Just remember to log out of the. Whe. You leave. They are all flush mounted do you can't access the imput ports (good to know for us as we bring our firestick on all of our trips).

The host made everything very clear with helpful instructions as well as checking in occasionally. The property was clean and comfortable. The location was great being just down the street from the main road into Gatlinburg. I would stay again and recommend to anyone.

Exceeded our expectations! I felt like we were staying at an upscale hotel! The updated decor provided a calm aesthetic that was perfect for a relaxing evening after stressful games.
The location was perfect for getting to and from Rocky Top Sports world without having to battle traffic.

My girlfriend and I booked this cabin from September 24-26. This was our first cabin rental in Gatlinburg and I must tell you that we will be making many more trips to this cabin. Dan is an amazing property manager. He responds to you asap and will answer any question you have. The cabin is in a perfect location and it is peaceful. The cabin was spotless and had everything we needed.
If you want a private cabin away from any interruptions that is literally down the road from Gatlinburg, then this is the perfect cabin for you. The game room and inside jacuzzi cannot be matched. My girlfriend and I cannot wait to be back at this location in the future.
