Guests under 25 are not allowed unless granted permission on a case-by-case basis or additional high-risk fee.
Pets are approved on a case-by-case basis and are $50 per night per pet (although usually discounted for longer stays).
The basement is not accessible to guests while it undergoes renovation. There may be some evidence of construction in the yard like staging/storage of materials.
The side yard is not pictured as it's not an amenity.
The garage is not available.
Work MAY be done (with guest's explicit permission) to the basement or outside area during their stay. This normally applies to longer-term stays. Would not disturb the guests nor enter the main living areas.
No central AC. Each BR (except main level) has window unit, 1 unit on main level in LR
*The home is located 3 miles from the middle of downtown. With this comes an amazing, centrally located home near anything you want to do. It also comes with certain things that come along with the inner core of the city. If you're wanting the burbs, this isn't the home for you. On a busier city street, although the new windows do an amazing job of keeping the home quiet. Plus the home is on a hill, so street noise is very minimal especially in the backyard.

House Rules (we will also send these prior to check-in and they include a user manual of sorts)
*park in back, fence to fence. Do not park on neighbor's driveway. Enter via back gate. Enter via the backdoor.

You can certainly have other guests enter in the front, just use back door for main exit.

*There is NO smoking inside the house of any kind. Smoking inside will be an automatic charge of $TBD.

*Shoes off inside at ALL TIMES! No exceptions. This has been proven by the CDC to reduce germs and overall reduces wear and tear to hardwood floors, carpet, etc.

*There is absolutely NO moving of furniture (dining room chairs are the exception). If you need something moved, please let us know. Moving furniture is the EASIEST and surest way to damage the floors. Scratches from violation of these rules may result in damage charges.

*please make us aware of any damage, issues, or concerns within 1 hour of check-in.

*Stays over 1 day must water the flowers as needed. If you're unwilling or unable to do so please let us know. Any flowers damaged due to lack of water will be charged. We are not a hotel with gardening staff- pretty flowers need water. If you cannot water please let us know.

*Please only run bedroom air-conditioners when using the bedrooms. The rooms cool off very fast, no need to run them when not home please. Save energy, save the earth.

*Quiet hours are 10pm-7am. Please respect the neighbors.

*one garbage can is for recycling, one for trash. Please separate. Please review Minneapolis guidelines for recycling and follow them. Plastic bags are not allowed in recycling bins, for example. If we have to go through the trash to properly sort recycling and garbage you may be charged. Please familiarize yourself with the recycling guide-

This is a really nice house with great woodwork throughout. The kitchen is a large usable space. We had plenty of room to spread out into the other rooms on the first floor with many seating options. We appreciated the large walkin shower. Upstair bedrooms were well appointed with comfortable beds. Our dog enjoyed the spacious backyard as well. Warm evenings on the deck will be nice as the summer warms up. Overall this property met my expectations.

Numerous issues we experienced • Difficulty opening entrance (gate on fence). After a few minutes we used a stick to raise the bar & open the gate • House was very dusty so we cleaned a little • Bring your own pillows unless you like sleeping on thin ones • Check the dishes & utensils. We had to clean a mug & knife • Spiders on the bed • Flies in an upstairs bedroom • Ants crawling on the floor • Lamps without on/off switches • Light sockets without bulbs • Coffee machine with no visible instructions • Downstairs kitchen light switch on wall is loose & lights flicker. Sometimes, these lights would flicker on their own & turn off even after you found the “sweet spot.” • Downstairs has one window AC unit. When we arrived a large number of window shades were up letting in the heat. 4th bedroom is down stairs. We turned the air down & went to a Twins game. We returned that evening & the downstairs was still warm • We were really excited to lounge on the deck but host revealed in the greeting that the last guest had damaged them & the host was waiting on a claim to be resolved. The assumption was no cushions • Host also sent a lengthy message and asked me to leave a 5 star review • We left the property & made other arrangements at a hotel

I had a horrible experience. I booked this house 5 months in advance for my bachelorette party. I never heard anything from Blake after booking so I contacted him an hour before getting to the house. I was then informed that the house was double booked and I was left to find my own lodging for the weekend. Blake was responsive to the problem but I’d advise you contact him sooner rather than later to insure that this issue does not happen to you!!!

The property is rundown compared to listing photos. The prior guests were difficult which trickled down to us. Owner had to come for 3 days to cleanup the outside. We were having my Moms funeral so this was all stressfull. We had to take the old cushions for the outdoor furniture out off the garage and cover with blankets for our Celebration of Life gathering. There were still 5 bins of stinky garbage in the back. Blake tried but getting the property together was tough. I think compensation was in order. The kitchen was poorly appointed and cupboards dirty.

Mouse droppings in kitchen drawers. Lots. In almost every drawer. Some new. Some old. (See earlier reviews.) We contacted the owners first night about bed sheets having crumbs/debris/hair/crusty unknown spots. Cool old house that simply needs a deep cleaning.

Our family of 6 gathered here for our Christmas get-together. There was plenty of room for everybody. The house is a lovely historic home and had touches of Christmas decor in every room. Beds were comfortable and kitchen had plenty of dishes and cookware. We had a couple of inusual needs come up during our stay and Blake was easy to reach by phone. Thanks for a nice stay!
