The Little House was truly perfect for two people! The house is very clean, the neighborhood is quiet, and the home has everything you will need. Melani was very kind and easy to communicate with. If we ever return to Escalante, we will be staying here again!

It's always hard to tell from the pictures, but when we pulled into the driveway after dark, by husband and I started to chuckle and we both said "It's adorable!"
It's small (as stated) but has room for a bed, love seat, kitchen area and small bathroom, with plenty of room to move around in.
The fridge is large enough to hold full size milk jugs.
There is a small stove/oven and a microwave.
There is no washer/dryer and no room to put one.
The house is very tastefully decorated and has a history included in the binder of other information.

Our stay in Melani's little house was fantastic. We enjoyed reading the history of the house. I'm a big fan of perserving the past. The house was thoughtfully stocked and delightfully decorated. Melani and her family suggested a couple of great hikes in the area, and a wonderful place for dinner and breakfast. We hope we can stay in this heavenly little house again. Thank You!!!

The little house has a perfect 5 star rating for a reason. You can tell it was put together with thought and care. Great use of space, comfortable, exceptional clean (this is normally my biggest complain with rentals, but not this one!) and easy to cook meals. Everything in the house is quality, no skipping like so many other rentals. Good value for money. Can easily walk to Main Street. Nice bench out back for watching sunsets.

This little house was THE perfect place for myself and a hiking buddy! It was pretty central to the area for the parts of Escalante Staircase we wanted to explore, whether going W-SW to Bryce or to the E-NE to Singing Slot and the most northern end of ES National Monument. The host was FANTASTIC to work with, and, in fact, was quite PRO-active a few times. I felt like they really wanted us to have a great experience and that they took upon themselves to make us feel as welcome and comfortable as possible. Goal achieved! Should I come back to this area and explore some more (this is my 3rd time in this quadrant of Utah, so it's likely!), I will look for this property's availability again. Just a GREAT experience here! Thank you!

The Little House has to be one of my favorite stays in a VRBO. The quaintness, the decor, the history, and the superior cleanliness of it all make it such an enjoyable experience! It is a very clean space and well taken care of. The neighborhood is quiet and feels safe. The bed is comfortable and there is space to spread out and relax. The owner immerses you with the story of the history of the place and it just makes the whole experience more like an "experience" than just a stay in a VRBO. We had a question to ask the owner and she got back with us immediately with great suggestions. If we are ever through Escalante again, this will be the place we hope to stay in!

The Little House served as a wonderful central place to call home while we explored Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, and Zion National Parks, as well as Kodachrome State Park. We had a great time and were happy knowing we had a comfortable place to rest in between. Location is awesome, all parks are within two hours of this little cottage. Everything we need was there. When we had our one and only problem, or host was a quick, responsive problem solver. We would absolutely stay here again! Thank you!

We stayed in this sweet little home for 4 nights as a base for multiple big hikes in the Grand Staircase Escalante NM. The location could not be more perfect in terms of proximity to restaurants and groceries, as well as proximity to amazing wilderness and canyons. The house has everything you need, is beautifully decorated and maintained, and Melani responded quickly and graciously to all of our questions. A wonderful stay, we would definitely come again.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful two nights at the Little House. We had everything we needed and Melani was great to provide a heads up on the access to the local grocery store since we came in late on a Sunday.
Enjoyed hiking to the falls near Lower Calf Creek and would book again for sure.
If you are lucky enough to get a taste her cookies, they are amazing. :)

This was our second stay at the little house, our host Melani, is great. The house is clean and exactly as advertised. Melani even gave us produce from her garden and apple tree. Best place to stay in Escalante!

We loved the little house! Everything we needed in a nice compact cozy space. Host was very kind and thoughtful, easy to communicate with. We had access to the garden right at the end of the season and were lucky enough to pick ripe apples from the tree in back. The location was absolutely perfect as a base for hiking in Grand Staircase - Escalante and Capitol Reef National Park. Very comfortable bed with really nice handmade quilts. Highly recommended.

The "Little House" was perfect for our needs. The owners thought of everything that a visitor would need, down to the salt and pepper shakers. The couch and bed were comfortable. There is a garden where (at the right season) vegetables and fruit are there for the picking. We look forward to returning someday.

The Little House is such a gem! It is fully stocked with everything you might need to make your stay perfect, it is tastefully decorated, comfortable and incredibly clean!! There is a book about the history of the Little House as well which we found so interesting! We had a wonderful happy hour w fruit and vegetables from their garden and had s’mores around the fire under the amazing Dark Sky! Melani was quick to respond and wanted to make our stay perfect-which it was! Thank you so much Melani! We would love to stay again if we are ever back in the area!😊

We stayed 5 nights in The Little House and it was perfect for our needs. Comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen with a good sized refrigerator, TV and good WI-FI. We wanted to hike and explore and it was a great base, about equal distance between Bryce and Capitol Reef. Melani was always available for questions or needs. We will definitely be back!

I was traveling by myself and "The Little House" fit me perfectly. House was recently completely redone and was much more convenient and comfortable than a hotel room. Melani was easy to contact and resolved the one minor issue, broken coffee maker, immediately. I would definitely stay here again.

Melani was extremely communicative and helpful and the house is perfectly situated within walking distance of all the places you'd like to visit in Escalante when you're not out romping in the wilderness! All in all this was a 10/10 stay!

I cannot recommend the little house highly enough. It is so well done. The couch is comfy, the bed is comfy, great pillows (and I’m a real weirdo about pillows). I loved the way it was decorated! Truly a perfect stay. You will not regret booking this place!

Cute and tiny - adequate furnishings and kitchen supplies for two people. Incredibly clean and quiet. A great base camp for those of us who want to hike and sightsee, but sleep in a real bed. Just FYI, it’s a studio style set up… so if you’re an early bird married to a night owl, this might not be the place for you.
