Gorgeous cottage
A gorgeous little cottage, just off the main street in Porthmadog. Lots of pubs, coffee shops and eateries just on your doorstep. The Creel fish and chip shop was amazing and the food in The Australia looked great although we didn't eat there as we were out til later most days. Very dog friendly pub as is The Ship and Tafarn Pencei on the harbour. The Indian restaurant across from the cottage was lovely. I nearly didn't book this cottage as the reviews were negative about the staircase, shower and parking .None of which were an issue, I couldn't see any problems with the stairs or bannister level and the shower is quirky, but it's an old cottage with sloping ceilings so is expected. We got a parking space every day in the street opposite ( the one with the Indian restaurant on the corner,It's also the road down to the port, there's a little park down there and another restaurant) The cottage was clean, cosy , spacious and comfortable. Lovely kitchen and comfortable bed. A great base, near to so many lovely places to explore. I'd definitely book it again.

Really nice house, great location for the town and would definitely stay again
Location great. House lovely. Really enjoyed our stay.
Parking was away from house, may cause issues for some although we were fine and parking in close by streets was always available. Dropping off and picking up belongings at start and end of holiday was fine for a short period anyway.

Lovely home to stay in . Hope to come back again.
The home is full of character, with eccentric sloping floors and the original steep staircase. The décor is delightful and all of the finishes are lovely and easy to clean. The way all of the lighting has been set up is brilliant and we loved the lovely oak furniture. The cottage has huge thick walls at least 3 foot wide and it is very warm and cosy when the temperature drops thanks to the excellent central heating and all of the the tightly fitting doors and windows. The scenery in north wales is amazing and there are plenty of places to visit. We found people to be friendly and welcoming locally.
Actually, it didn't bother us at all but future people staying there need to be aware that there is no parking outside of the house. There are double yellow lines directly outside. Providing your vehicle is not hugely auto-obese, it is possible to quickly pull up and off-load or load up if you pull over enough to let other vehicles still use the road. We always found space to park our modest car in the two residential streets directly opposite and so parking was not an issue for us.

A most enjoyable stay, marred only by a prior accident to one of our party.
The location and quietness. The cleanliness and faciities provided.
The steepness of the stairs really merits better bannister support . There is no support from halfway up the flight. The bolt was missing from the bathroom door. This may have been deliberate, a safety issue, but it makes undisturbed use difficult. A safety lock should be installed. Parking around the house is difficult. A gateway opposite was suggested, but in the event was need for skip delivery.

Perfect location on a quiet street yet very close to the town centre and all amenities. Very clean, comfortable and well-equipped.
