Fantastic place to unwind!

I’ve been travelling across Japan for over a month and could finally unwind at Omishima Space Omoya. It is a well-restored traditional house in a peaceful location, with superb amenities and a great vibe. My room was rather small but comfortable, and that night I got the common areas all to myself. The staff also provides a couple of electric bicycles free of charge on the first-come-first-served-basis, and I really enjoyed cycling the island. This accommodation is perfect for both holidays and workations.

Super one night stopover, very comfortable and had everything

This was a great place to stay en route cycling Kaido and was a lovely quiet place to stay. I arrived with no food but they had some noodles which was sufficient.

Lovely space, beautiful building and good facilities

Beautiful space, good facilities with a good kitchen. About 15 min walk from the main bike drop off point. 20 minutes walk to Lawson and 30 walk to a nice Onsen.

an unusual dorm on the bike path on the Shimanami Kaido. Very nice people

a beautiful place to stop for a rest, quiet, in complete quiet surrounding, Nicely reorganised the japanese way, old style. Comfortable.

everything was great, except the length of the bed, too short for tall caucasian person...

Very good

Very convenient Location If you're doing the Shimanami Kaido For example. They apparently even sell some food For making your own Dinner, we didnt try It though but good If you werent able to Shop sth to eat beforehand.

Pretty small room For two people, but okay For one night. Might be noisy If there are more Other guests around since it's architecture is a traditional japanese House, but It was very quiet when we were there which was nice

Superb

This remodeled Japanese home was fantastic. Tatami bedrooms with an updated kitchen/bathrooms provided everything you need to experience rual living. Close to a market and a convenience store , so dining in was a breeze. Check in was easy. , staff was very friendly. Great halfway point for the Shimanami Kaido.

Exceptional

I stayed there during my cycle trip on Shimanami Kaido. It was extremely clean and it's a very beautiful peaceful place. The futon was comfortable. It's a bit off track in a residential area without any restaurants or konbinis, but as most people will be there by bike that shouldn't be a problem. Bikes can be stored rain-safe.

My room was a bit dark as the window was facing towards another building's wall. But it was the cheapest room and there are plenty of options to hang around in the rest of the house, so it was fine.

beautiful super comfortable space

beautiful space with lovely outdoor garden area nice for a cup of tea in the morning :) amazingly comfortable beds and pillows. nice clean well equipped shared cooking and eating space. stayed here on a multi day cycling trip and it was excellent. can recommend

it’s a few kms from any convenience store so get food before you arrive :)

Beautiful design, traditional yet contemporary, well thought out amenities including kitchen, lovely social space, beautiful ceramics, perfect location to watch sunrise on the beach.

Very small room although for one night it was fine.

Everything you want

Very new, clean, beautiful and calm. Had literally everything we could think of (even a music box). Also the bed was like sleeping in clouds. Would love to stay longer.

A fantastic space to discover Omishima Island.

The building was a traditional Japanese house that is recently renovated. The building has all the facilities of a modern home and hotel whilst keeping a Japanese atmosphere. The kitchen area and washing facilities are really well equipped.

It would be nice if there was a place in the room to dry wet clothes / towels.

Very clean traditional Japanese style house. The staffs are very warm-hearted and always provide appropriate help. Highly recommend to other tourist and definitely the place I want to come again.

One of the most beautiful places I have stayed. Rooms and all the common areas were spotless and beautiful. The combination of traditional Japanese house with the modern style was just gorgeous. The location is also perfect for making the Shimanami kaido bicycle trip, since it is right at the half point of the route. I will definitely come back again, when doing this bicycle trip. I am very excited to use the outside area more next time, since the owners put the new lawn down recently. The staff was also very friendly, polite and helpful. 10/10. No hesitation.
