Authentic and worth staying in again

the location was perfect in very quite, beutiful and elegant popular neighborhood at the same time very close to the tourist street and the ferries area. I liked the details inside the cottage, it is very comfortable and has an authentic Dutch character in every corner. Wi-Fi is available in the cottage and upon entering there are instructions for all the details. Self-check-in via a code to collect the key. Just for your information, the bathroom is on the ground floor and in the second floor only there are beds (1 quien bed and 2 single beds) , also knowing that there is a sofa on the ground floor that can be slept on in case it is difficult for the elderly to climb upstairs.

‏The bed sheets and blanket cover need to fill them by ourselves. ‏The windows without protective nets to prevent insects, ‏Expect to encounter some little spiders in some corner. ‏When searching for the key it was a bit tiring to clarify next to the main door there is a smaller door as shown in the attached image ‏

Prima voor een nachtje Volendam

De ligging is perfect voor een nachtje Volendam. Dichtbij de dijk en toch rustig.

In de omschrijving staan 5 bedden. Maar er staan er maar 4 en een opklapbed in de kast. Ook lag er niet overal beddengoed op de bedden. Wel een kast aanwezig waar alles in ligt.

Простирадло для ліжка було замале. Ледь одягли на матрац. Крім того було б приємніше аби воно взагалі було заздалегідь одягнуто. Гель для душу 1 на 4 персони..... малувато((

Leuk klein authentiek Volendams huisje

Hele leuke locatie in een klein oud Volendamse huisje. Wij vonden het geweldig! Je moet er echter niet heen gaan als je slecht ter been bent vanwege de steile trap en ongelijke vloer.

Het was voor ons geen tegenvaller maar een van mijn vrienden merkte op dat er heel weinig privacy is tijdens wc gebruik omdat het gehorig is en alleen een houten deurtje heeft om de douche/wc ruimte af te sluiten.

Grappig huisje, alles was scheef, vooral opletten als je de nacht naar beneden moest voor het toilet

Centrale ligging van het huisje.

De tv werkte niet, batterijen waren er niet voor de oplader 1 handdoek per persoon, meestal zijn 2 handdoeken zeker voor 2 nachten niet overbodig

Locatie was perfect

Locatie om auto te parkeren graag in mailbox. Je kan namelijk niet je auto bij het huisje kwijt. Dus moesten we eerst zelf een parkeerplek zoeken voordat we naar binnen konden voor dat formulier.

Excellent stay.

The location of the house is just perfect! Right at the center of the touristic area but in a quiet part (we were there off-season). The only noise we heard at night was ducks walking on the street :) The house had great facilities at the kitchen, although we did not really use. It was very well heated even though it is an old house.

The stairs to the second floor are steep and narrow. It would be difficult for older people to take luggage upstairs and for children to go the restroom at night.

overall a great stay. We loved the little cottage and we really enjoyed the location.

The location of this beautiful little Fishermans cottage being so close along the front strip was absolutely lovely. We were really thrilled to be so close to the town

The one thing that we did not enjoy was having to make our own bed once we arrived when you’re travelling this is one of the luxuries / expectation that the bedrooms have been made up ready for sleep

A comfy house. We felt like home during our stay here. The property was in the tourist center of volendam and we could walk to explore tourist area in volendam.

Very nice house in a very nice village close to Amsterdam

Very nice and traditional house in a very nice village, well equipped with everything necessary for a short holiday. In less than one hour by bus (very frequent!) you are in Amsterdam Centraal.

Parking is quite far from the house, but the host explained it before arriving there. We have had some misunderstandings with the host when we arrived there, but we could solve in a couple of minutes. The stairs are quite steep, so be careful if you have trouble walking or babies.

Good to stay!

I like the location and the style of the house. It’s in the center. The owner of the house was friendly. He told us a free parking place. To sum up we liked staying in that house.

I don’t like the kitchen so much but if you think it’s an old fisherman’s house, it’s normal.

A nice house in the heart of a magnificent town, Volendam, 30 minutes from Amsterdam center.

We chose this place for a stay because we couldn't afford to stay inside Amsterdam. And that was a blessing that we discovered such a picturesque town full of history, narrow and gorgeous streets of old fishermens' houses with restaurants, cafes, shops, and museums. The cuisine is wonderful (better and cheaper than Amsterdam's); you should definitely try seafood there! The house itself is nice, in the center of the town, near the old church, and just one or two houses from the main street and the seafront! The bus stop to Amsterdam is around 500-700 meters away. The view from the windows is gorgeous and serene. The kitchen is fully equipped. The beds were located on the second floor and were quite comfortable. Check-in and check-out time is flexible. The host was so friendly and kind! We had a nice conversation, and he let us check in late in the evening. Also, check-in and check-out were smooth and convenient. That was a pleasant taste of life in a house in a small town by the sea!

The lack of a hairdryer; It would help if you used flip-flops in the shower (there was no shower tray, at least when we were there); Some insects (not much of a problem. You'd expect them in a house); I have allergies, so the biggest problem for me was the cold and wet air in the house and some heavy smell. After we warmed up the house during the night (using a heater), the smell went away, and the air became dryer and more suitable for me. Also, the bed linen had a strong smell of washing powder and provoked some allergies, but after the first night, these problems were gone, and I absolutely enjoyed our stay there.
